  1. backup RB's are really not all that hard to find, dime a dozen.......the draft is another option, with plenty of reasonable choices in day 2.......
  2. what did you think the bengals would get for dillon? a kicking tee?
  3. were you the shooter from the grassy knowl?
  4. i think your point is moot because i see the market for henry starting at a 2nd rounder.......
  5. "Running back Travis Henry's status is uncertain for Buffalo's game at Miami on Sunday, but the Bills backup is not expected to miss the rest of the season after hurting his right leg. Without going into detail, coach Mike Mularkey said Monday Henry might not have broken a bone in his leg as was feared. Mularkey added the team is conducting further tests on Henry, and should have a more definitive diagnosis when the Bills return to practice on Wednesday." excellent news -- this should help his trade value, especially if he can contribute down the stretch.........
  6. i'd like to see TV eased in at nickelback, and then take it game by game from there........if he's ready for more workload, FS is an option, but I wouldn't count out a return to starting corner for him either......anyway, thomas hasn't impressed me all that much this season and i'd like to see less of him in the short-term.....
  7. i don't know what you guys are talking about........ice told us all months ago that big mike sucks, and will always suck, and will never amount to anything.....and we all know that guy is never wrong........
  8. first 5 games = 31.8 pts/game last 5 games = 36.0 pts/game good press? how bout a more effective offense??
  9. not if you keep pulling the same stunt that got spiked banned........you might be gone before bledsoe is.........
  10. he is 31 -- so is villy, but that didn't stop the bills from signing him...... he has missed games -- he played more then villy did last year...... and finally, loads of money?? his signing bonus was a meager 1.39 million, and he's making the league min this year (660K)......that makes for a cap hit of less then a million, something the bills certainly could have afforded....... i could really care less how much he weighs -- he's a better lineman then what we have at LG....... i don't think his attitude was ever really in question -- everyone knew what green was up to with that move.......i think he's a highly respected vet in league circles....... so yea, i would consider your "reasons" excuses.......i don't see anything there that should have stopped the bills from signing him.......it's obvious that his signing would have helped the team -- something i said the day he was released by the cards (with the accompying statement that i didn't think donahoe would pursue him because he was putting too much faith in tucker)......
  11. too many excuses if you ask me.........looks like money well spent for the jets, while we struggle for consistancy on the line........ scheme? he knows how to run and pass block effectively......if that doesn't fit into our "scheme", maybe we need to change it.........
  12. and why wasn't it addressed last off-season? pete kendall was out there for the taking and would have filled the hole at LG.....our division rival got him instead, and i don't see anyone complaining about their o-line.......
  13. jeez, why was i hardly surprised to see you mention the word "bledsoe" in a post about harrington........so predictable......can't even go one post without trashing the guy.......
  14. i think it's too early to call harrington a bust........despite the rumblings in DET, he has shown improvement this year......granted it hasn't translated into wins, but with a supporting cast like DET has, it's hardly surprising........i still believe harrington will turn out to be a solid QB......
  15. so if spikes got injured, would he be considered a "waste of space" or "not worth the money"?? injuries happen......troy vincent, when healthy, is a very good corner and mcgee has proven that the bills could have used a very good corner this season....... funny how most of you called it a great signing at the time.......
  16. here here........quite sad to see posters too stubborn to actually give the guy credit after p*ssing on him week in and week out.......
  17. 1) MW is a RT.....that is the position he has been trained at the past few years, and to waste all that development time now would be a step back in his play, not a step forward.....i know everyone hates to hear it, but salary cap plays into this decision.......he is making too much to play guard, it tips the scales away from other positions..... 2) Vincent is a pro bowl caliber CB.......why mess with a good thing? 3) i could care less if edwards starts or not.....it's not like any team in the NFL plays 2 DT's only, every team rotates.......edwards gets lots of snaps now, and that isn't gonna change dramatically just because he's starting.......adams and big pat are run stoppers, edwards is a better pass rusher......again, why mess with a good thing? edwards has proven he takes plays off when left out their too long.... 4) i feel bledsoe gives us a better chance to win and would rather see him start.....when the season is officially over, that is the time for losman......until then, it's drew's team......
  18. i think the penatly is a slap on the wrist..... 2 superbowl rings for a 1 million dollar fine and a 3rd round pick?? i'd take that deal every time..... league should have made an example of them and hit them with 2 first rounders and more cash........i'm sure alot of teams are still doing the same things (there just smart enough not to get caught), and considering how easy denver got off, more teams may join in as well......
  19. didn't we just save a roster spot with the cut of brown, a pure kick/punt returner who added no value at WR?? people are making way to big a deal about keeping 4 QB's.......
  20. wouldn't this be an injury settlement, not a straight cut? i think that effects the bills ability to resign him......i'm not sure, maybe someone can clarify.....
  21. shouldn't this be a considered a bad thing? hear me out.... UDFA making NFL rosters aren't all that common.......if we have this many undrafted guys breaking in and stealing spots, what does that say about our depth?? i don't think any more then 1 or 2 of these guys make the roster......our practice squad is looking like it will be impressive though and offer some versatilaty.....
  22. you guys do realize steinbach is hurt, right?? he had off-season elbow surgery (twice), missed the first two games of the pre-season, and left the third game after only a few snaps........ this could be an issue that lingers......willis isn't the only one with injury concerns........
  23. i can't believe no one has mentioned it....... don't forget poor little mary jane stevo!! up on the east coast of canada we got whacked by hurricane juan last year around this time......we were without power for a week.......all the essentials you can find (with a little effort) after the storm hits, but your source will dry up quick.....
  24. well, to each his own....the moves speak for themselves...... i find it extremely curious that other teams don't have a problem keeping their young talent around but you like to "speculate" that our talent wants to leave.....bottom line -- put a fair offer in front of a player and you never know what will happen......according to you, winfield and price were just greedy......i disagree, i think they were lowballed when a little faith could have locked them up......... but like i said, if you want to apologize for TD, go for it....just get a few more ready for when schobel, jennings, and big pat all leave next off-season........
  25. let's see BB....... i stated we should have got schobel (and others) locked up LONG AGO........the longer we wait, the more expensive it gets..... someone mentioned how the cap is tight now, that we don't have much room to work under it.......you supported that thread, and asked me to explain how to create cap room to get these deals done........ because i think it's too late to make room, i explained how we got in this situation by pointing out couple bad deals (teague and PP) that TD has signed and questioned the timing for the release of one the bad deals he took on (brown)......you, for some reason, defended the signing of teague and PP even though it is obvious they are overpaid...... i could care less if you get the point now or not, because it's obvious your so hell bent on apologizing for TD that your never gonna admit any error in judgement he makes...... just keep this in mind when schobel, jennings, and williams all walk out the door.......same story as price and winfield -- we could have had them at fair market prices and instead we let them test free agency, only to see them walk for huge contracts......everyone defended TD for not paying them huge contracts, while at the same time ignoring the fact he could have signed either in the preceding off-season at a MUCH cheaper cost.......
