  1. It's a garbage mock on so many levels. The Bills are not going WR in the 1st. Barkley will be gone late first at the latest. EJ Manuel in the 4th. Even taking a RB at all... I would scrap it and start over. Just one guy's opinion.
  2. Wait till you see what a difference a QB makes in evaluating a WR (assuming he makes the team). He has a decent year, Belichick is a genius....yadda, yadda, yadda.
  3. I hope the Bills do not sign another significant FA. Play young people who play relatively free. Build through the draft.
  4. With Barkley, I agree with that. But when I hear Schopp use the same logic to say "just go ahead and draft Nassib in the 1st round", I gurgle vomit. I'm ok with either Barkley or Smith in the 1st, but I'm not the one who needs to get this right.
  5. BINGO!! The goal is not to win "any" games. The goal is to win the last game.
  6. You'll know it when you see it. I read the article and I agree with the author 100%. Good teams are built in April. March is for "losers" plugging holes with Benjamins. And that Baltimore has had a great offseason so far. Wait till you see their compensatory selections next year. They are so far ahead of the Bills.
  7. Now that is harsh. Probably true, but harsh.
  8. I'm terrified of the Bills trading ANY 2014 picks and of getting on the Blue line going the wrong way in Chicago.
  9. I need to read your schemes slower. It's not that they're not well written. It's like reading another language to me and I don't instinctively get what you're saying. I appreciate your posts though. It just takes me a while.Hey, isn't Morrison gone? And....I'm curious with what you do with current personnel. We may not get that Suggs this year.
  10. One thing is clear: The Bills only have 1 possible 5 technique guy right now in Carrington and they're listing him as DT. So the Bills CAN"T be a straight 3-4 this year, can they? I assume they're going to end up with a NY Giants (1990) type of 3-4 with Mario somewhere around the TE, Dareus on the 3 inside of him, Carrington playing near the C and _________________being the rush guy. If they don't improve it with a draft pick, my guess is it will be Anderson or Moats. They may have some coverage liabilities there unless the RILB is a speedster. We know Shep is not. I think Lawson lines up over the TE and will rush only when O goes strong left, unless they flip. This is my application after reading the article anyways. I'd be curious to know what an X's and O's guy thinks the Bills should do based on their personnel. That's a great article on someone like KW fits. Thanks.
  11. I'm not saying you don't draft him, but as much as I am impressed by 24 TDs v. 0 INTs in his first 5 games, he did play against Marshall, James Madison, Maryland, Baylor and Texas. Some bad defenses in there and maybe 1 NFL defender coming from those teams. And...He followed up by getting bottled up pretty well against Texas Tech and Kansas State. I wouldn't draft Geno Smith any more based on those 5 games than I would give a QB a huge contract extension based on a good 5 game stretch.
  12. I don't remember anything about the guy he's been gone so long. Was he supposed to be the Ted Washington type of space eater? or a Warren Sapp type penetrator (I'm a little nervous throwing these terms out there in light of above discussion).
  13. This is the best article on modern defensive fronts I've read in a while. The multiple front concepts are broken down well and fairly easy to understand, even for me. It makes you think how the Bills might use Mario and even Lawson. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/cosell-3-4-4-3-concepts-more-personnel-163318715--nfl.html
  14. I hear you. And Dansby certainly would be better than the gaping void we have there now. I'm just suggesting based on a couple of readings that he sounds a bit challenging in the locker room.
  15. Completing 33% of his passes behind the line of scrimmage and over 50% within 10 yards. Super explosive WRs with ridiculous RAC #s padding the crap out of his stats. Never...NEVER taking a snap from center. Never dropping back from center and properly setting his feet for a 3 step, 5 step or 7 step throw. Playing against the worst defensive D1 division. If you don't see these as concerns, you're not paying attention. He may be good, but these things must be considered.
  16. He might be the kind of A-hole who sits on the market a while..... http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/56166/karlos-dansby-shocked-by-dolphins-release man....that's a lot of 1s.
  17. The Jags have no interest in taking Geno. Neither do the Raiders or the Eagles. They just want to stoke the media fire and get Buddy or Cardinals to package picks to move up. It's ALL posturing and I hope Buddy doesn't fall for it. Geno will be there at 8 if they want him.
