  1. What have they shown? A deep ball. A 25 yard out. Throws our guy just can't make. Look, I'm not saying either of these jamokes are franchise type guys. It's still early. But when you have a guy like Fitz (and that's all) going into the draft, wouldn't you consider adding a prospect a high priority? Particularly when you can get GOOD prospects in the 3rd round. I think Buddy would admit this is his biggest failing as a GM.
  2. But you know what Fitz is. You knew where his ceiling is and it's not high enough. I disagree BTW. I'm not a billiever in Fitz. Foles and Cousins each have much better arms than Fitz.
  3. I guess you never saw Tom Landry or Chuck Knoll patrol the sidelines. The rah-rah stuff is fun to see, but probably overhyped. Belichick has Tom Brady on the field who will not accept failure. That's what I want. Not someone who gives us the canned speech after the loss. But someone who rips people right there on the spot. I'd rather it be a good player than a coach.
  4. Yeah, What would the Bills do if they missed out on TJ Graham? Leaving Wilson out of it, would you feel better about your team if the had Nick Foles or Kirk Cousins on the roster? I would.
  5. I will never understand how a successful HC at a major university leaves for the NFL. He was set for life at Oregon, and worshipped. He'll be hated in Philly in what, 8 moths? Maybe 9.
  6. I'm more interested just to see how the "changes" affect this draft rather than who we actually pick. If Buddy sends the card up for the DB with 9 minutes left on the clock, it will be very telling.
  7. He's probably just picking a side in an attempt to make interesting radio. I'm surprised on Tressman. He's 20 years past being the hot new kid. I doubt there will be huge support on the Tressman hire here in Chicago, but who knows....
  8. Can we NOT re-live the Whitner thing.....
  9. I'd like to see a HC tell Mike Singletary to calm down. I believe that kind of intensity cannot be inspired. Other players may follow it. Mimmick it. But you need at least 1 guy who is ON all day. Ray Lewis. Rodney Harrison. Adrian Wilson. Heck, even Tom Brady. We need a field General. Great post OP.
  10. Big contract. That's all I know about the guy. And he played in the SE.......uh-oh.....
  11. I meant surprised by a draft pick (think Andre Reed). Surprised by a free agent (Pat Williams). Or even surprised by a good trade (Biscuit). Yes, surprised by wins, but I think the Bills are a few years out.
  12. You choose to focus on the whipped cream. I merely point out that it's on a festering pile of dog crap. And I don't like it a bit.
  13. Yeah. Forget these "draft gurus" who study every game the QBs ever played and KNOW that this kid can't throw the deep out, that kid's footwork is sloppy or another kid locks on to his primary WR forever. What do they know. Taking Nassib at 8 only guarantees them a QB, not thee QB. Passing on better players because your desperate at the position is the surest way to get a higher draft pick next year. Let's call it the Brandon Weeden shuffle.
  14. You point out more the the "sameness" of this FO. Overdorf and Littman. Let's not forget their presence and influence.
  15. Need company? I'll bring the pork rinds.
  16. Even though I HATE the "Just Sayin" thing, you're probably right. But the thing is...I AM enlightened...
  17. And the other half is coaching.......DOH!!!!!! I thought I was negative before. It's starting to snowball even more. Marrone....ok...maybe.... justify. Hackett....really??...well....maybe...justify. Pettine?I'm okay on that one, but can he swim without Rex?...Justify...Dreisbach? Couldn't hold his job at Rice. I got nothing for you. Crossman? Bad, bad ST last year. I got nothing for you. I'm calling it now. 4-12. Draft #4 overall.
  18. That can't be right. Both a punt return AND a kickoff return in successive weeks???? Good gawd...
  19. I completely agree with your statement. The Kool Aid to me is painting the Bills FO as now "different" and acting like the Bills have scored big time with their OC and DC and now Buffalo is something more than an afterthought. I do like that it's different. But only because these guys don't have a negative track record (yet) and might surprise. But with Magoo picking our second rate QB prospects and more cornerbacks, we're likely in for a long year.
  20. I guess my final point is: Our coordinators' receiving the Bills job is the biggest job they've ever had. Of course they took the gig. I'll stop fighting the Kool Aid wave.
  21. I read that Crossman was released before the Bills came knocking. And Pettine was offered a contract to work under a guy who had a heavy hand in the defense. He wanted to be THEE guy on defense and that was never going to happen under Rex. Pettine has to be better than Wannstedt, but we really don't know. Same with Crossman and Hackett. I'm just saying there are some major questions with our coordinators. That's all.
  22. I can't fight the Kool Aid wave again. Instead I'll just agree. I wish the Bills actually made FO changes instead of throwing a marketing smoke bomb and announcing "We're different (don't let the same faces fool you)".
