  1. i don't want to see a winborn brought in for the following reasons: 1) we need to find out what we have in crowell......if he plays well he can be shifted over to the SLB spot next year, allowing posey to be cut and saving 1M in cap room in the process......we might have a find there but we need to see him play to evalute him 2) i believe the current cap room can be put to better use (i.e. contract extensions for clements, mcgee, and/or kelsey or putting it forward into next year) 3) winborn's contract is up after this year and, again, the cap dollars can be put to better use (i.e. improving both lines)
  2. teams have been stacking the line to take deuce out of the game all year.......this will only pound home the point.......if he can't run they can't win.......brooks is error prone......
  3. seemed to be a pretty hot topic over the past few weeks given the dozen threads that have been started on the topic, both discussing the injury and the lack of news from the bills........
  4. so why the cloak and dagger job when he got hurt? why did they keep the surgery under wraps? why did they set no timetable for his return? i just don't understand the secrecy......
  5. "Bills receiver Roscoe Parrish, who suffered an injury to his right wrist in training camp last month, is still two to three weeks away from being ready to play, Buffalo coach Mike Mularkey said." questions -- why disclose that information now? i thought the bills plan was to make the opposing team scheme for roscoe in case he dresses for the game? why not say weeks ago that he wouldn't be ready for the opener when it's obvious now they knew that? is it a bluff? mularky needs to make his mind up and quit talking out of both sides of his mouth.......either shut the door on all injury information (as he has been doing) or set timetables for returns when known (as he is doing now)......if it's a strategy as many on this board have insisted he needs to stick to it and be consistent.......
  6. pure speculation........lewis was quoted as snubbing the bills AFTER they decided to go with williams........it's far from shocking that a guy who didn't get the job comes out swinging and bitter.......
  7. wouldn't be a surprise at all to see us beat the saints....... the problem is this team is built to beat up on losers but come up short against winners........this all comes back to cutting corners and signing grade B talent (or sometimes C, or even D) when grade A talent is available......the "moneyball" theory hasn't worked in baseball and it's not working for the bills either.......
  8. it's not just about whether to pay pat or not.......there were other options available.....if you decide your not going to pay the guy you need to adequately replace him and the last 2 games have shown that the bills did not do this effectively....... that being said, many seem to view pat purely at what he does on the field, ignoring the impact he had in the locker room and the message it sent to the rest of the team when the bills made a lowball effort to sign him......
  9. are those the same people who said we didn't need corey simon?
  10. in all fairness, the only information the titans had before the trade was that henry was IN the program.......they did not know what step he was in, according to fisher........they attempted to find out and the league would not release the information........
  11. it's not always about the moves TD does make.......often it's about the moves he doesn't make.......i.e. not properly addressing needs this off-season choosing instead to bargain bin shop...... by the way, AW has proven to be worth the cash (the market for CB's has continued to explode) and time will tell if JJ and PW live up to their contracts......you are correct on clements though and it's a shame this deal isn't done.......
  12. what crusade? anytime anyone is negative about a bill the "crusade" card comes out........ milloy = loves the game big mike = couldn't care less it's that simple.......
  13. don't use your thumb? how about tackling? how about catching the ball? how about bumping a receiver? god gave you a brain, try using it.
  14. moulds didn't take a pay cut......he restructured, taking salary up front in the form of signing bonus.....he didn't lose a dollar in the cap move.............
  15. it's called playing through pain........milloy did it last week when he finished the game despite breaking it before half.........that while big mike was standing on the sidelines...... and today milloy is earning his check while big mike is sitting on his ass.........funny how jennings got scolded for every little nick he had (and still does with the frequent injury reports from the niners ending up on this board) but big mike doesn't get called out for missing time..........
  16. it's not like moore is the only one who has this impression of losman.........the rumours have been out there for awhile.........
  17. Bills | Milloy Will Start Sun, 25 Sep 2005 08:33:02 -0700 ESPN's Ron Jaworski reports Buffalo Bills SS Lawyer Milloy (thumb) will start Week 3.
  18. kerney moved around last week with smith out......and once again, smith is scratched so i expect he'll line up at both again..........
  19. Falcons | B. Smith Out Sun, 25 Sep 2005 08:57:39 -0700 Atlanta Falcons DL Brady Smith (thigh) is out for Week 3. Falcons | D. White Out Sun, 25 Sep 2005 08:57:06 -0700 Atlanta Falcons WR Dez White (hamstring) is out for Week 3.
  20. pat was one option.........there were many others available, including corey simon the week before the season.......addressing the need internally does not appear to be working..........
  21. gary is obviously interested in being a head coach in the college ranks as well.......hence his interview with texas......
  22. this isn't about the bills d-line.......we're talking about the falcons d-line...... smith was inactive last week with a quadriceps injury.......he's expected to go, but who knows how long he'll be able to stay in there........again, i don't think he is anything special even at 100%.......never a big sack artist, even in his prime.......
  23. i haven't seen a LT dominate like that in a long time.......like you said, looked like he gave up in the 2nd half and resigned himself to the fact he wasn't going to get near the QB......he even came out of the game at very bad times during key drives, almost like he was afraid to face him........
  24. i would not consider the falcons d-line "one of the NFL's best front 4"...... coleman is good and will get inside pressure...... kerney can also play, although he was completely taken out of the game last week........ beyond that they have issues........lavalais and babineaux are young and unproven........smith doesn't scare anyone and on top of that he might not be able to go anyway...... 1/2 of the line looks good, the other 1/2 looks average.......doesn't make for one of the NFL's best........
