  1. If this is sarcasm, it's not funny. If it's serious, it's the worst mock draft I've seen this year. I would think you A. Get a QB, and B. Build the rest from front to back and inside out.
  2. I'd almost guarantee. Buddy thinks he's being a straight shooter, but all he's doing is showing his hand to the other GMs. Wouldn't be awesome if we gave away a #2, or better, next year's #1 to move up? I truly expect it.
  3. Nothing if it's a good pick. All the talk of Buddy trading up or back in the 1st round is probably wasted. The guy just doesn't look to trade. But he'll probably make me a liar and trade this year's 1,2 and next year's 1 for Geno Smith.
  4. Buddy is going to pick Geno Smith with 9 seconds gone on the clock and smile and say "we couldn't believe he was still there"...."he was the number one guy on our board". There will be no trading.
  5. You know they're picking Geno Smith, right? Fitz should be on the street and TJack will be making less than Thigpen did to be the backup. That's the feel I get anyways.
  6. No. They wouldn't be part of that statistic as they would never be arrested and, if so, never charged.
  7. It is if he's charged with felony possession of loaded gun. The 24% were charged with something else....3rd degree misD possession. You need to get the DA in a good mood in a case with NO publicity. Ooops. Who knows how this is going to work out. All I can tell you is IF Bowers is charged and convicted of the Felony version, THEN he is going to jail. Period. Finito.
  8. The judge looks at the law, which set the minimum jail time for this offense, and sentences Bowers to the minimum....just like Plax. Now, Bowers may get out earlier.... There is no discretion in the law as far as the minimum. You're either pregnant or your not.
  9. I see a Bart Scott stint in Buffalo like an Isaiah Robertson stint in Buffalo. Now, maybe Cal Pace to set the edge. And Maybe Eric Smith for Safety depth. But none of these jamokes would be the cornerstone of a dominant defense.
  10. Blame the writer, not the reader. The crime is one of POSSESSION of a loaded firearm, not of intent to use or actual use, stupidity, speeding, or scores on the Wonderlic. It's a harsh law. And I have no idea what successful defense can be used. My read: Bowers is going upstate.
  11. I dunno how you can ship Plax upstate and not Bowers. It's the exact same offense to the same law. I'm not a gun guy, but it's among the worst NY laws....and New York State is loaded with them. There's a buncha headscratchers out in Suffolk County where the towns like to get creative.
  12. RD 1 - Geno Smith (trade up for marketing purposes) RD 3 - Nico Johnson - I like that pick. RD 4 - Vance McDonald -TE- Rice I strongly feel Buddy will trade up to get Smith. Of course, it's the wrong year to trade up, but Buddy basically told us this it what he's going to do. I just hope he doesn't give up next year's #1
  13. It's impossible to franchise a Guard. Byrd is the only guy the Bills franchise. The last guy I remember the Bills franchising was Nate Clements. Since Marrone is an O-lineman at heart, my guess is he'd pitch hard to sign Levitre. I'd be shocked if they let Levitre walk, but Byrd is the only guy who gets franchised.
  14. Boy....I looked at his highlights of the Florida game and it sure looks like he can't read. He threw a lot of balls to guys on the wrong team. I can deal with his behavior if he's a standout on the field. But Bray looked bad to me.
  15. I forget who the NFL analyst was, but on sirius they were saying that Buffalo was a poor fit for Barkley bc of weaker arm strength.
  16. I wonder whether the QB issue will affect ticket sales.
  17. If it's apple season, pick apples. If the QB is not there I hope they take a better LB/DL/OL prospect and not try to morph a lesser QB prospect into the next Philip Rivers, Jim Kelly or Andrew Luck.
  18. Nick Mikemayer kicked the winning field goal in 1980 against the Dolphins, didn't he? That alone puts him in the Bills HOF. Certainly better than Tom Dempsey, who coulda won it the year previous (how much did he miss it by?).
  19. Pat Kirwan said on Sirius that Te'o got blown up similarly in the Stanford game. FWIW, his enthusiasm for Te'o cooled greatly after seeing those two game and said he'd prolly go in another direction.
