  1. I'm not sure what to make of this post. Since Matthews was overmatched and ultimately benched in Philly, the suggestion surely can't be that he'd be better in Bflo. I think the Bills had a perfectly logical BPA draft in 2011 and will never get hurt having that kind of draft. Look at Baltimore. Their Hall of Fame duo of Reed and Lewis were taken in the 20s. The Ravens prolly didn't have urgent need, but they took the BPA. If it is an OT, then so be it.
  2. If we take an OT, he better be awesome... And this begs the question: if you could be guaranteed that the OT at 10, say Reiff, played for 10 years with 5 pro bowls, would you take him? Even over Upshaw?
  3. I saw Foles play live. He was awesome. Granted, it was against the Toledo Rockets. But I am curious to see this group of QBs and would bet that our QB comes out of this group in the 3rd/4th round.
  4. Upshaw Upshaw Upshaw Upshaw Upshaw Upshaw.
  5. A. Don't even think of evaluating McKelvin or any of the other corners in back of the 2011 "pass rush". No cornerbacks can cover for more than 3 or 4 seconds and what we have is just fine. B. Regarding drafting a cornerback in the first 3 rounds this year....ARE YOU HIGH OR IGNORANT? The Bills have the worst front 7 in the league and the worst front 7 in team history. They have major needs and WR, OT and maybe even need a QB. If they draft a CB in the 1st 3 rounds, it will set them back another few years. Please take Upshaw. Take Hightower even. Anyone but a 1st round DB.
  6. He won yesterday. Great coach. He lost three straight heading into playoffs. Horrible coach. I guess we'll find out whether we really shoulda pursued this guy depending on this week's game at New England.
  7. Fewell is the same driver with a different car. The Giants have the best young defender in the NFL in JPP and also have Tuck, Canty, Omenura and Kiwanuka. The Bills........
  8. I almost want to flame myself for thinking it, but maybe part of the problem with pass rush is scheme. Maybe when Williams comes back, the line will be ok as far as a pass rush. Now...can the middle 3 stop the run???
  9. A lot of people, teams and cities are slighted in the name of comedy.... This is where you draw the line??? Gimme a break!! Getting worked up over inane comments, even worse...tweets, about stuff like this is what wrong with our country these days. Laugh if it's funny. Turn it off if it's not. But for god's sake, don't turn it into a social or moral issue. I can't even say "Merry Christmas" anymore because of idiot stuff like this. Get on with it.
  10. I have a lot of friends in Cincy. They are excited about playoff run, but also sure Mike Brown will find a way to screw it up. Just like the Bills in the East, I will believe in the Bengal when they beat Pitt and Balt and are competitive in a playoff game. Til then...anomaly. And they let Justin Smith and Jonathon Joseph walk...drafted Akili Smith, David Klingler and half the known felons in the league....a true model franchise.
  11. 4 years. 12 Million. Are you serious? Yesterday is gone friend. Tomorrow is the only thing you have a shot at.
  12. I hear you, but don't your probability of a successful pick decreases with each round? We can't miss on defensive help. At #10, the difference in grade shouldn't be that much.....and their need is urgent. The Bills can't afford a skill player. Period.
  13. I've decided that, as much as I loved watching Blackmon play, the Bills would be even more insane if they continued to ignore the defense. Unless they plug the biggest hole in the boat, what's the point? Defensive front 7 or OT. Anything else is a great indication of the Bills continued and future irrelevance in the NFL.
  14. Call out the wambulance. I hate these hindsighty...shoulda drafted Ngata...shoulda kept Pat Wms....shoulda kept Jason Peters posts. We all know they let a ton of talent walk and made poor draft decisions. That's why the Bills have been irrelevant for a dozen years. They did what they did and are where they are. If it's not entertaining, don't go to games or buy Bills t-shirts. With the incredible support the Bills get relative to the quality of the product, why should the Bills change anything? Remember, they are run by a bean counter.
  15. I know this name means nothing to everyone, but the Bills signed OL Jake Vermiglio (NC State) to the practice squad after he was cut by Green Bay because they were short on RBs. 6'5" and 330lb. Huge kid with good feet. At least the people on the practice squad sound good and fit a need. How long did we carry Paul Hubbard and Felton Huggins with zero hope they would ever see the field. Maybe Whaley is in charge.
  16. Looks intense. If he's a MLB game changer, you don't overlook him because of what you have. I will not B word at any pick in the front 7, no matter when and how often.
  17. He's a good receiver worthy of good money. If he wants elite money for good play, he's gone and so what....Build the defense. You CAN win without a dominant WR, but you can't win with the JV defensive front 7 we have been riding the past 2-3 years. I think Stevie is saying the only way he stays is if the Bills overpay for him. If he wants to go, he'll go and he'll take his "good money" from someone else. He will not get 8 mil.
  18. He said money will be no factor in his decision whether or not to enter the draft because financially,he's all set and has a lot of resources at Clemson. To echo an earlier poster.....WOW.
  19. My only posts on this subject have the draft chart in mind. Belichick's later 1st round picks have the same value as 10. Why would he do it? The last time he did it produced Jerrod Mayo. Of course it probabaly will not happen. The question is: should the Bills be interested. Trading up will never happen. Rothlisburger was right there and the Bills did nothing. Pat Willis....same thing. The Bills value their young, cheap talent too much to trade two future holes in the roster for 1 stud.
  20. If Belichick wants to move up would you take his 2 1sts and a 3rd for #10?
  21. I am giving up my season tix this year.....Section 131, row 9, seats 1-4. Good seats, but you have to stand the whole game and the camera does get in the way. We had Jim Kelly Club last year. It was neat to have a pizza delivered to your seat, and the short bathroom lines make having a coupla beers tolerable. It was also good not dealing with sloppy drunks. That being said, I felt really far from the field and $262 per game, per seat was too expensive. Not enough perks to justify extra $$. Yoou should be able to get 20 yard visitor side, but it may be low. Good luck!
  22. I know it's been done to death, but we were watching the Michigan game and my wife points out an offensive lineman and how well he would fit in with the Bills. His name was spelled weird, but it looked like HUGE. Maybe it was Huyge. Here's a girl that gets it. On Martin, unless he is Jake Long/Joe Thomas, you just have to roll with what you have and draft more defense.
