  1. If they find that guy and draft him, you won't have to write any new posts...just re-cycle your last 1000 or so....
  2. The only point that the "14 games crowd" is trying to make is that we do not know, at this point, whether or not Manuel can be a quality NFL QB. "We" do not believe he has had enough of an opportunity. That is it. He may turn out to be good or he may not. Let's just see. You are welcome to whatever opinion you want and you can use whatever factors you choose to base that opinion on. Only time will tell.
  3. How about their 1st 10 games of their rookie years. Almost identical... Att Comp Comp% Yds TDs TD% INTs INT% QB rating Tannehill 280 165 58.9 1979 5 1.79 9 3.21 76 Manuel 279 162 58.6 1822 9 3.23 9 3,23 75 The only other fair comparisons would be their first four games of their second years. You will find the same. The point is that Tannehill has had the opportunity to improve and he has. Manuel has not had the opportunity. Nobody can say if he would improve with the opportunity - but they can't say he would not either.
  4. Here they are (1st 14 games each). But don't tell anyone - it might dispel a lot of myths out there....like a QB can't improve Att Comp Comp% Yds TDs TD% INTs INT% QB rating Tannehill 396 227 57.3 2709 8 2.02 12 3.03 72.4 Manuel 437 256 58.6 2816 16 3.66 12 2.74 78.5
  5. Exactly: at this point the logical vote would be yes. The OP wants us to make an argument that Manuel, who only played 14 games and hasn't played since week four of this last season, is better at this point than a QB who has had the opportunity to improve over three full, uninterrupted seasons at QB. It is an argument that cannot be reasonably made. So, what exactly is this poll supposed to demonstrate? That Tannehill, (whose completion %, TD%, INT%, and QB rating were all worse in his first 14 games than Manuel's) improved with the opportunity to do so? That a QB who has played 48 games is better at this point than a QB who has played 14 games? Big surprise. Do we need a poll to figure that out? My guess is that the primary purpose of this poll is to provide the OP with something he can use to rationalize his long standing dislike for Manuel.
  6. Must be the way Tannehill, in his 3rd full season, led a team that PFF graded out as the 12th best defense and 7th best rushing game to a magical 8-8 season. I'm surprised they are not considering making him the highest paid QB in the league...
  7. Exactly my point. You want to take into account Tannehill's improvement in second and third seasons, while ignoring the fact Manuel hasn't really had the chance to see if he could improve playing full second and third seasons. However, it doesn't surprise me. Based on the dislike you have consistently shown in your posts in reference to EJ, I doubt there is a QB you wouldn't trade him for....
  8. Exactly. Manuel and Tannehill had almost identical stats after their first year in terms of completion %, TD%, INT %, AY/A, etc. I doubt many people would have traded Manuel for Tannehil straight up based solely on their first seasons...
  9. The Bills have their plans and Greg Roman knows what he is doing. Be patient
  10. The hatred I had for the Dolphins during the 70s and 80s is burning hot again....
  11. I wish him the very best. He is a class act and was always an ambassador for Buffalo during his time here.
  12. I do believe the AFC East, as a whole, has already become much more competetive
  13. Awesome! Here's hoping you are just as wrong about EJ
  14. Fast, very athletic, finished in the top two in every drill at the combine. Coming out of college, the major issues were height, reading the entire field, and his accuracy. Good pick up to see what he can do.
  15. Justin Blalock and Stefen Wisniewski are still available. Blalock is 31; however, he is durable (missed only 3 games in his career) and strong in run blocking. Wisniewski is a center, but played guard in his first year.
  16. I definitely see Gragg doing better things in Roman's offense
  17. Must be pretty confident in landing Clay
  18. FWIW, For the 2014 season, PFF had Clay graded 9th among tight ends in receiving and 11th in run blocking (as opposed to Chandler, who was rated 63rd and 40th respectively) A little more perspective: Julius Thomas was rated 10th and 33rd respectively
  19. You said there had not been dominant defense like the 2000 Ravens or 2002 Bucs. You were wrong. If you think the 2013 Seattle defense wasn't dominant, then you were not paying attention. They won three playoff games, including the Superbowl on the strength of their defense. As for the QB play: Wilson, averaged 14 completions and 174 yds a game in the playoffs. What Wilson didn't do was turn the ball over.
  20. I'm not sure how you missed Seattle's Superbowl win against Denver....it was in all the papers
