Years ago we played “buzzword bingo” when we went to “high level” meetings. We would make our own 5x5 sheet like a bingo card but we would write in 24 words or phrases (the center was a free spot). You had to make a copy before the meeting and play on the copy so you couldn’t cheat. When you got five in a row you would cough loudly and mark the time on the sheet. Everyone put in a couple of bucks. A few times someone said BINGO! It was hard to not laugh.

My opinion on why good OT’s are hard to find…. College today is all spread offense, ball is out quick, pass a lot more than run. The college game is very different from the pro game. Linemen get drafted on potential and RAS scores, they’re not developed like they used to be.

Bass was miked up for the preseason game. When he was talking to Kincaid he mentioned that he was the kicker when he was in High School and he hit a 40 yarder. Timing might be an issue but in an emergency…?

Saw Robert Plant and Alison Krauss at Tanglewood last night. Outstanding show, full crowd, couple of sprinkles but weather was better than expected. They performed more Zep songs than I thought they would and they were great. Probably half of their list was from their first album with 5-6 Zeppelin songs tossed in the second half.

I got one of the Star Trek Enterprise ornaments when they came out (first in that series). Wasn’t interested in any that followed. They sell for $100+ now. Might be a “ collectible” but I put it on the tree every year. Not sure if I want the Josh or not…

I owned a bunch of junk as a kid but my first car was a beat up 1966 Triumph TR4a. God I loved that car.

I read somewhere that the Bills and/or the league couldn’t put him on the exempt list as he had never been a rostered player (or something like that).

Not WNY but I just ate at Davidson Brothers Brewpub in Glens Falls (north of Albany) and Thursday from 3:00 - 7:00 they have wings for $7.99 a dozen with $5.99 pints. Get there early for a table.

According to Sports Illustrated, since Dion took over, 43 scholarship players have entered the transfer portal. He might be successful but it may take some time to get players there that buy into what he wants.

I honestly can’t figure out why every store doesn’t do the quarter thing like Aldi. On the rare occasion that I use a cart, I put it back in the corral.

Honestly, if they could play any kind of defense I’d try to get UPL to the Amerks. He’s young (as far as goalies go), he has shown flashes of ability. He was rookie of the month earlier this season. Might just need some more time?

I’m a lefty for everything except shooting a gun. My dad got me a left handed bow which was cool. When we were kids the stocks and bolt actions on our rifles were “normal” so I shot righty. Expert marksman in the military so I guess I did okay.

Once in a while we go to SPAC and sit outside the gates in the state park. You can’t see the stage but the sound is good and you bring whatever stuff you want in a cooler (like Tanglewood) You’re also by the tour busses and once in a while the artists stop out and say hi. $100+ for lawn seats is stupid.

As Edwards and Bates both have some experience at center, is there a chance that Morse has had enough concussions and walks away? He’s been dinged up a few times over the last couple of seasons. I realize that Edwards had a concussion last season but don’t think he’s had multiple like Morse. Now we’ve got two bigger, younger players to possibly step up.

Not vegan or vegetarian, just getting older. I’ve found that as I age my diet changes. I eat more vegetables, less meat, alcohol and baked treats in moderation. Almost no processed stuff (but I buy Sahlen’s every time I’m in Buffalo), I make most everything from scratch. STAY ACTIVE, figure out what makes you feel better and stick with it…

I don’t drive anything fancy but I try to take care of it. I’ve used “Nu Finish” soft paste in the orange can for years. Wax it before winter and when things warm up in the spring. Easy on/off and it seems to protect the finish well. My car is a 2015 and looks like new.

Starting this year, anything over $600 (total) paid through PayPal or Venmo will be reported to the IRS as income. Folks use Craigslist and Marketplace for untrackable cash sales.
Up till now it’s been $20,000 or 200 transactions. Just dropped it to $600 this year. Apparently they’re not collecting enough in taxes…

Not a cult. Started playing about six months ago with some folks who’ve been in it for a while. We don’t take it too seriously, it’s a social thing and you get a little exercise. Can you spend $200+ on a paddle? Yes, but you don’t have to. You want sticker shock? Take up road biking or downhill skiing. $$$$!
