  1. they wouldn't/won't get close to a 1st rounder for him.......more likely a 4th.........i think it's unlikely he goes anyway
  2. i'd like to see the bills try more power sweeps with marshawn......the inside game isn't working well (thanks mostly to fowler) but when marshawn can get some space on a 1 on 1, his straight arm is exceptional......the line isn't doing him any favors also like to see them run more out of 3 wide sets with no FB - need to spread out the D more
  3. we need to see what ellis can do.......he cannot possibly be worse then bryan, who has added plenty of "suck" when he's been on the field
  4. you're right - parrish was extended harrison is no longer on the club (and that worthless pile of monkey crap bryan will hopefully join him soon)
  5. i'm not a fan of the day off - looked like they had plenty to work on last sunday....that being said, it's not a real big deal i just hope they all keep their noses clean while enjoying their extended break
  6. it's funny people are talking about brown - i was looking at 2009 FA centers the other day and was surprised to see that he is scheduled for UFA after this season......he would be an exceptional pickup for the bills given his age and ability not much else at the position that i noticed, beyond matt birk, who is getting up there in age
  7. as someone else pointed out, there are defiantly juniors on the list yes, beckhum is from wisconsin and he's listed in the 1st round on every mock i've seen (probably at least a dozen)
  8. the title of this thread is pretty misleading - it's possible he could be on the move, but it is very unlikely
  9. first TE not off the board until the middle of the 3rd round? pretty unlikely and where is travis beckum?
  10. i hear he's well versed on dick jauron trivia!
  11. and this assumption is based on what exactly? you have a quote from the bills staff indicating that? if crowell was around, what percentage of the plays would the bills be in nickel/dime?
  12. what changes did they make? they're aren't many teams in the league that aren't playing nickel or dime around 50% of the game.........the bills are no exception, with crowell or without unless your advocating sending poz or mitchell to the bench in nickel situations, please help me understand how a backer who sees the field half the time is more important to the team's success then a starting center
  13. like this -->> Speaking of DBs, don't ask me why but I like Whitner and Youboty more, not less after this game. Again, don't ask me why, but I am dead serious.
  14. solid post - JP held them in the game and led some good drives over the first 3 quarters, coming off the bench with limited practice snaps........the bills defense took them out of the game because they couldn't get off the field on two 3rd and longs.........and that is when JP's play went downhill - which had more to do with the fact that the cards were pinning their ears back knowing the bills had to air it out down by 3 scores.......i put no stock in the 4th quarter of this game for anyone on the offensive side of the ball because the defense put them in a horrible situation
  15. and strangely enough, that is justin bannan with one of those picks!
  16. how often does ellison see the field? youboty is out there at least half the time (if not more), which means ellison is not..........nickel means a LB hits the bench and that is ellison.........IMO, the need to replace ellison is severely overstated on this board i can tell you who has seen the field a lot more then 50% of the time - fowler.........i think fowler has been competent, but he certainly could be upgraded and given that he is a UFA the need is a no brainer in my eyes TE is also a big need area given royal's limited natural ability.........watching travis beckham tonight, we could certainly use a receiving TE like that
  17. mark these words - by this time next year evans will be at the very least the '6th highest paid WR" in the NFL.......it's all relative at the end of the day the bottom line is the bills had to retain evans so they wouldn't be wasting a very valuable draft pick replacing him.......now that valuable draft pick can be spent on a true area of need (i.e. TE, OC, etc.), and that will only serve to further strengthen the club..........the future if bright for the bills and i'm glad evans wanted to be a part of it.........we've watched enough stars leave buffalo over the past few years over dollars - i'm glad evans wanted to stick around and that the bills put the dollars in front of him to make it a reasonable option for him to stay
  18. i don't think chambers is a slam dunk - he's a pretty solid 3rd OT and i'm sure the league has taken notice......he'll draw some interest
  19. time for reggie to step up - that's the way it works.....sorry to see mcgee miss a game but eager to see what reggie can do, and nice that he is getting his chance.......good teams have guys that can step in and do the job and i think the bills fit that mode right now i expect that on sunday we'll see greer/youboty starting with mckelvin at nickel and reggie at dime.......the rooks are earning their pay now!
  20. i said it last week - i'm ready to see ellis.......bryan isn't doing much out there on defense and i'm sure ellis can't be worse......might be a small downgrade on special teams, but i think ellis' quickness on defense more then makes up for that
  21. steve johnson makes his career debut in place of roscoe whittle will get snaps in place of barnes no other changes from last week
  22. http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/ SEHAWKS FAN SITE CROSSES THE LINE Posted by Mike Florio on September 27, 2008, 9:56 a.m. We’ve been flooded with e-mail messages about the decision of a Seahawks fan site to prepare for the team’s upcoming game against the Giants by posting a list of nauseating, tasteless, and horribly inappropriate 9/11 jokes. We weren’t going to mention the situation, because we didn’t want to push traffic to the site. But given the extent to which the story has grown legs, with stories by Deadspin and Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News, we needed to chime in. Seahawks fans, you can do better. There are plenty of other places where you can get news about your team. Actually, Seahawks fans might have no choice. The site in question, SeahawksHuddle.com, currently is down. (Here’s the cached version of the page .) We hope that it’s because their servers collapsed under the weight of the unanticipated curiosity in the site, and we also hope that it will never be back. If the site ever does return, we’ll be organizing an effort to contact all of its advertisers and plead with them to stop doing business with the site. Based on the cached page, the advertisers include RazorGator, StubHub, Google, and FansEdge. And before anyone suggests that every subject is fair game for jokes after sufficient passage of time, we don’t think that this loose rule of comedy applies to the single greatest tragedy in the history of our country. It’s been nearly 67 years since Pearl Harbor, and I’ve never heard a single joke about our men and women who were slaughtered that day. We realize that comedy is subjective. But claiming “it was just a joke” doesn’t provide the would-be comedian a license to offend an entire nation. While the First Amendment to our Constitution gives shmucks like this the ability to say things like that without being thrown in jail, the First Amendment also gives shmucks like us the ability to call them the shmucks that they are, and to ask anyone who does business with these shmucks to stop. Now. UPDATE: We should have thought of this earlier. The domain for the site includes the term “Seahawks,” for which the Seahawks own the copyright. And so the Seahawks need to send these shmucks a cease-and-desist letter, pronto.
  23. it's safe to say that the only guys who mort thinks are playing well are the following: ryan denney lee evans jabari greer chris kelsay rian lindell terrence mcgee brian moorman roscoe parrish jason peters duke preston josh reed robert royal aaron schobel george wilson
  24. hopefully he can go......whittle at FB - a little strange to say the least http://buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?post_id=4134
  25. it does remain to be seen, i agree (and perhaps we'll never know for sure) - so in the meantime, stop saying to date it hasn't cost him anything, because that is a speculation that you are trying to pass off as fact
