personally i could care less how it is perceived -- if tambi hall (or any other player widely considered to be undraftable in the top 10) is our guy then just nab the guy at #8....... i'd much prefer actually getting a player there and being laughed at over taking a "safe" pick and being scored high on the useless draft report cards....... think the colts regret taking freeney? he was a stretch........how about the bengals taking jones? another reach.......

don't forget the loss of sam wyche (which hasn't even been confirmed yet by the bills).......that was HUGE!

soprano's story was bogus -- if the bills and sherman had a falling out why did they turn around and offer him the OC job? bates is talking to the bills because it's the only DC job left.......there is no harm in talking, and that is all their is to it.......even if he doesn't really want the job he can throw them a very high number.........if they match it, he wins, if they don't, he doesn't care........simple as that....... i really think everyone is getting too worked up about the money thing anyway.......bates is thinking it over, the job, the money, everything......he's in no rush, and neither are the bills either.......it will all get resolved in time.......

it's a little to early to past judgement yet -- the draft hasn't even happened yet! dabrick is not the only player in the draft.......there are a handful of players that would help this team a ton if they dropped to #8, and there is a good chance one of them will........we are in a very good position.......

honestly, i have no problem with that........ the problem lies in the fact we haven't high quality tackles in forever.......you spend your money on the bookends, if the right center comes along you spend the money on that, but guards can be plugged in IF the pieces around them are solid.......that is the position you don't want to overpay for....... but given the current situation the bills have, i have no problem drafting/spending on guards -- they just need to do something to make it better and we don't have time to build from the tackles in.......

"our only hope".........ohhhhhhh, the drama! he's a football coach, that is what he does, he has coached some good teams, he has coached some bad teams, and he will coach this team........there are a lot of factors that will go in to whether this team will make the playoffs this year or be watching in january once again........the coach is one factor, not the only factor........last time i checked the players mattered a little bit as well.......so does the GM, and injuries, and bounces, and the competition.......
