  1. There's no LB that worth a top 10 pick.....not when you may be able to get a franchise LT or a generational talent at OG. Drafting for need is what has gotten Buffalo into trouble in the 1st place. Troupe. Williams. Graham. I'll keep harping on it...when it's apple season, pick apples. Take the O-lineman. Get the QB and the LB later.
  2. Let's not base our reasoning of taking Nassib on the Pinstripe Bowl. He threw for 127. Mighta had a pick too. Syracuse just ran all over WV. But something above struck me before when I read it. Geno Smith was discouraged in a loss. If the kid is not a leader, it's going to be a tough go in the NFL, no mater how athletic he is. Neither of the top QBs check all the boxes. I'd hate to pass of a HOF anything for a middliing QB just because we need one. Even if we need one real bad. I'd put money on the Bills drafting a QB in the 2nd.
  3. I'm actually serious. What's the use of having a 5th rounder or a 6th rounder just to cut them, especially when you have needs at those positions AND said cut players are on other NFL rosters. Mark Asper might be the Tom Brady of OGs for all we know, but we cut him to keep Collin Brown or some other FA junk. What junk did we keep at LB instead of taking a good look at Carder. Maybe they suck, but we'll never know.
  4. I don't get it. You're not going to get Warmack and Geno, et. al. I know you want something other than a OG, but if this guy is anywhere near Shields or Hutch, I'm in.
  5. I hope the Bills sign no FAs until June and they actually keep and play their own draft choices. Cutting Tank Carder and Mark Asper last year was UNACCEPTABLE. Now people want to invest highly in a WR when the Bills just spent a 3rd on a WR. It's just no way to do business.
  6. AWESOME!!! The other thing is: Let's say we lose Levitre. Assuming we don't sign a big money FA this year, it stands to reason that the Bills would get a 3rd or 4th Compensatory selection next year. So maybe Buddy is thinking he's trading Levitre for Warmack, a 3rd and $6M in Cap space. When you think about it like that, to me, it makes his departure more plausible and acceptable. But, that being said, I'd rather keep him.
  7. Maybe a sign and trade type scenario. Interesting......It is a good safety class....
  8. By the way - Byrd is not guaranteed to be back in Buffalo. It's a non-exclusive tag. If, let's say Cincinnati, signs Byrd to an offer sheet and the Bills don't match, the Bills get two 1st round picks and Byrd is gone. Better yet, if I'm Green Bay or the 49ers, I would give up those low 1st rounders for Byrd. No brainer.
  9. I consider this: The head coach is an offensive lineman. Maybe his evaluations are different than ours and he thinks he can coach up the position with a less expensive player. Maybe they want more power from their guards. Maybe at a higher number, the Bills just are not interested. I'm not going to hang them for that until I see what the team looks like in July. If they are talking to Langston Walker in late August, we'll know it's just more of the same. That being said, Levitre is at least good and Buddy said he was going to sign his own good players and draft well. So let's see what he does.
  10. The best teams are built from their own bricks.
  11. Watched the 1st half. He does have a nice throwing motion and puts the ball in good spots. Way stronger arm than Fitz. The TV guys said he was dealing with hip and ankle injuries, so his mobility might have been limited. But I thought he looked pretty good.
  12. Well, I wouldn't go that far just yet. Remember that OBD have a relationship with Levitre. And he has a routine here. And he's a homegrown hero here. If he goes to Detroit and their line, for any reason, stinks, he never sees the far side of his contract. He knows who he's playing next to in Buffalo and they don't suck (Wood and Glenn). There are a lot of reasons a guy would resign and we just will not know for a couple weeks. No sense getting the panties in a bunch just yet. There with plenty of time (and reasons) to vilify Magoo.
  13. The elephant in the room is - why weren't these 2 guys signed a long time ago?
  14. He'll never make it through the Analytics Department.
  15. I'm not sure I agree. The Bills have at least 1 legitimate WR and invested highly in another just last year. Don't you at least have to give TJ Graham a shot before you write him off? And if you give the new QB a solid TE, that's another weapon. I just don't see any "must have" WRs this year and we have so many other needs.
  16. In answering this poll, you have to guess who will be available. There's no LB worth taking. Assuming Smith will be gone. I went with Oline. And if they go O-line or anything else in the 1st, they must go QB later.
  17. Wow!! I loved that article. If that's the kind of analytics RB is trying to incorporate, I guess we may see a different QB than we think. It does worry me that 33% of Geno Smith's passes were behind the line of scrimmage and he was decidedly poor on the passes that require a lot of zip. But, on the other hand, I watched a few of his highlights and the dude is slippery in the pocket. Not in a "tuck and run" way. But in a way that allows him to find some clean space to throw in. And he does it all while keeping his eyes down field apparently. He is the most confusing QB to try and figure out.
  18. Hey... I don't think there's any accident with the Bills sucking during Brandon's entire employment, but do we need to jump on everything he says? Often, he says the right thing. Saying the right things have never been a problem. Check out the ticket sales. I don't care what he says or what Buddy says. It's time to put up.
  19. You can't teach size. The Bills should be interested.
