  1. I picked 10 guys who were available around the Bills pick in some random mock draft. I am sure you'all may have ideas for a guy not listed. If so, tick "other" and write the name in down here. If 3 people write in the same name, I will add the player. Vote away...
  2. Good thread. I think RBs are easier to find and we have a replacement, so why wouldn't you trade a RB on the wrong side of 30 for an elite pass rusher?? Freddy is a good story, but he's an asset. If that asset can be used in a way to make this team better as a whole, DO IT!!!
  3. I'd really like your opinion rather than a prognostication. I'll keep track of it over the years and see how the general feeling of this board compares to the actul picks. It would have been interesting to recall one from '08 when we passed on a certain DT for a Safety.
  4. I am entitled to be annoyed with how the Bills have done business over the last 10 years. That being said, I don't think anyone has said they're not heading in the right direction.
  5. Just to be clear, I really would like your pick. I want to compare the tbd picks vs actual and see how they look.
  6. Assuming Reiff will be gone
  7. It's nice to dream...and it's the answer to another thread...'What would make it cool to play in Bflo again'? If the Bills were to sign somehigh profile FAs, they might develop some momentum with other FAs. Not Buddy's way though.
  8. I have been following this board for a long time and often thought there's a lot of football knowledge around here. So I'm going to put it out there for posterity....who is the consensus #1 for this Board. I will close this tomorrow and move on to the 2nd round and finish up on Saturday with the 3rd round. We'll call it the early TBD picks. Then we'll do it all over again the week before the draft. I want to keep track year after year to see if we know as much as we think we know. Have at it. Let's make it quick and save lengthy discussion for other threads.
  9. I know I put this in another thread, but why can't Hightower play SAM? God knows we need one.
  10. The problem is: The Bills do not start 0-0. They start 0-4. They average more than 4 losses just in their own division in the last 10 years. If you sat through Billy Joe Hobert and Rob Johnson, you'd understand. I admire your optimism, but the Bills have killed mine. Prove it and I'm right there with you. And tht whole unconditional thing is what got a whole bunch of people wealthy beyond belief. I'm chosing my own wealth.
  11. I must be thick, because I haven't a clue what you are talking about. My question was "can Hightower play SAM linebacker"? All opinions welcomed.
  12. He's going to Miami. It's a great fit. In a way it sucks bc we have to play him twice, but, the other teams in our division have to play him twice as well.
  13. The hole at TE us no longer gaping. Now the Bills are thin at TE.
  14. Because he would be crazy to consider the Bills at this point in his career.
  15. Brandon Lloyd is a great fit anywhere. He gets open and catches the ball. Oh....by the way, the Bills have a GAPING HOLE at tight end that nobody is talking about. Chandler is a free agent and they have NOTHING in the pipeline.
  16. Good thread. Bunch of solid reading. I think Buddy would be negligent if he didn't go down to Alabama's pro day. They have a better defense than the Bills. Whether the draft brings him trade down possibility or one of the Bama players slides lower than Buddy's projection, I think he's wise to go down there. Buddy needs to be around these guys and talk to them, if nothing else, to see what's important to them. Other thoughts: Some mocks have Brockers out of the 1st as Poe and Cox are moving up; I'd be surprised if Mallett ever suits up as the Patriots starter; and with injury questions in Wood and Kyle Williams, I think the Bills need more depth in the middle on both sides.
  17. I'm trying to come up with some valuable insight, but I must admit I'm baffled. I've never seen 3 players on one defensive squad be the possible pick for anyone. The Bills could legitimately take Upshaw, Hightower or (gasp) Kirkpatrick. And....since Bama has so much talent, he could be there looking at someone else. Alabama could almost run their own combine. I'm still on Perry, Martin or Cox.
  18. Michael Irvin said that the #1 thing that separates great WRs from the rest is ability to adjust to the ball. Sometimes you're fast. Sometimes you're slow. I thought that was well put. I have to watch this guys highlights.
  19. There's just no way someone could show such blind optimism if he saw Billy Joe Hobart as his starter. It's not hating if you want to see a full season of promise, not just 5 games. I like Fitz, but lay off the Koolaid would ya.
