Right. In that 4 week period, there were approx 262,000 deaths, which is definitely over the expected number. However, it is not like that hasn't happened before. If you go back to the 2017-2018 flu season, there were several months that topped that total. In January 2018, there were 287,000 deaths.... -

Are the small businesses and all the jobs killed off by the economic shutdown considered covid deaths as well? Asking for a friend... -

I didn't vote in 2016 - and I had voted in every presidential election since 1980. I couldn't bring myself to vote for Clinton or Trump. However, I will be voting for Trump in November. -

Your mind is obviously as confused as Kemp's. I haven't mentioned Biden in any posts in this thread - and rarely mentioned him in any posts in any other thread. Hopefully, your mental confusion is from lack of sleep and not something more structurally permanent. Get some rest and get well soon! -

Maybe they can cram everyone they identify into cargo trains and ship them off to a camp somewhere.... -

I didn’t vote for Trump, I have never liked Trump as a person, and I am not in any Trump fan clubs. I am also not a fan of the non-stop criticism and blame during a national crisis. The letter started out with “This is your last chance to get it right” and went downhill from there. You are welcome to have whatever opinions you want and I’ll have mine. Don’t assume the motivations I have for my opinions. -

I did read it, against my better judgement. I should have followed my instincts. I didn’t find anything in it other than the same tired criticisms -

Finally, something we can agree on. -

I will try to explain the difference. I have not gone on and on blaming anyone regarding the coronavirus. I happen to believe there will be plenty of time when this is all over to assess the good, the bad, and everything in between. I am not outraged by any of it. My stance has always been that people in power, here and around the world, reacted how they did and when they did according to the information available to them at the time. Do I wish we would have been more prepared and reacted sooner? Of course. I can entertain that thought and, at the same time, believe Trump and others acted when and how they reasonably could have been expected to based on available information. Those are not mutually exclusive views. I didn't get outraged over Trump's statements minimizing the virus any more than I got outraged over leaders like Cuomo, De Blasio, Pelosi, and others minimizing the virus in late February and March. They all were acting in accordance with the information being disseminated at the time. So, I have been entirely consistent. You, on the other hand, have been on a crusade to find blame, and only with Trump. You have been outraged over everything he has said and done and there are pages of your posts to prove it. Yet, you have never gone on, post after post, calling out Cuomo, De Blasio, Pelosi, etc. for the very same things. So, you have not been consistent. That is why you are being hypocritical and I am not.
