  1. Same could be said for Lynch, Whitner, Winfield, Clements, Fletcher, Pat Williams and every good football player they ran out of town.
  2. Having the Bills on the schedule has been the guaranteed win for good teams. If you did not play the Bills, you're down 1 game against those who did. And those teams also got to play Miami. So I think the result is no coincidence. It's really quite logical.
  3. I am going home to a supermodel who makes more money than me.
  4. Stay put. Manuever up. Trade down. I have little confidence they'll land on the right guy.
  5. I find it almost funny that folks can pass judgment on Ray Lewis based on Wikipedia, then talk about his morals. Give me a break! Since I do not know the facts of the case and have no idea what the evidence proved, I have no comment on his legal past. On the field, a rare General. The antics would be better received if he played here. When he's going through one of his crying "god speeches", I'm watching the NHL channel.
  6. The thought occurred to me that maybe it's as good of a year to find a "franchise coach" as it is to find a franchise QB. When the NFL changes coaches about 7 per year, sooner or later, the good candidates are all used up. Have the Bills assembled a good staff? Who knows. I suspect that much will depend on how well the boy wonder does with the offense. I agree that some effort has been made to spin this hire, but what did you expect from Russ Brandon?
  7. No reason to write him off, but plenty of reason to question it. That's all I'm doing.
  8. Pointing out the fact that Crossman has presided over horrible special teams 5 out of the last 8 years is not blind criticism. It only comes off as such when you are trying to JUSTIFY the hiring. Comparing Crossman to April. Convenient. And also a JUSTIFICATION. Carry on.
  9. A. I can't believe there are any "glass half full" Bills fans remaining, and B. I can't believe that not even the hiring of Danny Crossman would give said fans a reason to question OBD about anything. I just find it interesting that when someone questions a OBD decision, they are viewed as just being negative. That might be true if one were questioning someone in Foxboro. But the Bills have occupied the basement for over 10 YEARS!!! Amazing.
  10. Nothing you said is inconsistent with Sullivan's article. Please point out what is factually incorrect (other than Hackett working for Bills) or that which is negative. Sullivan merely reflects the record of the selected coaches. If their record comes accross as negative, maybe they weren't good hires.
  11. These writers are not overly negative or overly critical of the Bills. This team has been in the basement of it's division for 10 years. The writers are making observations. Sullivan states many FACTS to support his article. He does not exaggerate or spin the article unnecessarily. He does say that it could work out. I don't know how anyone could disagree with his article.
  12. I felt OK about most of the hires, but this ST coach gets the Bills job after an very bad year of ST in Detroit. Of course the HC has the right to hire him, but I wish the guy had a better resume. And I am absolutely predisposed with negative thoughts. I don't know how a Bills fan could be anything but predisposed.
  13. So do you think RB or Nix were questioning the pick of Danny Crossman? That pick really concerns me. Almost makes me look at everything else again. My guess is, there will be no improvement in 2013.
  14. I'll skip over proving why Brandon is bad, etc. I just have little confidence in his leadership and think the Bills will struggle under it. It has in the past and I see nothing new to change my opinion. I'm rooting for the guy. I hope he builds a dynasty. But how you struggle for 16 years, then, all the sudden become good is a new concept for me. I'll have to see this one.
  15. You will never convince me that an NFL franchise can be successfully run by one who knows little of football. I don't hate the guy. I also don't think there's any coincidence between his influence on this team and 12 years of futility. And before you say "He doesn't have to know football"....he does in order to hire the right people to run the football operations. He'll be gone as soon as RW passes away and the team is sold.
  16. Nah, you could see in his 1st pre-season that he had a wiggle and burst like nobody we've had in a while. And I think he's progressed well. But I thought Lynch was OK and we had GAPING holes elsewhere.
  17. 1. Manti Te'o 2. Ryan Nassib Completely uninformed at this point. More matching players with positional needs.
  18. He seems like a lowlife scumbag, the likes of this town has not seen. I would bet my son there's no way the Bills sign that guy.
