  1. Weren't the Chiefs the last #1 seed to lose to a #2 seed in the AFC in 2018?
  2. Yeah, I'm not sure what was going on this year with him in Houston. He only had 19 targets, so it is tough to do any sort of real analysis. Last year he had a drop rate of 5% on 50 targets. At any rate, I don't think he sees the field unless Davis can't go.
  3. It might have a little to do with who is throwing him the ball. His catch rate with the Dolphins was 52%. With the Saints and the Texans it was around 70%
  4. IMO, Watkins has always possessed tremendous talent that has never consistently manifested on the field. The fact is that he is receiver with a career 58 catch percentage who struggles to stay on the field. I had no problem when they decided to let him go and I have no personal animosity toward him. I have more of an issue with Whaley for what he gave up to get Watkins, than I do with Watkins himself for not living up to the expectations that came with it.
  5. Best wishes for a full recovery. Hopefully, Josh can give him a big get well gift tomorrow.
  6. I agree. It is what he will be able to do mentally that will maximize the physical gifts he possesses - and he is one smart kid.
  7. I have no idea how well he will do as a coach. I hope does well. I like to see people succeed when they get their chances. However, that presser was just painful to watch...
  8. I think there are a lot of people who have no idea how good Josh is, at this point in his career, in his pre-snap reads. Even when the defense gives him a false pre-snap read, he, more often than not, quickly recognizes it at the snap of the ball and adjusts rather than forcing a throw into a coverage he didn't anticipate pre-snap.
  9. Love Allen and love this team. Go Bills!!!!!!
  10. If those are my three options, I would have to say the Carlton Bailey interception (which, I believe, was in the 1991 AFC Championship - not 1993). Te Bills couldn't do anything on offense in that game and I am not sure they win it without Bailey scoring that TD
  11. I think this group of people is dwindling, but they are still there. I can recall three separate primetime games this year where the play by play man or color commentator gave the vast majority of the the credit for Allen's improvement to Daboll. Just in the Ravens game I heard Al Michaels say, in reference to Allen's improvement, that Daboll designed a shorter passing game for Allen that would "dramatically" improve the completion percentage for any QB...
  12. I loved Tasker as a player and I really don't mind him so much in his media role with the Bills now. Like a number of the great players from the last great Buffalo Bills era, he loves this town and he loves this team. Something cool about. By the way Charlie Romes, I'm still upset with you for dropping that Dan Fouts pass that would have ended the game and kept our Bills alive for another week in the playoffs during the 1980-1981 season...
  13. Right. Which is not at all uncommon in the NFL.
  14. Right. I think it is one of those unique situations where each has the abilities to allow the other to maximize those abilities. I am glad Daboll is staying. The potential for what they can do is exciting.
  15. Just awesome!!! I love the positive energy and I wish him all the best in his recovery.
  16. He is one of those "experts" that bought into the lazy "inaccurate" analysis of Allen coming out of college and still refuses to let it go. I think it is more important for some people to perpetuate the myths about Allen than admit that they were wrong. What I find interesting, is that some of these people, like Skip, have, on occasion, admitted to being wrong about views they have held of other players. However, they just seem to have a more difficult time doing so with Allen. I also think people like Skip are in the minority now
  17. This is truly awesome, my friend! I know you are so very proud.
  18. Right? That was awful...
  19. Other teams say the same about Bills as they are one of the best teams at converting 3rd and long. It is an offensive league
  20. The Bills defense has been one of the better defenses (DVOA) over the last 8 weeks and is currently ranked 2nd (DVOA), just behind Tampa of the final four teams. This just in: They are going to face some pretty good offenses in the playoffs, each presenting its own unique challenge. They need to make the plays they need to make - and they have been doing just that.
  21. Not sure the Ravens game is the one you want to use as your standard for poor defense....
