There is a little more to it. He is a really good blocker, and is pretty good at catching balls out of the back field. We have 2 RB's on this team. SO the position is split. If Freddy was our primary back then i am sure you would see games over 100 yards. Maybe look at his alll purpose yards seeing running backs do more than just run the ball. FredEx isnt going anyplace and rightfully so. He will retire a BIll in 2 to 3 years. If it aint broke u dont fix it. Our running game is really really good, why would u want to change that. Having a Rookie OC and QB i am sure has weight in his rushing yards. This team has had a lot of 3 and outs and most teams stack the box to challenge EJ to throw!

I would think it would force them into bringing in a VET not drafting a QB. We don't want a carousel of QB's playing for an Injured QB with no experience again. Well there is always Kevin ooops I slipped Kolb!

I agrre! Also he has been injured and missed TC time as well as some of the regular season. So he is coming along, just not as fast as people would want. A lot of people on here complain about Hacket and how terrible he is, but the same people also think EJ should b cut with Hackett ( not my opinion) If our OC is so terrible than EJ is looking more and more like a good QB. A rookie with a "terrible" OC and he still is playing pretty good for a ROOK!

I agree he needed just a little more, but after watching the replay Goodwin could have caught that. It went right threw his hands! He will be a stud in a couple years.......I hope!

MEH, Freeman is a head case and apparently has something other than football going on in his life. He isn't the same player he was 2 years ago. Damaged goods. Well he probably wouldn't want to come here seeing in 2 weeks EJ will probably be back. He gets the starting job in MINNE!

I would say both are starters, they just go with who is having a better game. Fred is one of my all time favorite bills.
