That was my point. You were specifically responding to me and insinuating because I disagreed with you, that I think losing is better in the long term. I never said that or implied it. I always prefer winning to losing. If you were not insinuating that, then my apologies. I was simply saying that, IMO, there is a distinction between making the playoffs and being a playoff team, from a talent perspective. To me, there is a difference. It has nothing to do with my preference for winning. Cheers.

Ahhh...the old "if you disagree with me you are a loser and prefer to lose" argument. You got me. I didn't finish high school because I thought a high school diploma, a college degree, and post graduate degrees would interfere with my plans to be a failure in life, I married the woman who was most likely to be unfaithful because I deserve to be cheated on, and I aborted all my children to eliminate the off-chance possibility they might be successful and a source of pride.

Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?
billsfan1959 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can separate my thoughts. My separate thoughts are (1) it was the right move to trade him and (2) I do not think this team would be much better with Tyrod at QB. Those are two separate thoughts. That is just my opinion. Because somebody doesn't agree with you, it doesn't mean they are incapable of understanding the topic. -

We can agree to disagree. The team got a 3rd round pick for a mediocre, at best, QB, whose entire claim to fame is that he doesn't turn the ball over - rather than he is a good QB. IMO, it was time to move on from him and they did - and maybe approaching, at best, the Mendoza line in wins with him this year wasn't a good enough reason to keep him. -

In your opinion. My every objective, measurable standard: IMHO, No. -

Not missing the point at all. I just happen to think it is a silly point. They got a 3rd round pick for a QB that wouldn't have made this team much better this year, if better at all, and that the Brown's could not get anything for at this point. Why in the world would you want to keep a QB that you are arguing would only have made this team marginally better, at best? -
Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?

Not really. This is the same Taylor that led the 31st ranked passing offense last year and the 30th ranked passing offense in 2016 (with the benefit of the 1st ranked rushing offense). He is in his fifth year and on his third team - and riding the bench. The legend of Tyrod just seems to grow.... -

Apparently a small sample size is good enough to judge Allen, so, there's that..... -

And I am sure Taylor's 49% completion percentage, 5.6 yd passing avg, and 64 rating before he was benched (which, since you are so into stats, is NOT significantly better than what Allen posted) would have made this offense sooooooo much better. Talk about nonsensical. -

And he continues to show how significantly better he is every week with his play. Oh, wait.... -
Right. I'm sure, had they kept Tyrod and if they hadn't lost Wood and Incognito, They would be cruising right now to another 8-8, 9-7, "let's hope the tie-breakers go our way" season. Technically, they were a playoff team; however, IMHO, that team doesn't make the playoffs in most years (and we watched very similar teams fail the previous 17 years). I believe they were more lucky than good last year. I also believe that they will be a far better team in the net couple of years. Again, that is just my opinion. Cheers.

Depends on whether or not there is a wide receiver that is worth the value of whatever pick they end up with in the first round. They clearly need to add offensive talent to this roster, particularly at Receiver, OL, and a RB to groom behind Shady. However, they do not need to overvalue players, either in the draft or free agency just to fill positions of need.

Josh Allen starts week 12 but shows no growth....

I might question your views, your perceptions, your critical thinking skills, your sanity on occasion, and maybe even the paternal lineage of your children ; however, I won't question your passion for the Bills. And I don't think it is a matter of faith as much as it is a recognition that I have absolutely no control over anything regarding this team other than I how I choose to let it affect me as a fan. I try to do it in a way where I don't let it adversely affect me. It took me a long time to get there; however, my Sunday afternoons are so much more enjoyable now. I'm sure we will continue to have some passionate and spirited debates that even drift off the rails at times to, shall we say, less than cordial behavior. However, that is no different than most families (at least mine and most that I know). -

Question: If he got drunk and entered Nathan Peterman's house, would it still be first degree criminal trespass of a dwelling - as "people" are not "likely to be present?"

Top 10 Comeback Player of the Year Candidates
billsfan1959 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm shocked I haven't read that by starting Allen the rest of the season, McDermott is denying Barkley his shot at comeback player of the year. Which, of course, should, in turn, warrant firing McDermott. -

Not being ornery and not having a bad day. Simply pointing out that this coaching staff and FO are here at least through the end of next year. There is nothing on the side of "fire Beane and fire McDermott" that makes sense to me, so, there's that. -

I know you are hoping; however, it isn't going to happen. On the bright side, your next 1000 posts can be jut like your last 1000 posts: Some variation of Beane sucks, McDermott sucks, Allen Sucks, or this this team sucks. -

Hyperbole. This coaching staff is not going anywhere.
