i think the strategy is obvious -- hoard cap room for next year when more cap room is created.......mike williams and lawyer milloy are completely off the cap in '07.........nate will see his cap number reduced, either through an extension or a trade.......fletcher is in the last year of his 5M cap hit contract........takeo will likely be restructured, extended, or released.......the only real problem deal after this season will be moulds, which very well might be resolved this off-season anyway....... so the bills are targetting young players with an eye towards keeping as much cap room as possible open for '07.........makes sense to me.......

like most f-tagged players, i doubt nate will report before camp.........that is his leverage in the situation......

willis is a workhorse and should be used that way.......he gets better as the game moves on, gets in his flow, and wears down his opponent........and on that top of that, he is a decent receiver!.......willis was defanitely underused by the previous staff....... now if only we can get some blocking for him!

save the third rounder........we don't need to go burning draft picks when there are still decent UFA guards available.......

the jets did not trade a 1st just for jolley......there were numerous picks involved, including the raiders 2nd rounder.......

they backload, simple as that......big bonuses (to get the player) that are spread out throughout the life of the contract with small salaries the first few years........when it comes time for the big salaries they either restructure or cut the player, taking the dead money hit........ the redskins benefited not just from the CBA extension (and the extra 10 or so millon that came with that) but also from lavar buying his way out of the deal......by giving them back 4M in signing bonus that is 4M that didn't have to hit their cap........that right there will almost pay for the first year cap numbers of archuletta and randal-el....... rag on danny all you want for spending the cash, but he ain't cheating.......he's just working the cap and shelling out big bonuses..........

hopefully he doesn't leave, but i really would like to see some OL visits mixed in here.........both lines need to be addressed, just not the DL

there is nothing new on rotoworld regarding bentley.......just a 3 day old story that has already been denied by bentley.......let's at least wait until this shakes down before jumping to conclusions........

i've been saying it for months - these posts with rock solid top 7's are silly......alot can happen leading up the draft.......i said it about culter weeks ago and now the media (and consequently, this board) are catching on to the possibilty of him going top 7......and is davis a possible top 7?......who knows who else will emerge leading up the draft? bottom line is don't count out brick, williams, or ngata at #8......any are possible......

pure media speculation if you ask me...... preston is flexable and can play guard or center, although it is important we get him in the line-up at one of those two spots......if we have a shot at a guy like bentley preston will surely take a backseat......

that's why i've found it so strange that this board has been so pro "sign grady jackson" this year after being so con "resign pat williams" last year - the money and age aern't that different...... i'd much rather have a younger DT like pickett or triplett in the fold.....

i disagree - think player associations have learnt from the mistakes the NHLPA made....... players are making lots of money in the current system so their is no motivation to change.........

i really don't think it's tough to find a starter in free agency.......let's not forget all those guys were starters (and in some cases stars) before they even got here....... the draft is the real challenge and donahoe failed.......
