  1. For many of these guys, it is their ONLY national spotlight game and it's usually against good competition. If I'm one of these QBs agents, I'm telling him it's vitally important that he make a statement and create some hype about himself. I don't think you can ignore it.
  2. Kid looks special to me. Size be damned! I thought his intercepted throw was very impressive. WR should had it. Jones. Meh. Nothing impressive so far. Looks where he's throwing the hole time it seems. I like the OU fullback, Millard, although he dropped a TD pass. That was a horrible pass!!! Speaking of horrible passes, anyone see Colin Klein throw? Eeek!
  3. I dunno why, but I have no opinion of Ken Whisenhunt. He went to the Superbowl. Then he floundered with historically bad QBs. Who could do better with the likes of Skelton and Lindley? Let's face it, the next winning season will shock us all.
  4. 13th??!! Interesting. Still, something was missing from the O. I mean from a coordination standpoint. The Fitz thing...I just can't talk about anymore.
  5. That's what I'm waiting for. Even though there's no Luck, there must be a Cousins. Haven't looked at it yet.
  6. Again. To me. It's reality. I've been through too many of these "shuffling of the deck chairs" to be optimistic. I sincerely hope I am proven wrong.
  7. Hey folks. I can't talk about Chip Kelly or Wis all day....or god forbid add to the RB thread. Looking for something new. If you have no thoughts or think it's impossible. If you think it's a stupid thread, don't respond and let it die. Gailey is qualified as an OC and Lovie Smith is very well known to hire crappy OCs. So I got to thinking..... Go on to whatever you were doing......
  8. What if they hired Lovie or some other defensive coach who had a relationship with Chan and wanted to bring him back as the OC. A. Would he do it?? and B. What would the fan reaction be? I was just trying to think of the old OCs that are going to be out there and he's one of them. So are Malarkey and Turner. Stupid thought?
  9. Totally agree. So when the question is asked whether the "Brandon announcement" made Buffalo a more attractive landing spot, my reaction based on the lack of a proven track record of the front office is - No. It just means there's one less clown in the car. To me anyways.
  10. If you were not interested because of Ralph, and Ralph handed the torch to Russ, wouldn't you necessarily need to have confidence in Russ (and Buddy, and Whaley) for it to suddenly change your mind? The torch was not being passed to Bobby Beathard or Bill Walsh.
  11. I'll answer for fun. If that's the reason he wants to interview for Buffalo job, I don't want him. Too stupid.
  12. Can well all agree that we never want to hear Brady shout that again? Or any opposing QB?
  13. Not for nothing, but both Wiz and Lovie have been to the Superbowl as coaches.
  14. Bills- Horton Browns - Kelly Eagles - Zimmer Cardinals - Wild Card - Could be anyone - Horton or Lovie. Chiefs - Reid Chargers - Arians Bears - Tom Clements
  15. Since good QBs make good coaches, show me that and I'll be happy with our new coach.
  16. Well, if the system tends to pump the QB's stats and those stats make his case to be an NFL QB, and QB after QB from the same system fail in the NFL, then I think it's relevant. But it's not determinative. Sometimes the real deal plays in a QB friendly system. Don't know enough about Barkley at this point.
  17. I hope you are right, but it runs contrary to the word of the great and powerful RB. I guess we'll see.
  18. And you have NO fear that Buddy will be running the draft in April?
  19. Oh my god yes. Offense: The line is good, if not great. 2 excellent TEs. Welker, Lloyd and a host of other contributors. Defense is stacked with high picks. Worse than the offense due to Brady, but Wilfork is a Stud, Jones will be and the young LB corps talent is undeniable. Are you messin with me??
  20. I guess we're just going to disagree on Nix. Each error he has made has been supported by sound logic. It's called a justification. When he screws up this draft, and he will if he's in charge, there's plenty of time for us to agree later. I'm just surprised at the confidence some of you have in Buddy....or Whaley. Time will tell, I guess. But I'd put hope on your side and money on mine.
  21. Just because the hype is not there this year doesn't mean the franchise QB isn't. I guarantee you 3 or 4 starters come out of this draft. I don't know the prospects that well yet, but since the Bills need QBs and they are SO important, take 2. Cut Fitz and the remaining non-answers on the roster. Or keep him and crazy glue a clipboard to his hands. Maybe he would have value for game planning, etc.
  22. I am all in with Manti Te'o. i would be beyond shocked if he's a bust. ALL IN.
