  1. I looked at it again. I thought it was alot closer. But he really missed it bad. Still a bummer. The song. Dunno
  2. I agree. I think they need to go max protect and try to hit some deep balls. I'd be surprised if CJ has a big game against that front 7, but they might be able to go over the top and get a cheapie.
  3. One year AFTER the best QB class since 2004...OF COURSE the time is now to find a new QB. In reading up on the draft sites, it doesn't sound like there's cause to get excited about anyone, especially in the 1st round. I hope Buddy doesn't go crazy and trade up for a guy like Matt Barkley. I know I've been awfully negative lately, but it sure seems like a mismanagement of the draft. It seems like I'm always wishing we did the OTHER thing. When are the Bills gonna hit on a pick?? Washington is not going to trade Kirk Cousins. As good as RG3 has been, he's been getting hit a lot. They need a good backup because, if RG3 doesn't change, their starter will be missing games like Vick every year.
  4. So Gailey is solely responsible? I don't buy it. I'm not venting at all. Objectively, and responding to the thread's title, I do not think the Bills are better overall than they were 3 years ago. And I'd love to see otherwise. I'm just can't drink the Koolaid. Excellent point.
  5. Memory is fading. Yeah, I guess we took Marshawn with the 11th pick that year. McKelvin was taken 11th, 1 pick after Mayo. I wonder who we are going to take with the 11th pick this year? Next year?
  6. I don't think you gave us Aggressive and Realistic. You gave us Aggressive and Optimistic. Realistic 1. Fitz is your QB - Matt Barkley is your #1 pick and QB of the future 2. Best player available the rest of the draft 3. A lower rated FA LB 4. 7-9 rcord next year, but with "vastly improved talent"
  7. I'm sure that's what the Colts fans were saying last year when they were lining up Andrew Luck.
  8. Well done. The difference of 1 pick could be the difference between McKelvin and Patrick Willis....or Roethlisberger and Lee Evans (2 picks apart). So each loss is vitally important. The neat thing is the strength of schedule tiebreaker should favor the Bills in the first round.
  9. If the Bills were better, the Toronto series would be better. Put the 1990 Bills up there for a few games. I would fly into Toronto (a great city) to see my favorite team. A good team covers all warts.
  10. Don't confuse MORE talent with DIFFERENT talent.
  11. I am amazed at the confidence that the Bills are a better, 5 win team. I would have thought the "benefit of doubt" would have been used up 5 years ago. This is why this team thrives in Bflo. Nobody really cares if they WIN.
  12. Solid points. But weren't Wood, Levitre, Byrd, Kyle Wms and Fred already here?
  13. The lines have gotten better and that's it. Lynch is better than Spiller. Who cares at QB (both suck). WR/TE is still a mess. LBs are horrible. DBs are about the same. But they did lose Moorman....
  14. My compliments to the OP. Very original and entertaining post. I like Stuck in the Middle with You, by Stealer's Wheel.
  15. Who knows?? We don't know TJ and for god's sake we don't want Fitz telling the kid how to throw a proper deep ball.
  16. Watching the Packers game and it was noted that approx 40/45 players on their roster were drafted by them. I think it's prob the same in most good organizations. Unless a franchise QB unexpectedly comes available, keep building from within.
  17. You have to give him one thing...he's sporting a killer fu manchu right now.
  18. Let's see.....Buffalo....Dallas.....Ralph....Jerruh. If he leaves NO, that decision won't take long.
  19. I agree with this. In Edwards' first 10 games, he was a different QB. He chucked it downfield. Hung in the pocket a bit and just showed way more poise than Losman. I thought we had something in Edwards. And his turning point was pretty much on the crown of Adrian Wilson's helmet. After that game, it was like he said "screw this"..... Good article though. Thanks for posting.
  20. +1. Other than Fred, thats alotta dead money.
  21. I think the Bills' chances of losing out are greater than the chances of winning out.
  22. His body language screams defeated man. But if the Bills were 8-5, the same stuff he would be saying would make a lot of sense.
  23. CLEAN HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doug Whaley...it's your turn. Pick your coaches. The main reason the Bills D has gotten better is their opponents have gotten worse. The Bills defense has been ok, but can't shut anyone down WHEN THEY NEED IT. As one player said "We need a fresh of breath air".
