  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. My guess is that if the Bills would have won the SB right before the 17 year drought started (or at any time), every one of us would have been just as miserable during that period as we were without a SB win - and this board would still have the complete meltdowns it has every time a game doesn't end the way we want.
  3. Right. From the Divisional Round on, every game was tied or within 3 points at the end of regulation. So, I guess pretty much every team that lost didn't come through in the clutch.
  4. There is a reason for that, thank goodness...
  5. And that is relevant to whether or not they are good coaches, how? As I said, people like you seem to have no ability to look at things in nuanced ways...
  6. He doesn't owe you an explanation. He owes it to his players and coaches to handle it in a dignified way, learn from it, and be better.
  7. Allen is a more athletic, aware, and smarter runner than Cam ever was
  8. It is impossible for some people to look at anything in nuanced ways. Everything is black and white: It is either all good or all bad - depending entirely on nothing more than how they feel at the moment...
  9. It's uncanny how your avatar so perfectly matches your posts. Fascinating. Kind of like that phenomenon where people look like their pets....
  10. It doesn't mean the defense or offense for either team shows up in the way they want or they typically do. A team can have a great pass rush and never get pressure at all, or a team with an average pass rush can end up with pressure and sacks all game long. In that way, it is just like every other game ever played. That whole, "On any given day..." thing. If it wasn't, then every Super Bowl would be the greatest game ever played.
  11. And so did Allen - both for the same reasons: They managed to escape pressure that 95% or more of QBs could never escape. When Allen does it to other defenses, he is amazing... When Mahomes does it to our defense, Frazier sucks...
  12. I'm not saying they can't improve their defense; however, the path to any championship for Buffalo is going through Allen and the offense. Period. Just as the path for KC has gone, and will continue to go, through Mahomes and their offense.
  13. Actually, according to Football Outsiders, Sanders was the 36th ranked WR (DYAR) (Total value) and the 23rd ranked WR (DVOA) (Value per play) in the NFL this year
  14. Actually, last year they came back to win in a number of games. This year, they came back again in a number of games. Allen led them down the field in almost every close game they lost this year, putting them in a position of winning or tying the game. The difference is that they failed to finish this year every time, which, was a statistical anomaly. In his 1st 3 years, Allen averaged almost 3 4th qtr comebacks per year and almost 4 game winning drives per year - compared to zero this year. He was one of only 3 QBs in the entire league that had no come from behind wins.
  15. The Bengals had a far worse defense than the BIlls (and every other playoff team) this year. That second half against KC was as much about the KC offense imploding as much as it was about anything the Bengals did defensively. And last year, that same Tampa defense got scorched by KC to the tune of 550+ yards just a month or so earlier. The fact is, a kickoff in the field of play with 13 seconds left and that game is probably over. Regardless, at the end of regulation the Bills and KC were pretty even in every meaningful offensive metric you want to look at - including the score. So, yes, the Bills absolutely can go toe to toe with KC offensively.
  16. McDermott is a damn good football coach
  17. Of the top 20 QBs in passing Yards, Allen was last in the % of his total passing yards that came from YAC, and first in the % of his total passing yards that came before YAC Allen (in relation to top 20 QBs): 8th in total passing yards 16th in total YAC 20th in YAC as a % of his total passing yards 3rd in Total yards prior to YAC 1st in Total yards prior to YAC as a % of his total yards
  18. What can I say, great minds think alike...and different than yours...
  19. This is one of the traits of both Beane and McDermott that I respect the most.
  20. Apparently, his indignation at lack of minority representation ends where the possibility of getting millions out of the NFL begins....
  21. I listened to Wigdor in a couple of interviews condescendingly lecture the NFL about the lack of black representation in head coaching and management positions being evidence, in and of itself, of systemic racism. Wigdors law firm: I think this falls under that whole "People who live in glass houses..." thing
  22. According to a review of the video, Kamara initiated the physical contact with the guy and punched him approximately eight times, including two or three after the guy was down. Responsibility for his behavior starts with him. If he needs people around him to keep him from violently assaulting others, then maybe they should replace those people with steel bars in the form of a jail cell...
  23. I believe if it is done on a yacht...
  24. Wait, is this a disguised "Are we over-reacting to the 13 seconds?" Part Deux thread?
