  1. I disagree. He was a big part of the problem. When you play against a blitzing team, you have to hit your open WRs when you do have time to get them down field. He missed 2 wide open guys in the 1st half that might have changed the game (assuming Lee Evans would have graced us with a catch). I like Fitz's running ability, but wonder whether he gives up the pass a little early to save his skin. I guess I can't blame him. It's great to be a rah-rah guy, but Fitz doesn't make anybody around him better the way an NFL QB should.
  2. A great coach and horrible GM once commented that if you want to help your QB, give him a good defense. I agree with that. Of course, if an Elway is available, you take him. But please don't take a QB just to take one when the next Ngata, Ray Lewis or Jake Long is available. I don't care what you take. Just don't miss.
  3. Did you just say draft a DB?? Jesus Christmas!!!
  4. Well, Meredith is an OT and Incognito a OG. So you're off there. Incognito knew that Bflo drafted 2 guards high, wisely wanted out and now he plays next to the best OT in the game. Incognito rid himself of the Bills, not the other way around. There's plenty of stuff to complain about, but this is just whiney crap to me.
  5. ...it would balance out the other clown's extension. Good football player. What could be worse than playing safety behind that front 7?
  6. Maybe that's the Billboard we shoulda bought... "Ralph, please sell the team".
  7. The most true. Although I'm tempted on one of the previous posts. He was a Jauron guy.
  8. His mediocrity rises him above the crap he plays around. That's a bit harsh, but he's more Justin Bannan than Hloti Ngata.
  9. The Bills drafting over the last 8 years has been hideous! They only have 14 players on their roster from these drafts and, really, not one stud pro bowler. These are the likes of Kelsay, Parrish and D. Bell. They repreatedly picked the wrong player at the right position (Williams/McKinney, Schaub/Losman, Hardy/D.Jackson, McCargo/Peko or Cofield). As and especially amusing sidenote, in 2002, when we last drafted top 5, NOT ONE of our drafted players is still in the NFL!!! There is not 1 worse drafting team than our Buffalo Bills. Not one. I don't disagree that Nix is an uproven cook, but with these ingredients...good luck. Harrumph!!!
  10. At least the Bills ARE really bad right now. They have teased us with mediocrity for 10 years. Now that we hit rock bottom, maybe we can draft some quality players. Then again, maybe we'll draft Mike Williams and Josh Reed.
  11. A. The Bills had the ball for 19 minutes. If they pounded the wildcat, they might have been able to pump that up to 22. B. That is the worst defense in Team history. There's no quick fix, and C. The debate of Jackson, Lynch and Spiller is bogus. The Bills can't stop anyone or throw consistently. Unless Freddy can rush the passer or plug an giant hole in the d-line, he's useless to us as the other 2 are about the same right now.
  12. Well, if not the best team in the league, they are clearly the best in New Jersey.
  13. Who would Poz start over? David Harris or Bart Scott. The fact that Poz is mediocre makes him look good on that team.
  14. I think you are out of your mind. This is the worst collection of defensive lineman the Bills have ever assembled. Only Kyle Williams shows up, and he looks good compared to others, but that's because he only gets blown off the ball ever other play. If this front office is remotely competent, players like Stroud, McCargo, and S. Johnson will soon be flipping burgers for a living. The Bills' LBs are the weakest in the NFL, but the D-line is very close to the same. Ask yourself this question: If you were Mike Tannenbaum and you could cherry pick 1 player from the Bills FOR FREE, whom would you take? Who on the Bills would start on the Jets? This is the worst collection of has beens and never will be players ever at One Bills Drive.
  15. How could anyone blame Whitner. The Bills front 7 is laughable. Don't even think about criticizing the dbacks in a game like that. Evans was horrible. I like him, but maybe it's time for him to move on.
  16. Boy, that guy has some nerve talking with all that aggressive talk. Who does he think he is? An NFL linebacker?
  17. I think the assertion is there has to be a drafted team that is a solid core before you add that QB that puts you over the top. While the Bills were drafting garbage, teams like the Saints drafted starters over the past 4 years. So when they added Brees and Jabari Greer, they complemented the solid team they already were. You just can't keep missing on complete drafts. Despite being one of the least talented teams in the NFL, the Bills have 1 contributor from the 2010 draft, and a TOTAL of 14 contributors from the last 8 drafts (Spiller, Wood, Byrd, Levitre, McKelvin, Bell, S. Johnson, Lynch, Poslusny, Whitner, K. Williams, Parrish, Evans and Kelsay) . And out of these, only Lynch and Byrd have made the Pro Bowl. NOT ONE of these players is an indisputable stud that makes us better than anyone else. That just can't happen. Our drafts must be better or we're doomed no matter what trades we make or free agents we bring in.
  18. With the NFL's worst front 7, you're worried about the safeties? I think the dbs have been awesome, considering the lack of anything from the boys up front.
  19. I'm afraid your light at the end of the tunnel isn't what you think it is.
