Petition - FIRE RUSS BRANDON NOW!!!
clearwater cadet replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your looking at it the wrong ways, playing one game in toronto is not going to prevent the team from winning, and if it helps the expand the fan base, more power to it. You have to remember there are 31 other owner that want the bills to as profitable as possible, expand the game to canada, and don't want to share there revenue with under performing teams. These owners will have a say who the next owner of the team will be, regardless what happens on the field the Bills have to demonstrate that they looking to bring in other revenue sources to expand the fan base, and make the league more profitable as a whole. -
Petition - FIRE RUSS BRANDON NOW!!!
clearwater cadet replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just win baby and all out problems go way. Its the players. When they come to buffalo there is no pressure to perform, and the players know it. Its an easy pay day, there only so much money in the NFL, and the money in Buffalo is as green as anywhere. Hate me sunday, love me again on monday should be the buffalo moto. Common, these are the same fans that cheer for scott norwood the next day after he missed the kick in Sb25, or the same fans that cheer "THANK YOU SABRES" after losing in 5 to the sens in buffalo, when they should have won the cup that year. Did Russ tell Spiller to fumble on the 1 yard line against NE, or George Wilson to drop multiple game ending INTs, the list goes on and on. There comes a time when the players need to make plays, and for some reason Bills player just can't make them when there needed the most. Lay off Russ, it not his fault. -
Ugh. I blew it. My bad. I'm optimistic again.

Fitz Killed the Playoff Goose
clearwater cadet replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz did kill anything, we all knew what we had at QB, it was up to the rest of the team to rise above it. He may not be all that great, but it least I feel like he is one of the only guys who gives it his all every week. -
Bills ponder move at nickel

I think they planned on using brooks along, but he got hurt and roger was the only one left. In preseason it seemed Brooks was the best corner on the team. One of the draft "experts" had said that although Brooks was a backup in college, we was a backup to two top ten picks, claybourn and not sure who the other was, and that being a backup at LSU means your still a better corner then most of the starters out there. The one knock on him was that he can't catch, i remember im dropping a few balls in the preseason. I think they activated him 2 weeks ago, but how effective would he be this late in his rookie season. i would not be surprised to see him start next year. -
That what I love about this place, someone puts up a well thoughtout thread (and there are many on two bills drive), which would be to nice to hear everyones point of view and no one responses, but you put up a dumb/ sh#t idea like this and all the half wits on twobillsdrive come a runnin and can't wait to tell you what a idoit you are. This thread is still going 4 days later? common on. No wonder ralph sells so many tickets, if the team became good, no one would go.

The team is not out of Playoff Hunt
clearwater cadet replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would not be shocked to go 10-6, expected to lose SF, Houston, Pats in NE. no surprized by loses to Jets (opener) and NE again. The one that really hurt us was Tenn., shocked we lost that game. I think we match up well the rest of the way. Hopes are not real high, but certainy not out of the question. -
After 30 years I've stopped caring
clearwater cadet replied to jeffhcb1's topic in Off the Wall Archives
This idea that someone has to loss money is a joke. No one in the NFL losses money, they tell you how much your getting, and how must you need to spend. I only loss is a loss of profit, you might make 30 million or you might make 300 million. -
Quick notes on Titans Bills
clearwater cadet replied to jonramz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On Fitz int. CJ was in the slot, covered by a linebacker. Fitz is got to see that. Theres only 3 down lineman so that means the lanes are open, CJ runs across the field wide open (just like what the pats do with Welker). He caughts the ball goes down. Its a first down the, the clock keep running and forces the Titans to start using time outs. The bills most likely would have still needed another time out to run out the clock. -
Sorry for the off topic talk, but i'm a little bills out right now. I was watching the the last play of the jets/ pats game, the NE rusher did or attempted to hit Sanchez below the knees, causing him to fall back and get hit again, and fumble causing the game to end. I thought the Qb could not be hit below the knees. Why didn't call they a roughing the passer on the pats. Or does that rule only apply to Brady?

I don't know if there is or is not a curse, but it is incredible how the team has had just so many failure over the last 40 years. What funny is that the stadium was always ment to be built downtown. However the owner of the buffalo news back then, didn't want the stadium downtown, because she felt it would be a problem with the sunday paper delivery. So she told the county ex. at the time that if they put a stadium downtown, she would smear and crush him through the paper and he would have no chance of being re-elected. Because of that the stadium ended up in Orchard Park and the rest is history. I always wonder if stadium was put downtown if that would have been better not only for the team, but also for the city.
