  1. Seriously, what does IIRC mean?
  2. I'm starting to agree with you alot PTR. I'm not sure if you should be offended or flattered. The only thing I would add is a large and speedy Tight End.
  3. If he can't shed a block, what good is he? Cut him now if this is true. He looks like a football player to me. Maybe not quick enough, but he has a clue how to play the game.
  4. Just because he stinks slightly less than what the Bills have doesn't mean that he doesn't stink. I'm actually happy he had some success considering the year he had (losing a parent), but I think Maybin peaked and will last maybe 2 more years in NFL. Maybe 1.
  5. I've been one of the guys preaching defense, but how coould you pass on Blackmon. If Jeffrey is as good, I find it hard to believe you could pass on either....unless a better pass rusher is available. And how sucky is it that Indy gets Manning on a platter, then tanks to get Luck....It's like the Penguins getting Lemiuex, then Crosby.
  6. Simple. Build it into his contract. He costs the team, it costs him.
  7. Just because he's in the lineup doesn't mean he can be a consistent NFL player. I'm sick of rationalizing and looking for bright spots on a guy's resume. Chances are......he's a bum who wouldn't make another NFL squad. Merry Christmas.
  8. I suggest that there are no untouchable 30 year olds on a 6-10 team. That defense is soooo overmatched, despite the fact that Jackson is a great player and I love him, I would absolutely trade him for a second or even a package including a 3 rd if it helps build that Defense. Be smart. Jackson will never be on a playoff Bills team, so why not entertain offers. That being said. He'll get signed to a Leino contract an blow out his knee in week 3.
  9. I really feel good about the Jets losing.
  10. +1. Well put.
  11. Much better list. Unrealistic tho. Ralph will never pay.
  12. It's garbage threads like this that make it hard to visit TBD in December.
  13. That's fine. Just don't spend one your top 3 picks on a WR. That's the biggest reason you keep him. He actually IS an NFL player. If you lose him, you have to draft and hope the next guy is....and it may take 3 picks (Parrish, Hardy, Easley). Maybe more. Yeah...sign him I guess. But if a decent FA is available, maybe you let him walk.
  14. Stevie Johnson is not a stud receiver. We can point to stuff every year he does to not win games I'm not saying I want him gone. But he's a franchise receiver like Ville Leino is a #1 center. He may just be the perfect Bills player. Does enough to make them competitive, but juuuuust short of making them win. My guess is they overpay for him, pay him blue chip money for good (not great) performance. And if this comes off as slagging Johnson, I'm not. He's one of the Bills most talented players. That's just how bad they are.
  15. I'm pretty sure they can lose without him. Build the defense, receivers as good as Brandon Lloyd are available every year for low draft picks. Don't get distracted by fringe players when you trenches are leaky. 2 pass rushers, 1 Ilb, and 1 OT. The rest I don't care.... Stevie Johnson is a nice player, but he's 1 great catch (per game) away from being a great player.
  16. This is an excellent post. Finally something worth reading. My only 2 cents is that people need to just stop the criticism of the cornerbacks. They are the least of our worries and the last place the Bills should invest any draft picks or FA dollars. How anyone could judge any cornerback behind that front seven is beyond me. McKelvin showed showed great promise before this genius coaching staff got ahold of him. Now, he's marginal in coverage and he sucks at kickoff returns. He's the same guy. The problem, fellas and fellerinas, IS COACHING!
  17. I am 3 weeks ahead of you. I even forgot what time they played last Sunday. Further....there are 4 seats in section 132 that will be available next year. I am a lifer and I am DONE. When the Bills put a good product on the field, I will return. As they say......it's nothing personal, it's a business.
  18. No WRs. They touch the ball 6 times a game...if they are awesome. For the next 2 years, draft guys who line up no more than a few yards off the ball.
  19. 2012...or my name ain't Nathan Arizona!! Different regime, I think. Different in names, not necessarily in performance and results. I dunno why they seem to make it so hard. I want this team to draft defensive front 7 HEAVY for the next 2 years. But you know we'll get WRs and DBs. I'm so numb, I'm kinda losing interest...and my thirst for season tix.
  20. Develop draft board. Commit to draft board. Follow draft board. History (and hindsight) is for losers.
  21. Nothing, but NOTHING, is more annoying than ' just sayn'. Maybe it's me, but I discount anything said with 'just sayin' attached to it. Sorry, what was this post about?
  22. +1. and Suh had competent D-linemen around him playing for a competent NFL defensive coach. The ignorance for the sake of outrage is astounding on this board.
  23. +1. the Bills are considered the easy part of everyone's sched.
  24. I agree that change is necessary. But it is the talent level that needs changing. Everywhere. Line. Lb. Cb. Just bad.
  25. When the defense gives up drives like they do, the offense is handicapped by it's predictability. Fitz starts the 1st half down 7 and the second half down 30. I'm telling you. A good defense would fix that offense. You wow me with your insightful analysis.
