  1. I don't care if they draft him, but just for accuracy sake...Roscoe Parrish had 2,500 career all purpose yards in college. Austin had over 7,000. Parrish had 16 total TDs in college. Austin had 40. I know...PASS. Buncha genius' I tell ya. Maybe you should actually look at his tape or read a little. Or not.
  2. The kid has never been hurt....and he wasn't playing Division III. I see your point. I just disagree with it.
  3. Bart Scott can only stunt the growth of a guy who may be here when the Bills get good. And he's yesterday's kind of LB with zero coverage skill and see pass rush ability. And he's supposed to be a bit of a douche. Please pass.
  4. My points are twofold: 1. This guy is a playmaker with insane speed. He's way more Percy Harvin than TJ Graham, and 2. It's going to suck watching Sheppard or Searcy trying to cover him when he takes over for Welker I know we have bigger needs. But I wish we didn't. This guy is special.
  5. Tavon Austin, who helped Geno Smith's short throws turn into long TDs, looks to be a late 1st rounder and some mocks have him going to New England. He had over 500 total yards against Oklahoma and over 300 rushing. Dunno if the Bills would bite, but I hope he doesn't pair up with Brady. Can it get any uglier? Forget Patterson. I don't care how tall he is. Look at this guy. 40 career TDs and over 7000 all purpose yards. Just watch the last 2 minutes for him as a WR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AAWC5t0trY
  6. Ouch. Truth hurts. Except you ARE talking about the Jets.
  7. He is mediocre. But in Buffalo, mediocre is good. If nothing else, I like the fact that Buffalo is shedding players whom they feel are not good enough, because in years past....anyone was good enough. I'll tell you what, this Tavon Austin kid has my attention. Combination of Percy Harvin and Wes Welker? In a West Coast Offense? Give me that all day.
  8. Again, Patterson is in on 5-7 plays a game. And he can't throw it to himself, so it might be less. And I think everyone is going to be disappointed in Pettine 1.0. The problems last year were not all scheme related. They were talent related. There's no David Harris in the middle and other qualified linebackers on the outside. The Jets D-line blows the Bills line away in playing the run. And I might mention that Pettine wasn't the only defensive mind in NY, so his performance in Buffalo is not guaranteed....even with solid personnel. The Bills STILL need defensive talent. It pains me to acknowledge that.
  9. He would. Didn't AP come back for the 1st game after being injured late in the previous year? Why not Chandler?
  10. The folks on Sirius NFL Radio were saying that Buffalo is a West Coast Offense now and the TE needs are different for that. Is that true? Is Buffalo a West Coast Offense. I know that was Paul Hackett's gig, but I didn't notice anyone at OBD saying that was the offensive scheme. Is that what he ran at Syracuse?
  11. They would never see the ball and when they did get it, there's nobody to throw the ball to your shiny new toy. That's a big investment for a guy who would be in on 5 plays a game.
  12. He's no different than TJ Graham. Why would they?
  13. My Dad was at Republic Steel on the phone with me and I gave him play by play for the final 5 minutes. Winning that game was the best fan moment I've ever had.
  14. C'mon, everyone looks in the toilet to admire their work.... And regarding Russ Brandon at the combine? I don't like the guy, but SO WHAT....
  15. I hope the Bills don't get distracted by such shiny new toys. They don't have a QB and they can't stop the run. Unless ALL of that is addressed in FA, which it will not be, WR will have to wait. Remember we have the great TJ Graham from last years' draft and I think Nelson is coming back.
  16. BTW - Great post Estro. Some very good info there.
  17. I don't want to turn this into a bash Buddy thread, but if believe in these guys, why not extend them last summer when you have a little leverage? So Byrd is here under the Franchise Tag and Levitre walks? If this is the case, the Bills are back in the O-Line business and staring a few guards in the face up high in the draft. It's like playing Whack-a-Mole.
  18. Invest a disproportionate amount of resources to the defensive backfield? The Bills?? Nah....
  19. I think Rhodes is nasty. If he's fast enough, he could be great.
  20. If you don't have a QB and can't stop the run, only the worst GMs would draft a CB. That's softball fellas. And FWIW, I think the kid Rhodes from Florida State looks better than Milliner.
