  1. BLAH!! BLAH!! BLAH!! And trade Lee Evans while you're at it. BLAH, Blah, blah.
  2. Sorry. I accidentally replied to you instead of fast reply. Mine wasn't a reply to you at all.
  3. Mark Miller? Whatever. Hey...Jim Kelly was no prince when in his prime. Granted, he was no rapist, but he possessed the "earned arrogance" of any great athlete. You can't put them up on that pedestal his whole life, give him a different set of rules because he can chuck it 70 yards and then ask him to play checkers in the park. Obey the law. Win games. If he ruffles a few feathers along the way, it will all be forgotten.
  4. Well, we'd certainly love to have all these players on the roster, but we'd need higher picks to accomplish. When I think of Spiller, I am reminded how un-tough this Buffalo Bills team is. If you remember when Pat Wms was here. Even Ted Washington. It was satisfying as a Bills fan to see them impose their will on other teams. We can't do that now. Our lines are too leaky on either side of the ball. As much as Spiller is a threat, is he that good that he'll create creases just through his speed and elusiveness? As much as I understand a Spiller or Clausen pick, I want 850 lbs in the first 3 rounds with a 50 pound discount for our OLB. If Bulaga and T. Wms are gone, I am expecting Dan Williams.
  5. Well, let's not forget that Butler was the Gm into 03 and AJ Smith is the current GM. After '04, his voice was certainly louder. I'm not trying to kill Buddy Nix. I'm trying to evaluate his body of work to see where he might go this year.
  6. And regarding Maybin...who is to day that he would not have had similar production if he played OLB for the Redskins last year? And who is to say Orakpo would have done ANYTHING as a DLE in Buffalo?? I question Nix's picks for discussion purposes, but not Maybin. At this point...you just don't know.
  7. I'll buy all that. What were Nix's big hits?
  8. First Pat Nolan and now Matt Williamson? It's official.... As they say in the movie, "Who ARE these guys"?
  9. I read that he was with the Chargers in '08 as well. And I don't mean to piss in Cheerios, but I'm just sick of talking about Evans, Lynch, Tebow and Clausen. I've been reading about Nix, Pete Carroll, Holmgren and yes, even Al Davis. I saw SD drafting Buster Davis and Jacob Hester and it told me 2 things: 1. Nix knows how to sell his guy in the war room; and 2. Nix had a few misses on his resume. Let's hope Whaley and Modrak are competent and compete better in the war room. I don't want to hear who Modrak wanted over the last few years. If he doesn't have the conviction to sell his guy, then what good is he??
  10. In wondering what new GMs will do in this year's draft, I was checking into what they did with their old clubs. Take a look at what San Diego drafted on 2008 and 2007. We're all expecting great things from Mr. Nix, but Buster Davis (SEC Guy) and Antoine Cason worry me. The rest wasn't great either, including Jacob Hester in the 2nd (another SEC guy). The other thing is..after Butler died, the Chargers drafts have gotten progressively worse. Don't be surprised if you are surprised on our draft.
  11. I didn't need to see the stat line as I saw the whole game. It didn't seem like Morgan knew when to spin, when to power or when to speed. He was fairly invisible. I appreciate your effort in posting the Youtubes. The play on Calloway was at the end of a broken pocket. Can Morgan get to the pocket?? I'm not sure.
  12. Didn't Morgan's performance, or lack thereof, against Bulaga scare you off? At least a little? He looked very ordinary in that game.
  13. BUT HE'S RANKED #56!! Sorry. I don't mean to shout. But I'm getting tired of this ignorant sh*t. Patrick Moran, Pro Football Focus, etc. T minus 7 days to sanity (I hope).
  14. Wow!! #56!!! He sucks. Cut the guy. He can't run routes. He can't get deep. He can't catch. Cut him now.
  15. I can honestly say I don't remember Pittburgh ever trading up...or down in the draft. They just patiently take the BPA every year, look like they're going to suck because they (again) lost their best player. And then go 11-5. Plus, they signed Randle El, Arnaz Battle and have Ward, Sweed and Wallace already in town. Trade denied.
  16. Like the other poster, I think Bulaga is long gone by #9. If he gets throught Chiefs, I think he'll end up in Oakland. But a solid post. Add your reason to the fact that Gailey probably recruited him to Ga Tech and it makes sense. The problem is: I think Thomas is gone by our pick. I've heard too much talk about him being a 1st rounder, but if he lasts, I'm for him even if we take Clausen.
  17. 1. Jim Clausen - Seahawks 2. Tim Tebow - Vikings 3. Eric Berry - Browns 4. CJ Spiller - Giants 5. Dez Bryant - Seahawks New regimes are impossible to predict, so I would be surprised if anyone gets 3 right.
  18. a higher 1st rounder for a lower That is the only acceptable and realistic answer.
  19. I would be surprised if Seattle takes him too, but I don't think they have THAT much invested in Whitehurst in picks or money that they'll pass on Clausen if they think he's the next great QB. Maybe they see Whitehurst as just a good value that they can sucker some franchise into giving them a 1st round pick after 1 or 2 successful starts. Nah..no team would be that stupid... As Philly has showed you, too many QBs is a good thing.
  20. No, but there seems to be people who know some people whose brother knew a little bird.
  21. Edwards yards per completion was the same as Brohm and Fitz in that discombobulated offense. And Fitz had a 99 yarder! Gawd that offense was horrible.
