  1. If you are going to throw the ball almost 60 times, you really should be at least in the 375-400 yard range...
  2. I enjoyed his articles and I wish him well.
  3. True. Although, the same could be said for a number of posters here as well. As for blocking people, I could think of a number of legitimate reasons to do so. However, if you are going to put yourself out there publicly as having some level of "expertise" in any field, and block people simply because they disagree with you, then maybe you should consider doing something different. Not a good look.
  4. I think they all get a participation trophy...
  5. Why do they look like high school yearbook photos? Half expected to see some "Most likely to..." saying under each photo.
  6. I tend to fall in the camp that a win is a win and I will take them in whatever form in which they come. However, point differential over the course of a season is still a pretty good metric in regard to which teams make the playoffs. In most seasons, it is rare to find teams with positive point differentials not make the playoffs in the NFL (only 2 teams with +PD did not make the playoffs), NBA (last year every team with +PD made the playoffs), and MLB (only 1 team with +PD did not make the playoffs). Of course, by virtue of winning most of its games, any given team would have a greater likelihood of having a +PD. So, there's that...
  7. I really don't understand why anyone would form any perceptions of what Allen may or may not do based on Carson Wentz or any other QB. There are so many variables that go into the success, or lack of success, any QB may experience. Whatever Allen does, in terms of success, will be according to those variables unique to him.
  8. Conclusion from the article: I read the article. Like I said, I have no idea why this is even a topic.
  9. Honestly, I don't understand why this is a thing. People apparently just love to doubt this kid...
  10. This is pretty much my stance. I'll wait to hear the specific facts before forming any opinion. I do feel that allegations of sexual assult should be taken seriously and looked into. However, I do not feel that the allegation should be automatically believed or automatically dismissed as something other than legitimate.
  11. I just found the lawsuit: https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/cornelius-bennett-assault.pdf While I haven't studied the Complaint in depth, in a cursory review I didn't see anything explaining how the NFL or the Bills should have known, or should have had any reasonable belief, that Bennett would engage in that type of behavior, was a danger to anyone. At first I thought it might be based on the other sexual assault allegation; however, that occurred after this assault allegedly occurred.
  12. Ha! I thought he wrote "Hall" of Fame. Those senior moments....
  13. I believe off the field issues are not supposed to factor in to the voting; however, I'm sure for some (maybe many?) it does.
  14. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2021/09/02/cornelius-bennett-former-buffalo-bills-player-accused-sexual-assault-brighton-ny-bar-otter-lodge/5692984001/ Here is the complaint: https://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/cornelius-bennett-assault.pdf
  15. Belichick did go on to make life pretty miserable for Sanchez - and also got to enjoy, first hand, this beautiful moment...
  16. Of the other 4 throws to Sanders, 3 were clearly uncatchable. 1 looked like a clear throw away that hit the ground 5 yards in front of Sanders; 2 were overthrown (1 over the middle and 1 deep along the sidelines); and the other could have been caught (?) but was really more of bad placement by Allen in a throw to the flat.
  17. "We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay." He literally had to read these words off a teleprompter. I don't know if he could have looked or sounded more weak...
  18. This happened because we didn't evacuate people out before we pulled our ability to ensure it transpired in the most effective and efficient way possible. This happened because instead of doing this over a protracted period of time, we waited until we couldn't possibly do it within the prescribed deadline we set. This happened because we isolated ourselves geographically to one location without the ability to adequately protect ourselves - pretty much putting a bulls eye on the airport for all of the enemies we have in that part of the world. This happened because this Administration doesn't have a f*#@ing clue when it comes to matters such as this....
  19. There sure as hell is a wrong way to do it and you are watching it unfold before your very eyes....
  20. That is unfortunate. I hate to see any athlete's career derailed or limited because of injury - especially those with really promising careers. I wish him the best and, hopefully, he will get back to where he was.
  21. Burrow has been cleared to play and he says he is 100% with no physical limitations. We won't know until we see him in real game action - and the mental aspects of recovering from an injury like that can sometimes be as difficult as the physical aspects. Prior to the injury, I though he displayed everything you would like to see in a potential franchise QB. I hope he completely recovers from his injury.
  22. Why is a new thread started every time Beasley sends out a tweet just to have the same conversation? Deja vu all over again...
  23. You are right, minor league teams are part of the professional system. But, for me, a player passing through on a minor league team just isn't the same as a player representing the city at the major league level - for the purposes of a "Mount Rushmore" discussion. JMO.
  24. Don't need to start a new thread. The OP referenced Boston's four major sports teams - as in professional sports teams - and the players he mentioned all represented the city of Boston on those teams. For me, Buffalo didn't have those four major professional teams and they didn't have a professional baseball player representing the city. So, the OP can include baseball if he wants. I can choose not to. Because, you know, it's just my opinion ...and last I checked, having a differing opinion was allowed.
