  1. so what is that in dead cap money if moulds is cut? 5M? 6M?
  2. i disagree with your assessment of gandy.......the bills have been consistently leaving their TE in pass protection to give gandy help......when they haven't given him help he has struggled (see the two sacks by jason taylor last week -- on back to back 3rd down drive killers)........he's also been flagged for holding twice this season, which is 2 more times then jennings was called ALL of last season....... gandy is not the long-term answer at LT......he's a stop gap, and an average one at that.....he'd be better suited as a backup or challenging for a guard spot......
  3. what about a third option -- trading up??........we only would have had to move 2 spots to get peppers.......
  4. i don't think his knee (sans cartilage) will hold up for a full season anymore......
  5. i just find it ironic that one of the guys who is giving bledsoe the kind of protection he never saw in buffalo is marco rivera........as we all know, he was a free agent last off-season when we had a huge vacancy at our starting LG position......however, we didn't appear to show any interest as he was never brought in for a visit....... he is obviously protecting bledsoe well, he's (at least in the games i've seen) winning his battle in the running game, and only has one false start on the season.....not to mention adding valuable leadership....... our choice, big bennie, has two false starts to go along with a holding call, is doing a good job in the running game but is getting toasted in pass protection..... i just wonder how things would have been different this season if rivera was on the bills and anderson on the cowboys........i think considerably different for both teams.......
  6. i hope everett can suit up this year........i think his precense (a big pass catching TE who can exploit defenses down the seam) is more important then roscoe's......reed is currently doing a good job as 3rd WR, but our TE's have been disappointing.......
  7. posey is signed through 2006.........however, he may be released with his 1.75 salary and the way crowell is stepping up....... as well, moulds holds the cards when it comes to his contract.....if he balks at restructuring his number to force free agency, the bills can forget about all the cap room they are saving from not having bledsoe around.....the dead cap number if moulds leaves will be astounding.....the bills need to keep him happy........
  8. i believe bowens retired and hunt is gone for the season.....
  9. you used to drop this complete waste of time and space post with a sarcastic tone.......after your recent negative comments regarding TD, i can't be sure it's still sarcastic.......
  10. CV is under contract at 2.5M in salary for '06 and '07.........1.5M in dead cap to get rid of him.......
  11. that was his projected 2006 number, correct? he is counting less then 5M on the cap for 2005 if i recall..........to me, that is the savings.......we'll have 5M more to spend next year...........
  12. you got me on your first line.........entering the 2006 off-season? no no no.......entering the 2005 off-season, the needed upgrades were too obvious!!!.......the holes in the OL were there........the hole at DT was there.......this is nothing new, they were problems back then, they just were never addressed properly........TD decided to go cheap to fix these areas and that was a BIG mistake.......sad how people are just seeing this now, but were too busy agreeing with every move (and non-move) TD made as free agent after free agent went to other teams......way too much blind faith.......TD makes mistakes, just like every other GM...... i was condemned for calling TD cheap last off-season, for not competing with other playoff/playoff ready teams for marquee talent, but that is exactly what he was.......he would not spend the necessary funds to upgrade the unit, and now we are paying for it dearly......instead he went for cheap options and put way to much faith in mcnally.......talent is needed, not 2nd rate players.......
  13. how about CAR, CHI, DAL, HOU, JAX, MIA, NE, NO, OAK, PIT, SD, SF, and SEA?????? ALL have drafted 3 or more first day OL in the past 5 years........jeez, that's almost half the league!!! well i guess all those teams are fools for drafting OL so high when they can find similar talent later in the draft! especially those silly NE Patriots!!
  14. fairly heavily? i could not disagree more........ he has not picked OL players "often on the first day"...... jennings and big mike -- that's it! those are the only two first day OL picked by TD since he got here 5 years ago.......and that is not the type of investment that will yield a quality return........TD is too busy picking the glamour positions and ignores the OL....
  15. speak for yourself......i've been railing on TD for the last two off-seasons for this specific reason and taken a beating on this wall for it........the bills will not go anywhere until the stop settling for "second-rate" players and spend money on quality........ exampe -- bennie anderson is a waste...we could have had a quality guard in that spot but TD didn't want to spend the dollars to get it done.....bargain price = second-rate player......
  16. you get what you pay for........
  17. he speaks the truth........they better start satisfying moulds cause he holds the cards contract wise at the end of the year.....and the cap hit to get rid of him is going to be shocking to many around here.......his contract has been completely mis-managed......
  18. just find it strange that after defending his off-season and mocking anyone who disagreed with his moves (or non-moves) you are now calling him out......
  19. wow.....what happened to "the bills braintrust knows best"? you seemed pretty content with their decision making in the off-season.......quite a change of heart........
  20. if he wouldn't spend on mike wahle why would he spend on steve hutchinson?
  21. no, you drank waaaaaaaaaay to much kool-aid during the off-season to give up on TD...i mean, the bills this early......... turns out sometimes the fans do know more then the GM, huh?

  23. wrong on all accounts.......but keep trying to read minds if you enjoy it.......this discussion would be much better if people actually spent less time insulting and more time thinking......but that is the standard around here.....
  24. again, thank you for offering absolutely no explanation......how insightful.......please go back to not thinking........
