https://x.com/Cover1/status/1716176555326537766?s=20 Great throw by Josh but Shakir knows hes not getting the ball from the jump, lol, and it's 1st down. -
Shakir needs to be given some of Gabe’s snaps…prove me wrong

I’d love for Shakir to get some serious targets but he’s not even getting love in the slot right now. Hard to see a scenario where they give him more run over Gabe when they don’t give him targets in the slot. The personnel usage is a downright disaster so far. -
Like I don't even care. Bills are not playing well, until that changes it's hard to care if they back into the division lead for a bit. Still time left in the year, but if they're not clicking on O it won't matter in getting to where they want to get to which is a SB.

The sports teams I cheer for are here to cause me misery, I've accepted that! LOL

This offense used to spread the ball around. I’m not saying Davis is playing well, but what are the chances that only Diggs is playing well, when in years past we would have Sanders, Beasley, both were agin as well, Davis, Knox, and McKenzie all contributing . Like that’s the biggest issue, we have no secondary contributions and in years past we would certainly have more than just Diggs.
-
Harty touched the ball once and made something happen with two missed tackles. This offense doesn’t do enough of that, hit guys in stride and just let them make plays with ball. It’s a slow plodding offense at this point with little explosive plays and zero rac. Just frustrating.

And yet that D got a critical turnover to help the O out. I mean we legit could have been held under 20 points on O. It was a ***** show on both sides. And don’t forget SPecial Teams being atrocious to boot.
-
This is squarely on 17. D is going to be rough due to the obvious injuries. But the O can't get right and Josh has looked like his 2019 version.
-
Guys like Morris go unnoticed but the dude does so much dirty work when asked. Shame he got hurt, but he gutted it out and made a good play on the TD to get uncovered.
-
According to spotrac, if they cut him after 2024, they only have 7.8m in dead cap even though his cap hit for 2025 is 15.4m, the contract has an out.
-
McDaniel is a different cat. New school coach through and through.
-
Contrast this handshake with the one McDermott had with McDaniel, hahaha.

He does. I mean he was wide open on that Josh int in the 2nd quarter. I just feel like we don't use TE enough as it is. I feel like Shakir has ability and we don't target him either. It's just a weird offense. In 20/21 we had much better balance spreading the ball around, not so much this year, or last for that matter.
-
I remember looking at his contract after they drafted Kincaid, and I’m pretty sure they save money by cutting him after next season. Yeah, they’ll have dead cap, but they’ll save a good chunk of change by moving on and they’ll open up cap space by doing so. He should have caught the ball yesterday, but Allen also didn’t throw a great ball, said so himself after the game. Honestly, this offense has little TE utilization and they somehow thought it was a good idea to draft another one, lol.

I’m not just saying that because of this week, but I feel Harris needs more run, with Cook coming in to change the pace. There’s a reason he’s always been the second option, he lacks things that you need every down, and pass pro is huge on a team that rosters and starts Spencer Brown. I appreciate the work you put into the thread. Love reading it. Agree about Johnson, he’s been doing a great job the last two seasons.
-
I feel the same way. ***** happens but it just keeps piling on and it’s hard to shrug off. Honestly; it’s less about me than the players going down that bums me out. These guys work so hard and the end result is a messed up body. On the other hand at least you get guys will get a shot.

DaQuan Jones is a big part of our defensive success

He's a really good player. Might be getting up there in age but that motor keeps on going. -
Folks, there's an article about Bill Belichick and Nick Saban's relationship, really good read from 5-6 years ago maybe, think it was SI. Anyway, Saban unearthed Daboll and recommended Brian for the job up NE. Told Belichick, he's one of us, so he had the prodigy label from an early age. It also helped that he's coached a long time, and coached both sides of the ball, and a few positions. He's earned his stripes. I like Daboll, think he's a good coach, but early last season, before the Jets game where Josh banged up his elbow, Allen looked fine without Daboll. We've had a bunch of turnover on O staff, Tierney was another guy, a guy Daboll brought with him, that Josh liked. Adjust or die in this league, has to figure it out, football hasn't changed, just needs to stop trying to make the insane plays. Take the 5 yard hitch or the 4 yards shallow cross, live to fight another down. Wish we still had Daboll for the continuity.

Bills @ Bears Game Day Thread?!?!?!?

Great play by Benford on that read option. -
Had one really nice throw to Pierce. Other than that there wasn’t much. But that one throw was really good. Let’s see, he’s going to be up and down.
-
In the article he says he won't settle, but we all know how that goes when the lawyers get involved.

Beasley claims Dak is "best leader he ever played with by far"...

Relax folks, Cole also played with Romo. His opinion, not really a huge knock. We've all seen Allen with that dazed look at times behind the center, he's grown out of it but we still get flashes of it. -
If Shakir gets targets he's gone to ease everyone's concerns, dude is a stud, just needs run.
