  1. Shhhhhhhhh…. Apparently, this thought will generate posts demanding you be banned from this forum
  2. Well, this is certainly going to confuse some posters in this thread...
  3. While it is close, between OJ Simpson and Jim Brown, IMHO, OJ was the best running back I have ever watched.
  4. You wouldn't have any expectations at all if you didn't have a team here...
  5. He’s still waiting for his man crush, EJ Manuel, to come back and rescue the franchise...
  6. I am fairly certain the Bills are not going to go into the season with McCoy and Gore as the only running backs on the roster. It is a little premature to comment on what Beane and McDermott are thinking about the position as a whole as free agency hasn't finished, the draft has yet to be held, and there will still be cuts from other teams. Regardless, the team can not address everything at once and finding the long term solution at running back is down the list of priorities at the moment. Build a decent o-line and the running game will be fine this year with those McCoy, Gore, and whatever other backs are on the team.
  7. Some see the glass half full, some see it as half empty, and some just seem to always see it shattered all over the floor...
  8. He simply asked you a question. Stop being so thin skinned. Throughout this thread, you have been engaging in the very same behavior you are railing against.
  9. You are right, there is no need to be rude. My apologies. I need to follow my own advice.
  10. Some sort of evaluative action in between putting a thought into writing and clicking "submit," will prevent most threads like this. Here are some simple things you could do: - Count to 10 - Ask yourself, "Is this a good idea?" - Step away from the computer and come back when you are sober I'm sure there are more...
  11. Well, watching your favorite football team play should always have a happy ending....
  12. Born into it. Passed on from my father and, in turn, passed down to my son - and now being passed on to my grandson. The gift that keeps on giving... Poor bastards
  13. Agree. Strong lines on both sides of the ball make the rest of the team better.
  14. Let's not get carried away...
  15. I don't believe the point of the video was that he juked the center... I think it was to show that he occupied 4 linemen on the play. Kind of hard to miss...
  16. Gettleman has a pretty impressive resume in scouting and evaluation of pro player. He learned under Bill Polian while a scout with the Bills (during his time the Bills were 81-46 with 4 SB appearances), then spent time as a scout with Denver (during his time there, the Broncos were 40-24 with 1 SB appearance - a win), as Director of Pro Personnel with the Giants under Ernie Accorsi (during his time there, the Giants were 131-109 with 2 SB appearances - 2 wins), and as GM of the Panthers where the team went 40-23-1 with 1 SB appearance. Not only has he been part of teams that went to a total of 8 super bowls, each team that he was with had a losing record the year before he joined them and were built into super bowl contenders. I'm not saying he was largely responsible (or even marginally helpful in his beginning years) for the success of those teams; however, he has been part of the successful building processes of different teams. He is almost 70 now (which I don't view quite as old as I used to - since I am now 60) and really grew up in football under a different era in terms of GM mentality.
  17. The past 25 years are irrelevant to this coaching staff. It is senseless to use that as a barometer for anything regarding the current FO or coaching staff.
  18. Right, because I’m sure the Bills’ coaching staff and front office have no idea who he is or what talent he may possess...
  19. I think because of that whole "opposable thumbs" thing...although I think I think he would probably be able to stay with any receiver, he would never be able to hang on to an interception...
