  1. Wishing you a safe and speedy return from the dark place in which you have found yourself - and I truly hope the rest of your life is a wonderful journey. Godspeed, my friend.
  2. It is a shame anyone has to actually make this plea...
  3. I agree. I am really torn in this draft. I really like Rosen and Darnold; however, I am wondering if the difference between them and the next 3-4 QBs is worth the draft capital the team would need to give up to get either one. Part of me feels that the team has put itself in position to draft so many potentially good players in this draft while also having the potential to get additional pieces in free agency and the draft next year. So, would they be better off going with someone like Rudolph (Faulk, Lauletta, White) and build a championship caliber team around him over the next two years?
  4. 1. We are a week into free agency and 5-6 weeks from the draft. I think it is probably the perfect time to start calling Beane out as a failure... 2. Beane wasn't here when the team passed on Watson
  5. I know that I am in the minority here; however, while I would prefer Darnold or Rosen, I really wouldn't mind if the Bills kept all of their picks and took Rudolph later in the first round. What I see in the clip you provided, as well as other videos I have watched: - While he does not have exceptional arm strength, he does throw one of the better deep balls of the QBs in this draft - He also has enough arm strength to make all the throws he would need to make at the NFL level - He is not terribly mobile; however, he has pretty good pocket awareness, moves well within the pocket, and keeps his eyes downfield - Good accuracy, good anticipation, and goes through his reads pretty well - Also, I would disagree with the poor decisions in crunch time. From the videos I have watched, I think his decision-making abilities under pressure are in the top 3 of QBs in this draft
  6. If you believe this is true, then, IMO, you have completely misinterpreted the personalities and actions of Beane and McDermott...
  7. I would not be upset if the Bills kept all of their picks and drafted Rudolph at 22. Beane has been very consistent about building this team through the draft. I just do not see him trading most of his draft capital to get to #2, which is, most likely, the only way to get Darnold or Rosen. I see Beane building a solid young core of players with this draft and taking the QB his team (consensus wise) believes has the best potential to develop into a very good NFL QB - and, I think, that QB might be Rudolph.
  8. Half the posters on this board are going to have a meltdown no matter what the Bills do...
  9. Since they replaced the entire scouting staff last year, my guess would be it isn't...
  10. Right, because I doubt, up until now, they haven't given much thought at all about what their primary and contingency plans might be regarding the QB situation...
  11. If his replacement comes from this draft, I doubt it will be with a top 5 pick. I just do not see this front office giving up much of their draft capital.
  12. I am sure the Colts shopped the pick and the Bills were aware of what it would take to get that pick over the Jets - and did not feel it was worth it. At this point, I will trust their judgment and wait to see what they do.
  13. Bruschi is trying to connect dots that don't exist anywhere but in his tiny little brain....
  14. Absolutely. Add to that the fact that this team had every reason to fold after that awful three game stretch in the middle of the season when everything seemed to be falling apart. Instead, they played hard and did everything they needed to do down the stretch to put themselves in a position for a playoff berth - I don't care that they "back-doored in" with a miracle play. After what this coaching staff did with what they had to work with, and after the moves the FO made to put this team in a great position to develop over the next couple of years into a consistently competitive team, they have earned my confidence.
  15. I believe they already have, to some degree....
  16. If they truly believe Wentz will be 100% by the beginning of the season, then it would be in their best interests to move Foles this off season, if they are interested in a reasonable (2nd round) draft pick. He is a free agent after next season and they will not get anything for him. I know they want a 1st rounder for him - but I don't think anyone will give that to them...but, I could be wrong about that.
  17. I wouldn't be opposed to Foles, if they could get him at a reasonable cost and still select a QB in the first round.
  18. As with every other Bills fan, I hope they trade up and draft one of the top QBs who are sure to go in the top of the first round. However, at this point, it is mere speculation as to whether they actually trade up to draft a QB and, if so, which QB they covet. I do trust "the process" and the football acumen of the people in charge of building this team (something I haven't felt in many, many years), and Beane strikes me as detailed, disciplined, and practical. The trade of Tyrod says, to me, that they have their plans (primary and contingency) in place and are very confident they will be able to execute one of those plans (free agent, trade up, select a QB later in Rd 1/early in Rd 2, or some combination) to put this team in a better position to compete, long-term, than if they had kept Tyrod. I know what I hope they do and who I hope they select. But, in the end, I feel they have earned the trust, at least from me, that they will make the best decision possible for the short and long-term interests of this team.
  19. Strangely enough, that was my initial thought when I saw the post title...
  20. He's actually had a lot of good years as a coordinator, not just one
  21. If Johnson had to lead the team to a game winning drive, then the defense obviously did NOT have the game won. Pretty simple concept....
  22. In the last two minutes of a playoff game, on the road, against a very good team (that went on to fall one yard short of winning the super bowl), Johnson led the Bills to, what should have been, a game winning drive. That is why we evaluate the actual plays on the field, rather than just the box score....
  23. I would understand this statement if you said it made you "feel" like a complete ass. However, having a tendency to believe people all the time doesn't make you "look" like a complete ass - acting like a complete ass makes you look like a complete ass. Just sayin'...
  24. Anytime the government skirts due process, it is a problem and shouldn't go unchecked
