  1. Better yet, since we have many holes and the 49ers have few, why not try to get 4 or 5 picks out of them. They don't have the $$ to pay 15 rookies. How about their 1, their 2, a 3rd, 5th and a 7th?
  2. I'd rather have this years 1 and 2, and next years 1.
  3. I think you should re-post this closer to the draft. The person with the most correct 1st round picks should be the Exalted Grand Puhbah for a year. Literally...change screen name and everything.
  4. I hear you. But, for the life of me, I could never understand why anyone would wear any football jersey to watch a game. I think it's weird to wear another dude's name. What does it mean to wear the dude's jersey? In High School, it meant the girl was dating someone on the football team. It just never appealed to me, particularly when the jerseys are $100. I know I'm in the vast minority.
  5. Well, if the last group provided leadership, it wasn't working. I don't think the Bills are going to get leadership from a guy up in the press box. They need better players. Period. Name 1 guy on that defense who could take another player to task for not doing his job... They just need better players.
  6. I don't care what number any of them wear.
  7. It was this time of year I would order my draft guide. I miss it because Joel Buschsbaum routinely nailed it. If he said the OTs were going to go in a particular order, that's the way it would go. If he said Bruschi projects as an inside LB, that's where he would go. It wasn't because he was a scout. I don't think he ever made it out of his Brooklyn apartment. But he spoke to everybody. I really do miss his PFW Draft Guide. A lot of people have copied his format, but no one has matched his content.
  8. Chris Kelsay is the poster child for our last 12 years. Nice guy. Effective at times. Never won consistently.
  9. It's not the end all be all. But there you had a QB starved team that passed on anything available for a middling veteran. I don't give Andy Reid final say, but he knows more than we do. Like the Buddha line.
  10. Nobody really wants Geno Smith that bad. I think AZ will take Barkley and the Bills will have Geno if they want him. I think they will pass due to the BPA disparity bt available OT/G/CB and Geno Smith. 2nd round is perfect for Buddy.
  11. I'd be happy to get guys like Byrd and Levitre that are desirable FAs after their 1st contract. Buddy...meh. Not sure he knows what he is building. You can't just keep getting "good players" and changing schemes. This team has no identity and I put that on him. Now...if Buddy drafts a LT in the 1st and a complete TE in this draft, I would say it's a commitment to an identity. It's what SF did. They threw a bunch of resources at the O-line until it was dominant. I'm not saying it's right for the Bills, but it would indicate a vision.....but I do not expect it.
  12. As much as it makes me want to vomit, I guess I agree. But only because I think Rhodes is flat out nasty in press/man.
  13. I started to write that I don't know what to think, then I asked myself the following question: Would I be more surprised at Geno Smith's success in the NFL or his failure? The answer to that question tells me to invest a lower pick this year.
  14. It doesn't seem like people in the know are all that excited about Geno. I don't really have an opinion, but I do worry that he played with two high quality RAC-monster WRs in a weak conference.
  15. Best parts of your ideas: 1. Trade Kyle Williams - He doesn't fit. Prolly a 4th rounder. Maybe Denver 2. Sign Landry and Mauluga. They are not perfect, but they can play the run. 3. Draft Jamie Collins. I think it's a good year to load up on 4th rounders if they can get them.
  16. Definitely poor man's Sanders in term of talent. Bob Sanders had a known foot problem entering the draft. Most teams, according to Polian, had him off their board. But he loved him and their doc thought they could do something with him. Shemarko is a physical specimen with no known health issues other than a scraped nose and bruised ego.
  17. Bad mock. Werner is not going #2. And Lotolelielei top 5? The more mock drafts I see, the more you realize it's kinda a weak draft in terms on top end talent. Not only are there no Lucks, but no Petersons or Von Millers either. I sincerely hope the Bills take the BPA, which I think will be an O-lineman.
  18. I don't care about WR. Get a QB. Stop the run. Build the O-line.
  19. I agree, but Mayock called him a "poor man's Bob Sanders". I don't know what to do with that.
  20. He said today that he would be at the LSU Pro Day
  21. Wasn't he 5'10"? I doubt a sub 5'9" cb has ever been picked in the top 10. The fact that Deion likes him means something to me.
  22. I was one of them, but that was based on him winning virtually every award a defensive player could win more than anything else. He's still a 1st rounder people. Maybe early 2, but my guess is he doesn't get by Chicago.
