  1. That's like saying Moe was the most handsome of the three stooges...
  2. Thanks for the link - a good article. If true that the Giants contacted Beane first, I am glad he passed. Makes me wonder more and more about Gettleman - and feel more and more confident about Beane.
  3. I don't follow the Vikings, so, maybe someone knows the answer to this: Why would they pay Cousins 84 million dollars and then trade away his best receiver (who is only 26) a year later - after giving Diggs an extension last year?
  4. IMO, BPA on O-line or D-line at 9, if the Bills stay at that pick. Solid line play on both sides of the ball make the rest of the team better.
  5. I think QB is a separate issue and clearly looked at from a need perspective first. As far as all other players, you are right, we never really know. I think, for most teams, it probably becomes a combination of need and BPA.
  6. I would imagine, since we are talking about the Bills’ pick, it would be BPA according to the consensus of the Bills’ front office and coaching staff... But, that’s just me.
  7. I haven't read any posts suggesting Allen is going to be a successful or franchise caliber QB simply because he has heart, commitment, leadership skills, or just because he wants it. Those comments are made along with the knowledge that he has immense physical talent, and has given indications he has the intellectual acumen necessary to play the position as well. The variables that lead to success are unique to each individual, and it is difficult to parse them out in terms of which might carry greater weight / have greater influence. The traits you listed might not, on their own, be indicative of future success; however, I would argue they certainly could be important variables in his chances to be successful - and can't be dismissed as "not meaning anything when it comes to actual play in games."
  8. There is no standard time-line for an investigation to be concluded or charges to be filed. Each case is different.
  9. Well, the Browns are headed up now. It would have been worse if they were kicked while they were down...
  10. The draft is a fluid process and ALL options are on the table.
  11. What ends first: this press conference or Ray Ray McCloud's career as a Buffalo Bill?
  12. At this rate, they will be able to introduce their drafted players as well by the time it's over...
  13. IMO, a competitive division from top to bottom, year in and year out, might make it more difficult to regularly win the division or make the playoffs; however, it makes the teams better and prepares them better for a playoff run if they do get in.
  14. Personally hoping for Fant...
  15. It won't matter. Based on his posts in this thread, my guess is that, by the time your bet comes to fruition, his current username will be long gone - buried in the ever growing heap of banned trolls; and he will be on here under some new username - probably his 5th or 6th...and counting...
  16. From what I understand: The Bills inquired about a trade for Antonio Brown. After communicating with the Steelers and Brown's agent, they decided it was in their best interests not to pursue the trade. End of trade discussions. Not much of a debacle. Seems more like due diligence on the part of Beane - doing what he should be doing.
  17. Although I couldn't find the option, I vote, "yes"
  18. His parents must be so proud...
  19. I'm pretty sure it was evident from the entire post what I meant by that statement...
  20. I believe what many posters have stated is that Beane and McDermott are in the process of building the team with the players they want. The players they let go, traded, or cut were players they felt were not worth the money they were being paid, that they didn't have the money to keep, that didn't fit their culture, etc. Some of the players they brought in are "their guys" such as Allen, Edwards, and others. Many of the players they brought in were nothing more than attempts to fill holes until they got into 2019 where they now have cap space and draft picks to start adding more quality talent - more players that are "their guys." Just because they brought in players, it does not mean all of those players are "their guys." That is a pretty superficial assessment from someone who should know better.
  21. Don't be too hard on him, he still hasn't emerged from his shock and disbelief that EJ Manuel is still, somehow, not the starting QB for the Bills...
  22. Personally, I think the accuracy issue is an overblown narrative. Based on what I saw this year, I think the Bills have found their QB - with or without the "razzle dazzle sh*t." Mahomes had an incredible year. I was one that wanted the Bills to draft him; however, they didn't and I moved on. I'm not one to live in the past. I like what I see in Allen and I am truly looking forward to watching him grow as a QB.
  23. I believe you will.
  24. Yes, he could
