  1. i believe denney is a free agent after the '09 season, so he's winding down anyway ellis is going to have to earn a spot on the active roster after last season......and of course, injuries can happen
  2. i agree - fine and corner were out of nowhere last year
  3. RT - i think the bills are happy with bell, chambers, and possibly butler and/or levitre competing OLB - get reddie keiaho on the phone now before someone else does TE - YES! give me sheftler for the 4th or use it on a guy who slips FB - YES! not hard to find in the 5th or 6th DT - i reaaaaaaaaly wanted raji, but i actually think the bills are going to be okay there IF mccargo reverts back to his '07 form. stroud, williams, johnson, and mccargo is a solid 4.
  4. it doesn't matter who starts - given the fact the bills play their DL in waves all 4 DE's will see plenty of time
  5. travis beckum is to blocking what robert royal is to receiving.....sorry, not a fit for the bills offense
  6. it's quite unfortunate that peters is too dumb to see the message here - show up, play hard, get paid
  7. buffalo needs to take a page out of denver's book and just move quickly on getting peters out of town as soon as possible......make it known he's available, take the picks you can get, and move on........he is more trouble then he's worth and painted buffalo into a corner (i.e. pay me a ridiculous amount that is more then i'm worth and then i may produce or i'll holdout again and suck on the field)
  8. i think stafford and sanchez are gone before the bills pick, which is fine - the more QB's that go before us results in more position players of need falling sanchez could go as high as #2 or #3, if the rams or chiefs deal back, or even to the seahawks at #4 as they are monitoring all the QB's closely (perhaps as a smokescreen, perhaps not) but if sanchez is off the board at #4 or earlier that could really raise freeman's stock.........would be ideal to see him taken before us, sliding another player down the board...........even if he's there when we pick it should open up some trade possibilities with the broncos and jets
  9. non-factor - raji is a stud, sober or messed up.......hopefully this makes him fall to #11
  10. bills might still have a shot at crowell - there is no guarantee that he actually makes the bucs roster and sees any of that 2M.........he could end up being cut in camp that being said, i'd gladly give cato june the exact same deal if i'm the bills
  11. i've seen you raise these points in other posts and i frankly disagree strongly with them..........the bills can find a replacement for peters in the first round - be it with the 11th pick or a later pick acquired for peters......i'd rather take my risk in the draft then roll the dice on a ridiculous contract for peters that could handcuff this franchise for years - and that appears the only way he'll sign is if he gets something ridiculous i'm sure you didn't expect ryan clady to put up a pro-bowl type season in his rookie year - in fact, i'm sure you would have said it was impossible.......but it happens i remember when the colts were left without a LT when tarik glenn abrubtly retired - they turned around and grabbed ugoh in the SECOND round and haven't looked back since.......has that offense missed a beat? it's the same short-sighted and ultimately incorrect arguement you made in regards to filling the MLB spot a couple seasons ago - how a rookie could never step in and learn the playcalls, for some outlandish reason......PP came in and won the job out of training camp by doing just that, and would have been damn effective if not for the injury the bills need to move on if they have that option.......a 1st round pick would do the trick and they would be in a much better position going forward........give me andre smith or oher at #11 and pettigrew/pass rusher/mack at the other 1st rounder and let's move on without the dead weight........rookies can play just fine if you draft well - and they can often perform better then "pro-bowl" malcontents who don't give a damn about the team
  12. IF the bills can get a 1st for him, they have to - he is more trouble then he's worth......he won't be missed by me, not after all the games he played last off-season IF the bills can't get a 1st for him, the foolishness continues........i not convinced any team will want this malcontent around at that draft pick cost, especially considering the financial commitment that he apparently feels is warranted.......that's fine though, the bills can roll with it - and peters can roll with 2 more years on his contract and play them out, like it or not
  13. i don't see why the lions would have any interest in trading up - the team went winless so it's not like they are that one piece away from a championship..........they need as many picks as they can get
  14. i hope we aren't waiting that long to sign a starting LB........for the amount of money we are talking about here (i.e. pennies), it isn't worth having a guy miss all the spring sessions and the chance to build some camaraderie with his teammates
  15. i hope guys like june, keiaho, simmons, and bentley are as gullible as you
  16. if the cost is a 3rd i'd rather see it used in the draft on a TE......if the chiefs will take less then we're talking perhaps gonzalez and waters for a 3rd? that might work......i'm sure poili is eager to get some draft picks in for his rebuilding effort, especially after burning his 2nd on cassell/vrabel
  17. i am shocked that, with the use of your brilliant reading comprehension, you have reached this biased conclusion! i wouldn't expect anything less from jason peters' biggest apologist! if they are recounting the situation why didn't they say "these fines were later waived" or "there is some doubt as to whether these fines were ever paid"? seems strange to leave out such an important detail as they recount the entire situation, don't ya think? the article indicates the only thing the bills gave him was the assurance that his contract would be discussed once he reported.......as per the article, doesn't appear they gave him a forgiveness on the fines
  18. most interesting part of that article was "After being fined more than $600,000 for the time he missed".........that's the first time i've seen it in print that he was in fact fined and that they weren't just waived once he reported.........and that certainly shoots a hole in the arguments made by some that peters didn't lose anything from his holdout
  19. he was not among the 40 odd guys chris brown named, so more then likely not which is far from surprising given the ridiculousness of last off-season and the horrible shape he showed up in
  20. i'm really hoping for raji or brown out of that #11 pick, and it might happen.......i know people are saying they'll likely be off the board by the time our pick rolls around, and that is certainly possible, but everyone needs to remember that there is usually a surprise or two in the top 10 that pushes a projected top 10 guy down the order a bit......last year it was derrick harvey and jerod mayo who very few had in their mock top 10 but went 8th and 10th respectively
  21. 10M cap hit for cleveland if they trade/release rogers - just ain't going to happen, there hands are tied
  22. who wants the #1 pick with the price tag associated with it? the fact of the matter is the lions (or the phins last year) couldn't give it away
  23. pat thomas is a special team signing....good money says the bills still end up with june or keiaho opposite mitchell
