  1. I read the email and thought "Was I EVER so delusional and optimistic in my youth?". Probably, I guess. Don't forget that all these cities are looking at their schedule and counting (without much thought) the Buffalo game as a win.
  2. Monday's here. Time to wallow.
  3. Merriman on 1 leg is the best LB on that team. I don't even think he's 30 yet. Why not?
  4. Bust. Trade him to Green Bay. I think they can get a 2nd rounder. Get r done Buddy. (this will be posted seriously by someone in the next few months).
  5. Considering our recent draft history, I will take either if they are good football players. The Bills are like a guy who's an ofer at the plate for 5 games. I just want to hit on a 1st rounder at one of the many positions we need. The Bills do not have enough talent on the roster to lock into ANY position.
  6. Let it go fellas. It's over. Yesterday. History. It's not going to change.
  7. I don't even have to look at it. You're right. We have too many gentlemen on this team and the game is NOT cricket.
  8. Where ever they are, that's my team. It's mentally impossible to switch allegiances.
  9. It's an ugly defense. The worst in team history. No player can be all THAT great and I'm not asserting Whitner's greatness. But he does what a safety is supposed to do more often than not. And for the Bills to get distracted at this point and waste any more resources on the defensive backfield is a giant leap in the wrong direction.
  10. He could cheat up, as great safeties do, if he knew he had help. If he knew the front 7 were doing their job, he could attmpt to make more plays. He has very little help. Look, nevermind. You guys are going to bury everyone on the team anyways. When you can't recognize GAPING HOLES in the Bills' 32nd ranked run defense and you want to hang TD's all on the safety who couldn't bail the line out 1 more time, I'm not going to convince you. Nor is anyone. Oh, in case you haven't noticed, LT looks great this year.
  11. The best safeties in the league can play more aggressively because they know that even if they do not make the play, someone behind them will. Whitner has never had that luxury. I guess you'd rather have your SAFETY take more chances to break up more passes. On THIS team? Like is said before, ignant. And I love people faulting him for getting jocked by LT. Whitner, on his own with no help in the open field against a HOF running back with a GAPING HOLE in the front 7. Somehow, Whitner should guess right or fill that GAPING HOLE. You are so far off base, it's laughable. Go back to talking about Kelsay's extension or Stroud's fine suits.
  12. Hey, when writing a postitve article about Marcus Stroud, I would also focus on sense of humor and wardrobe. If he gets an extension, I'm cancelling all of my season tix. I can't watch him walk backwards anymore.
  13. My God is that well put and well placed. I remember Bruce sacking Ty Detmer on 4th and goal in Philly to preserve a Bills win. Gabe Northen also had a blocked punt for a TD. I was there and that's tat last reaally meaningful sack I can remember. We need some pass rushers, people. Maybe even more than a quarterback.
  14. I'm with you on Whitner. To expect him to cover and tackle everyone with very little help is just ignant. But bitching about what we have is what's done best around here. Now, if he was just just cut by another team??? Get r done Buddy. Ridiculous.
  15. He's the only common thread over the last 10 years. If he doesn't have the cajones to scream for his guy, he's no better than the guy who truly has no clue (Marv). He should give us a parting gift. I can't believe I hear his name year after year.
  16. I always say "unless your team won the Superbowl, who cares", or "your team is just a little less crappy than mine, but they haven't done anything". Most important thing: Pick on the one thing about their team that drives them crazy. In New York, I call the Jets the "Jersey Boys" and talk about Revis' holdout causing his hamstring injury. I never give in and always go on offense. There's always something.
  17. 2 year deal. Don't even let him play this year. Just get superhealthy and ramp up next year. I'd give that a shot. But he'll probably sign with the Pats if he has anything left.
  18. PFT has no more weight or credibility than TBD.
  19. I think Whitner will be re-signed. Regardless of what you think about him, he's better at his position than Kelsay is at LB...and Kelsay got his...
  20. Scheme is not the problem. They have very little talent. Who cares where they line up?
  21. I was at that game. What a cool play.
  22. Maybe the reason Fitz is doing well is he knows that he is 2 series away from grabbing the clipboard from Brohm. Gailey said as much. I guarantee you see Brohm during the next 2 games, which WILL be brutal. At Baltimore and at KC. That being said, I don't care if either of them are Joe Willie, the Bills are going to lose by a lot with that defense. In fact, I'm going to start calling it "efense".
