there are going to be an awful lot of disappointed people when nugent does last to the bills pick in the 2nd and they pass over him for another prospect......

they had to "give him away" because they screwed up and didn't deal him when they had the chance i.e. spring, before the draft........when will teams learn that it's not smart to stare down these types of guys? just cash out, trade him in the spring when they're is a market, and move on........ green bay dropped the ball with mckenzie in the same fashion and also sold themselves short.......they could have dealt him before the draft for more.......

what does any of that garbage have to do with that flea-flicker play? that is all that questioned, not the rest of your post.......the truth is there was nothing wrong with that play and you shouldn't be bashing him for it......

why do people think guys like booker and mason would want to come to buffalo and be demoted to a #3 role?? guys like this are legit starting WR's........set your aim a little lower if you want to land a replacement for reed.....

and just think how many people DIDN'T want to see peerless tagged? apparantly it was too "risky"........haha same people who think it's a bad idea to tag jennings this year.......

does the bledsoe bashing ever stop? it was 3rd and 19, willis almost got tackled in the backfield, and drew had next to no time to unload.........despite that, he threw a PERFECT pass just over the safety's head........ bash the guy when he deserves it, but not when he's setting up a game tying field goal heading into half......

i'm with you -- spend the bucks on other areas, as our WR'ing core is fine........it's just young and, as we all know, WR's is generally one of the toughest positions to learn in the NFL.........tons of guys breakout in their 3rd or 4th year (and that could be reed or aiken this year).......it's not like we need a moss or TO -- we just need a 3rd wideout........

troy vincent really needs to earn his money in '05.......injury wasn't his fault and doesn't make the signing "a dud", but we didn't get much production from him in '04.........

that's why you don't let him get to free agency! you pay the man -- he's earned his contract........ i'm sick of people acting like buffalo is some disadvantaged franchise that can't afford to keep their good YOUNG talent........this is a salary cap league and we have the same amount of room as everyone else........thankfully, our cap is in good shape and we can afford to keep guys we develop......watching guys like winfield (and perhaps jennings) walk away is a shame, especially considering we could have kept them around just be giving them fair offers a year before they turn free agents....... oh that's right, the players are greedy, they all want to leave, they don't want our money a year early, yada yada yada.......defantiely has nothing to do with TD's "lowball" strategy......

this is a non-issue -- he won't be cut in ATL

he only started because kendall simmons went down for the season in training camp........now that he's coming back next year they don't have a spot available for him, with faneca (sp?) on the other side also a probowl talent.......vincent is a very solid starter, they just don't have room for him in PIT.........

he would make a GREAT sign if we can't afford wahle or rivera.......

great post.........everyone loves to say "but how could he resign winfield or jennings when they want so much money?" while missing the point that if TD showed faith in them EARLIER and didn't lowball them with bullsh*t offers they would already be locked up and going no where.........i'll give him credit for getting schobel signed, but he screwed up by letting winfield and jennings get to free agency and i hope he doesn't make the same mistake with nate........it's a shame to develop good YOUNG players only to see them walk away when they're entering their prime.......but like i said, no one wants to blame TD for letting it happen and insist that every player that walks out of here is just greedy......

yep, basically the entire team turned on him, as the project manager, but he deserved it after doing a horrible job.......when he got called into the boardroom first thing trump asked him was "should i fire you?" and to this he answers YES..........hahaha...........then he spends 10 mins arguing and trying to defend himself, making a complete a** of himself..........the guy showed ZERO leadership skills and deserved to go.......just another mouthpiece with nothing to say.......

i think it's too early to pin down where baas will go........he is defantiely behind brown on most boards, and even behind brooks on some.......how often do 3 guards go before midway through the 2nd round? not very often.....guards generally slip year in and year out........people said steinbach wouldn't make it out of the first round, and he did.......

contrary to all the talk on this board, even if the falcons want jennings, they might not have the room to sign him........the best place for him is right back here in buffalo with a long-term deal........5 years, 25M, 10M signing bonus -- pay the man!
