First down runs to Gore are not yielding much.

Effective first down plays makes it easier on second and third.

This was a topic on local talk radio in Indy about bad tackling in the NFL. One of the guys opine that too many of the smaller guys go high and try to wrestle the runner down. Go low and wrap up the legs. It hurts but it is effective. I remember that pain from when I played in my youth.
