  1. he was listed on the bills injury report in week 2........it's not like they were trying to hide anything
  2. i can't believe people are surprised about this.......it was pretty obvious from the start of this process that he was angling to get on the giants
  3. he was inactive for one game, dressed for four
  4. the bills knew all about it - he was listed on the injury report earlier this season http://www.nfl.com/injuries?team=BUF they obviously didn't think it was that big a deal........indy did, which is their choice - that's why they have physicals we might see more of mccargo, we might not, but he's obviously been playing with the injury so wouldn't be shocking to see him continue to do so
  5. paging jason brown - he'd be a hell of a pickup and would free up an early draft pick for another area of need
  6. i said that from the start of the process - this was about tony going to the giants and he is the one driving this process.......which is why it's silly that peterson is getting raked over the coals today.........his hands were basically tied and the giants knew it........tony telling stories in the press doesn't change that
  7. i wouldn't be surprised if it's broken........schobel is a gamer
  8. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/10/06/...for-a-receiver/
  9. DING DING DING TG was driving this process........they weren't going to trade him somewhere he didn't want to be (i.e. buffalo), and they weren't going to take a crap deal just to move him somewhere he did want to be (i.e. new york) this was about respect for a tenured player
  10. i don't think he really wanted out that bad
  11. haha - you serious? they were shopping him around as a FAVOR to a player who has shown them a lot of commitment the last decade.......they weren't going to send him somewhere he had no interest in playing..........slapping a star player in the face would hurt peterson a lot more then passing on a trade because the one team that gonzo wants to go to won't give them something decent for him
  12. i think this is more about gonzo and less about peterson.........certainly looks to me like he wanted to go to NYC and didn't have any interest in playing for the bills or anyone else
  13. if he's going to get paid as a UFA, he's got a long wait - 2 more years on the contract and the bills could easily use the F-Tag on him after that, if he's still performing.........the bills do hold the cards and always have........they stared him down before and they will again if they have to IMO, the damage has been done.........peters play this year does not reflect an increase is needed - in fact, a decrease would be more appropriate.........regardless of how he plays the rest of the year, i think that peters/parker's demands will be unrealistic and will not meet up with what the bills think he deserves.......i would hope they would have enough sense to get in to camp next year on time so that he can actually be ready to perform at a level he is capable of and needs to perform at to get paid, but i have my doubts they have that much common sense to take those steps.......the holdout was a big mistake and it will probably be repeated.......it's unfortunate, but i see no fault on the bills part......this is just a greedy, misguided player making poor decisions
  14. timeout with 2 seconds left, down by 20 points? classless as always
  15. he really, really throws well on the move........his release is very fast and his accuracy impressive
  16. by watching jason webster fall on his face? great strategy
  17. the fact that greer looked good in preseason doesn't have anything to do with the convo - the bottom line is he was the best option to have on the field and the coaching staff made a mistake by not recognizing that........there are other examples, and they all demonstrate that they can make mistakes on roster decisions (just like any coaching staff), and i stand by the position they are making one here by not getting ellis on the field........how can i be so certain? because he can't possibly be worse then bryan......you might think that is flawed logic, but i've seen enough of bryan to know that ellis can't be worse and it's also safe to say this has nothing to do with an injury - if it was he'd be listed on the injury report, unless the bills are turning into the pats lite and circumventing those rules
  18. wow, what a horrible time for an onside kick - they just gave back all the momentum
  19. coaches also saw greer for years before giving him his chance.......you can put jackson and youboty in that group as well coaches don't always make the correct decisions it would be different if bryan was performing at even an average level, but he has been one of the worst players on the field in my eyes.........i just don't buy that ellis could be worse, not for a second
  20. i haven't seen any of ellis on defense - that is the problem.....it's time to see what we got........i do know he can't be any worse then bryan
  21. IMO, the benefit of having ellis on defense will easily outweigh the benefit of having bryan on ST.......it is not like the ST's have been that great this year anyway
  22. the only reason they are even talking about this deal is as a favor to TG - all things being equal, they'd just keep him given the small return there going to be getting....if TG says "i don't want to go _____", he won't get dealt there.........they will show respect for TG because they owe it to him.........now, if they can't agree to a fair deal with the team(s) he does want to go to that is another story - he might just have to stay put, but that is on him and that is his choice.......to be honest, i doubt that would even happen given KC's rumored small demands but there is no doubt in my mind that TG is driving this process and that KC will do everything they can to give him the opportunity to play on a contender of his choosing while also getting a fair return for themselves.......at the end of the day if TG doesn't want to play for a team, he won't
  23. special teams be damned - bryan has got plenty of snaps on defense and looked horrible.....he has no instinct and constantly runs straight up field, taking himself out of the play........given his upside, we need to see what ellis can do and i'm sure at this point of the year he can adequately handle bryan's special team role and by the way the play that sticks out in my mind regarding bryan on special teams was a holding penalty that pinned the bills on their own 1 yard line at a crucial moment of the raider game
  24. we are even talking about this because tony g has requested a trade and the chiefs are trying to oblige him due to his loyal service the past decade..........i think he has plenty of input into where he wants to go.......as long as his preferred team is reasonable, then the chiefs will deal him there......if he doesn't want to go somewhere the chiefs just won't deal him there - simple as that........make no mistake, he his driving this process
  25. i believe i read that a portion of those future salary figures are guaranteed.......how much i don't know, but i would suggest it would certainly have an impact on compensation to the chiefs i'd also raise the point that gonzo may or may not want to play in buffalo.......he wouldn't be the first person who wasn't keen on the idea.......to be honest, i think he's really just angling to play with the giants
