  1. Here we go. I think any QB who is not a franchise QB gets in the way of us developing a potential QB.
  2. Even tho I think the Seahawks only swapped positions in the 2nd round for Whitehurst, I agree with your premise. Get the QB. This year. Next year. The following year.
  3. If the 2 QBs are gone, Warmack is your guy. He might be your guy anyways. As Buddy said "It's a tough year to need a QB".
  4. As much as I'd like to try to be positive, to say the Bills were 4 plays away from 10-6 is kind of a joke. They were also about 4 plays from being 2-14. Good players make the coach. Not the other way around. Getting blown off the ball isn't coaching. I think people overestimate the abilities of 95 and 99 despite evidence to the contrary. I see this defense as Mario, Carrington, Byrd, Gilmore and 7 question marks. Lawson looks like a step in the right direction and I hope they add more. They need to add more.
  5. Boom. Buffalo is not a media darling. If you look at the FA list on NFL.com, they don't have Buffalo listed as interested in anyone. Why? Either because nobody asked or the Bills are not talking. What the Bills do in FA in the 2nd/3rd day or FA is just not newsworthy.
  6. The Pats will get Amendola or Tavon Austin and inflict the same amount of pain they always do. It's all about Brady. That's why we need Bernard Pollard.
  7. I would rather turn in a 2-14 than another 6-10. And it just may happen. But then changes will happen. The Bills will find a QB and sooner or later, it'll go the other way.
  8. Losing any good player sucks. How they respond to losing a good player is even more important than losing the player himself. If the Bills use the 8 M to sign a LB and a G, who both make the Pro Bowl in 2013, the Bills are better. If the Bills take an OG in the draft who sets the standard for being a modern NFL Guard and is destined for the HOF, the Bills are better. Granted, Nix has not been the best GM. But I'm willing to entertain the possibility that the FO changes actually were changes and the Bills might turn the corner this time. It beats pissing and moaning (and I know that I've done plenty). I do, however, reserve the right to P&M if the Bills take a CB at 8 in the draft.
  9. Just because he was here...just because you know his name...doesn't mean he was good. I can't cry for the loss of a backup OG. He wasn't good enough to be a starter.
  10. My god. I had the exact same words in my head and figured I'd just scroll through to see what every one else thought. The have a professional linebacker. Now bring in Dansby for a look.
  11. I don't see Nix reversing out of a $100 M commitment soon after he ate his investment in Ryan Fitz.
  12. Drafting Asper only to release him so you can keep the Colin Brown's of the world is a joke. The problem is, and I think we'll all agree, Buddy Nix has no strategic vision of what this team should look like. I sincerely hope Doug Whaley does have such a vision.....like obtaining a Center this year because you may lose Wood next. Drafting a QB this year....and then again until a real QB emerges. Really guys, for this year it doesn't matter. Both teams suck.
  13. Whomever gives us reason to whip. It's a fluid thing with the Bills.
  14. Cracks in the Belichick genius armor?
  15. Now THAT's comedy.....but isn't it dag gummed?
  16. Nobody, but NOBODY is harder on Magoo than me. But he has had prob his best day as a GM today. Cut remaining dead wood. Don't overreact in free agency. Maybe you guys are right and Whaley really IS in charge. It certainly feels different this off season. That being said, they will probably suck this year, but at least they are not further setting themselves back with questionable cap investments.
  17. The Dolphins already had a good D. They also have NO cbs. I'm happy that Nix has been patient.
  18. I don't see any deals I wish the Bills were in on. I'm one of the most negative guys around here, but I think the Bills are having a great off season so far. They got rid of a TON of dead wood and they did not, so far, overreact by over paying. BTW - Give me Dansby all day at the right number.
  19. Not worth the price seems to be the general thoughts of the talking heads. I wish it was more clear cut as it was in previous years.
  20. I think Fitz will get between 3-4 to hold a clipboard or maybe take a slightly better incentive laden deal in AZ. Why would you offer Fitz 4 more years if you decided he wasn't the guy?
  21. Near $40 mil for Levitre. That a lot of iron for a guard. Any change on thoughts of Warmack?
