Did the Jets game really prove anything????
billsfan1959 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
It proved that those posters, after the Jax game, that openly questioned whether or not this team could actually beat the Jets, or worse, predicted a win by the Jets, should probably not post on this site after a loss. Or, if they do decide to post after a loss, the should have an adult proof read their posts before hitting "submit reply."- 74 replies

I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
billsfan1959 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look, I know you are back on your team's bandwagon and good for you. If you feel the need to go on another team's message board to try to convince fans of another team and yourself that the Chargers, Browns, and Panthers were some kind of "gauntlet" and playing great football when they played your team, in order to rationalize to yourself that your team deserves the lofty status it now occupies in your mind, feel free. Regardless, the truth is this: It doesn't matter who your team has played or who the Bills have played, or what the outcomes of those games were. None of that has any relevance to the games ahead between the two teams, or with other teams. We will know when they play each other and at the end of the year where the two stand. Until then, spend your time thumping your chest on the message boards of other teams to manage your fragile psyche and to keep your little world from falling apart. I guess it is cheaper than a therapist. It all seems somewhat pathetic to me, but I try not to judge. -
I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
billsfan1959 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your point was that KC was not good when the Bills beat them. The same can be said for the Chargers, Panthers, and Browns when the Pats**** beat them. Don't change the narrative. I believe the Pats have a good team and the games between them and the Bills will be tough. But don't play semantics and try to say the ".500" teams the Pats**** beat were very good at the time they beat them. They weren't. -
I hate to say it … but the Pats are coming
billsfan1959 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Pats***** beat the Chargers in the middle of a 3 of 4 losing streak, the Panthers who had lost 4 of their previous 5, and a schizophrenic Browns team, without Chubb and Hunt, who are not that great when they are playing well and downright awful when they aren't. And KC was bad when the Bills played them? Please.... -

And your response is to root for your team to lose? WTF kind of logic is that? -

That's like saying Jeffrey Dahmer was slightly maladjusted... -

So, you would like the Bills to lose to the Pats and Colts because of "homerism?" Perhaps your post should have begun, "As someone who doesn't like the Bills...." -
Poor roster decisions still an issue with this regime

Poor roster decisions still an issue with this regime
billsfan1959 replied to FilthyBeast's topic in The Stadium Wall
1) Brieda did some good things yesterday and he also lost a fumble and failed to even chip on an untouched blitzer as came out of the backfield. In general, he is not very good at pass blocking and, on a team whose weakest link is their Oline, I'm not sure he is someone we want in the backfield a lot. I like his speed, but what do we give up in return. 2) A.J. Klein is great in his role. I'm not sure he should be seeing much more time on the field unless they are really struggling to stop the run. 3) I think one of the issues in Davis' diminished role this year is a bad ankle that I don't think, even now, is completely 100%. I love Davis and, if he is healthy, I think he should be on the field as much as much as Sanders and targeted as much. 4) Obada played well yesterday and he also has had games where he didn't play that well. Also, the defense is one of the best in the league. I don't think I would quibble about the rotation they are using on their D-line. 5) Punter isn't that big of an issue aand if you think that is what cost them the Steelers game, then you must not have watched the game. Now do you honestly believe the above really represent poor roster decisions that warrant its own thread? A front office that completely rebuilt this team into one of the better teams in the NFL and this is what you choose to demonstrate that "poor roster decisions are still an issue with this regime?" This just in, every regime in the NFL has hits and misses. You spent all last week going on and on, ad nauseum, about what an awful team this is and, rather than talk about things they addressed after last week, or anything positive at all, the first thing you do today is start a thread about how the front office doesn't know what it is doing with roster decisions. If the above is the best you can come up with, then you really missed the mark of what your thread title implies... -
But didn't you predict a blowout win by the Jets? So, if you thought the Jets would dominate the Bills, shouldn't we be excited about a blow out win against them? Or, if you truly agree that the Jets are a dumpster fire and you still predicted a blowout win over the Bills (that turned out to be the exact opposite), doen't that pretty much call into question any assessment of the Bills you might have?

I like Saleh and, as we all know, it is tough to turn around a franchise mired in a losing culture. I'll see what he does over the next couple of years before I say he wasn't a good hire.
-
I told you it wasn't a serious question... Well, apparently, they matched up well with the Jets..

What's funny is that there were maybe 8-10 posters who just overwhelmed this board with their outrage over anything and everything to do with this team. Today, you would think they would be here celebrating a pretty good all around showing by their team. Yet, you see only a brief post here and there from some of them and none from most of them. Oh, and my guess is they didn't learn their lesson and will be out in full force after the next bad game...

All I know is with Spencer Brown starting at RT and Williams at RG, the Bills are averaging 313 YPG passing, 135 YPG rushing, 448 Total YPG, and 38.5 PPG

11/14/21 Postgame Thread: Bills at Jets
billsfan1959 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Per NFL.com, the Bills won by 25-plus points for the sixth time since 2020, most in the NFL. -
I actually would like to see Cam do well.

Given the analses I saw on this board after the Bills lost to Jax, I guess, after the loss today to WFT, Tom Brady and the Bucs... ....Lax mind set and arrogance must be a real problem ....must be soft and have no heart ....completely took the WFT for granted ....have been figured out by other teams ....aren't championship material ....might not win another game Did I miss anything?

Sean McDermott press conference 11-10
billsfan1959 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
When McDermott says, "I thought we'd be further along at this point," it doesn't necessarily indicate he is demanding a change in philosophy on the part of Daboll. It could simply be referring to executing the run game efficiently when they need to. I think McDermott is more concerned with the ability to run when they need to run, as opposed to how much they run. Although, I also think he would like to run it more than they do, but he also understands the strengths of this team. My point was that, IMO, McDermott is not the kind of coach that is hesitant in any way to reign anyone in or holding them accountable. He also is not the kind of head coach to subordinate his philosophies to those of his assistants if he believes his philosophies are better for the team. -
Always liked him never like to see a player go down with a significant injury. Hope recovery goes well for him.

billsfan1959 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think McDermott will hold everyone accountable that needs to be held accountable, including himself. That is who he is. He is driven to building a championship caliber team and he is always motivated to make this team better. -
Worst Loss For Each SB Champion Since 2010
billsfan1959 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's a narrative that you and a few other posters on this board are promoting. So, you will interpret anything you don't like as evidence that it is true. Much like the ridiculous assertions that this coaching staff and team are "arrogant," "take teams for granted," "have no heart," are "soft," etc., etc., etc. - it just isn't true. -
I think it is an indication of how bad quality OL depth is in the NFL right now. Very few teams have quality starters across the line and almost none have quality depth. Most teams in the NFL are going to have issues if any of their quality starters miss any length of time.
