  1. if poz/crowell/mitchell are healthy ellison and bowen won't see the field save for special teams
  2. jonathan linton is one and morris used to play some FB, no?
  3. money talks they need to get crowell locked down as well, sooner rather then later
  4. it sure would be handy to line up those 7 CB's against those 5 wide sets!! who needs a DL?? your claims about NE are a gross exaggeration http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/2...NE_Gamebook.pdf http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/2...HI_Gamebook.pdf
  5. not sure where you got the idea youboty is in his final year - he signed a 4 year contract so he's locked up through the '09 season
  6. this is why i didn't care for the reggie corner pick - only so many roster spots to go around and i don't see them having the room to carry 6, meaning someone is going to get cut.......would have made more sense to add OL depth or trade up for a receiving TE, IMO
  7. is this from the denny green school of roster evaluation??
  8. give me the top TE on the board (jermaine gresham anyone??) after the '08 season it's going to be more obvious then ever that the bills need a legit threat there
  9. your right - if your miami you use your #9 pick on a return man!
  10. they are in good shape - they still need a pass catching TE and someone to take over for fowler in time, but it's tough to pick at much else on the roster of course, they have two big free agents coming up next year that they need to get locked up now (evans and crowell).......they can't let those guys walk and create more holes on the roster.......and a backup QB will be very high on the priority list heading into next off-season (at least i hope it's a backup QB and not a starting one!)
  11. haven't the bills been a "team to watch" for like 5 years now? maybe it just feels that way anyway, i'm excited about the roster, but we need some results for a change
  12. bottom line - if youbouty and wright are performing as expected (or surpassing expectations) they don't need to be replaced.......it's not like they had to light the world on fire - if youbouty was a solid nickel corner people would be happy and the same for wright as a 3rd RB those picks that were used on their replacements could have been used in a number of other areas - could have used them to trade up, to replace a free agent who left, to protect yourself for a vet who might leave after this season, to acquire future picks in the draft, etc etc...........they shouldn't need to be replaced at this point, and if they are it signals they were bad picks doesn't really matter what round we're talking about here - the picks have value and replacing guys who should be productive is a waste of that value
  13. this draft really doesn't bode well for youboty and wright - which of course doesn't bode well for the bills current regime, seeing they picked these guys...........people are well within their rights to question the day two 2008 draft given that connection
  14. you do realize that in order for him to be on the roster he HAS TO BEAT HIM OUT! and in order for him to help on ST he needs to BE ON THE ROSTER!
  15. and unfortunately he'll be cut in the pre-season so i likely won't get to see much of him at all
  16. you completely missed the point - which is far from surprising
  17. yea, and he can also miss key blocks as well! it's great! i want a BLOCKING FB for BLOCKING not for "varying things"..........remember when shelton used to split out wide? we don't need that crap again
  18. how many roster spots do you think they have? how many game day roster spots do you think they have? this guy will end up on the practice squad, if he makes the team at all
  19. dukes - "isn't this the team that go no starts from their 2007 draft"
  20. and that is why crowell and evans need to be sorted out YESTERDAY
  21. the bills have 8 picks remaining after ellis - they don't have 8 roster spots.......would be silly not to trade up at this point........they're going to just end up cutting guys if they use all the picks
  22. why the hell would they trade down - they have a ton of picks already? they need to looking at moving back into the late 3rd
