  1. McDermott and Beane didn't hire themselves... Trying to make something out of nothing...
  2. If one were to make an argument as to why Tom Brady might be the GOAT, arm strength and throwing “the ball in the air over 20 yards” would never even be in the discussion. I cannot wait until they are both gone; however, the truth is they may be one of the best QB/coaching combinations in the history of the NFL. I do not believe the sustained success of NE would ever have occurred without both.
  3. Not quite the same - nobody was offering us 5 million dollars or more a year to stay... ?
  4. Apparently, Allen's accuracy at throwing a football is greater than your accuracy in analyzing football...
  5. In light of the previous incident, I was particularly troubled by the one in question. Anytime you have to be restrained from being physically aggressive, it means you are no longer fully in control of your own behavior. For the most part (with clear exceptions), I don't believe anyone should be defined by what they do in a moment in time, as it doesn't necessarily represent who they truly are as a person. However, when it happens several times, or more, then I think it warrants cause for concern. I hope he gets another chance and proves these incidents were not truly representative of who he is. I just don't think I want my team to be the one to take that risk.
  6. I do believe BB has outright, knowingly cheated over the years, and the level of my dislike for the Patriots is on par with the level of dislike I had for the Dolphins during the 70's and 80s (even into the 90s). However, I agree with you, a team does not have the sustained level of success that the Patriots have had, particularly in the free agency era, by cheating. They have sustained that level of success because of Brady and Belichick.
  7. The same thing they did the entire year...
  8. So incredibly sad. Saying a prayer and wishing them well.
  9. You do this in every thread about Allen. (1) The sample size of sub 60% college QBs drafted in the top 10 is too small to draw any significant statistical conclusions and (2) even if there was a large enough sample size, it would have no relevance whatsoever regarding whether or not Josh Allen will be successful. Those are group statistics. Let me try to explain this to you. If I told you that the average life expectancy of a male in the US was 72 years of age and that 80% of all men die by the time they are 82, it would not mean that you have an 80% chance of dying by the time you are 82 years old. As a matter of fact, it would mean nothing at all in regard to your personal life expectancy. That would depend on variables unique to you. Statistics might suggest that 80% of all men die by the time they are 82 years old; however, they cannot in any way say whether you are in the 80% that will die by age 82 or the 20% that will live longer. It is the same with Josh Allen. He will succeed or fail based solely on variables unique to him. The statistical analyses of any group of quarterbacks, or how well or how poorly any specific quarterback played, in the entire history of the NFL, has no relevance at all to Josh Allen. None. It is a specious argument.
  10. Not sure Sullivan is the guy to be offering advice on how to positively view things....
  11. Agreed, I don’t want Allen running the ball in the future like he did this year, and I would like to see him use that athleticism to find open targets. However, in his defense, a lot of his runs were the right decision (and he actually kept looking to throw as long as he could on many of those runs). He’ll get better with experience and receivers who actually understand how to adjust their routes to help out their QB when he is flushed from the pocket.
  12. Actually, Rogers’ athleticism is frequently talked about. The other three, while having elite pocket presence, don’t have a level of athleticism worth talking about.
  13. Even worse considering the defense had to account for a real vertical threat from the passing game and keeping a spy on Allen.
  14. Noah Fant. An athletic tight end who can create mismatches and get down the field.
  15. (1) It is how he gets his kicks and (2) I'm not so sure I would use the term "thinking" and referencing his posts in the same sentence. It is clearly not "obvious" that the Bills or anyone else would make that trade. There are arguments for both sides; however, we will have a better idea in a couple of years....
  16. Since you are the one constantly telling us how group stats say it is highly unlikely that Allen will be a successful NFL QB (setting aside for now that group stats mean absolutely nothing on an individual basis), why don’t you provide us a link to the statistics showing the success rate of all sub 60% drafted QBs versus the success rate of all 60% plus drafted QBs? Then, perhaps, you could explain to all of us how it has any relevance at all to the future success or lack of success regarding Josh Allen?
  17. I'm pretty sure the 1st round draft picks with sub 60% completion percentage is a much smaller pool than that... #hyperbole
  18. No, he wasn't. I like Russell Wilson a lot; however, he has had almost as many bad playoff performances as good ones.
  19. Which have zero relevance to this team....
  20. Shhhh... Never let the facts get in the way of a good anti Beane and McDermott rant....
