  1. Hey, Slim. So, a couple arms themselves, on their property, as a bi-racial crowd breaks through a gate, onto private property, and acts in an agressive, threatening manner. Perhaps, you could explain what specific behavior they engaged in that was racist? Right out of the Left Handbook for Dummies: When someone does something you disagree with, accuse them of being racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. Since you were so amused by his remarks, please, provide an explanation and some proof that you are not racist.
  2. Is it just me, or does every other thread started these days seem like it was authored by a middle schooler?
  3. LOL. Valid point
  4. The future of our country... God help us
  5. He will never engage in substantive discussions. He is a flamethrower and a crusader. And not very smart or clever...
  6. I just want to get a post in before Gary deletes the thread... IN
  7. Apparently the CHOP “Security” is systemically racist as well...
  8. All those young kids with no real life experiences on which to base any decisions, wanting so desperately to be part of something historical...
  9. Puerto Rico is interesting. They didn't want anything to do with statehood while companies were flocking there and the economy was booming because of tax incentives and loopholes. Once they were closed off in the late 90s/early 2000s the economy started to tank - and mostly because of horrible fiscal management and corruption. The last vote I am aware of was in overwhelming support of statehood; however, only about 20% of the voting population even bothered to vote. I don't really have a stance on statehood for Puerto Rico, because I haven't studied the situation enough. I would like to see an honest debate.
  10. I don't particularly care what California does. The Constitution stipulates that each state gets 2 Senators. I would make the same argument if California was staunchly Republican. D.C. is a separate issue in the requirements by the framers to ensure that it would not be unduly influenced. That is the point.
  11. According to the Constitution, yes.
  12. Sowell is not denouncing all government programs. He is denouncing the idea that government programs are the answers to every problem.
  13. I am saying it is not as simple as adding a state located anywhere else, and would inevitably involve legal battles regarding the constitutionality of the creation.
  14. I understand how Senate seats are distributed. And I also understand the fundamental reasons why the framers created a federal district that was not beholden to any particular state, such as the one that would surround it with this Bill.
  15. I would suppose that the Republicans don't run those kinds of campaigns because that is not what they believe. Classic liberalism. When someone disagrees with you on any topic, just make hyperbolic accusations.
  16. This is how the mind of a liberal works...
  17. FIFY. The epitaph on the tombstone of Socialism...
  18. Oh, I thought your definition of work was going to be: Creating bureaucracies where a disproportionate amount of taxpayer money goes to the bloated administration of the programs; programs creating generational environments where it is more advantageous to not have a father or bread winner in the home, and create dependency on the government; creating programs where there are little to no actual processes in place to adequately monitor legitimate from illigitimate administration of services, and to prevent billions of dollars of fraud, waste and abuse; or any real mechanisms in place to determine when the program is no longer needed - or even to provide incentives to move recipients in the direction of no longer needing the services. My bad
  19. The composition of the Senate is pretty well defined in a little document called the Constitution. Perhaps you have heard of it?
  20. I think the Amish should seek reparations from the Quakers and all those who have diminished beliefs and way of life
  21. It is a standard ruling from the 9th Circuit: A place where they have only a passing acquaintance with the Constitution...
  22. I suppose it depends on what your definition of "work" is?
  23. When the Democrats actually control the Senate and Presidency, let me know. Until then, this thread is both wrong and pointless...
