  1. 1. Allen is not a running QB. He is a QB who can run. 2. It is amazing how most of your posts, regardless of the topic, end with some sort of criticism of Allen - as if each thread for you is an exercise in "six degrees to Josh Allen sucks"
  2. I'm with you. I do not see anyone at the top of the draft worth giving up picks this year (2nd) and/or next year (1st) that could net additional impact players for a team needing them.
  3. I would like to see top DL pick at 9; however, It actually wouldn't surprise me to see the Bills draft Hockenson or Metcalf. I trust whatever direction they go.
  4. Spot on. There is more than enough tape on Nsekhe over the last three years to evaluate him. Also, not a lot of wear and tear for a 33 year old. IMO, it may turn out to be one of their better FA signings and he will surprise a lot of people.
  5. The three primary areas of weakness at the end of last season: 1. Offensive Line: Hired new offensive line coach and signed 6 offensive linemen, including, arguably, the best Center available. 2. Receiver: Signed three receivers 3. Special Teams: Hired new special teams coach and signed several ST players, including, again arguably, the best return guy in free agency Free Agency isn't even over and the draft has yet to take place. Yep - no plan at all.
  6. Seriously, my immediate thought after reading the quotes was it didn't have a tone of objectivity - and I am not one that gets upset when critical things are written about the Bills (as much of it has usually been true).
  7. Haha! My son was born at the beginning of their super bowl years. By the time he was old enough to really follow them, it was over - and too late for him to root for any team but the Bills. Poor bastard...
  8. Trust me, I get it. I've been watching this team since 1968 and have gone through far more lows than highs - like every other Bills fan. However, I still go into each and every season the same way: Optimistic and full of hope. Why not? It's just a game.
  9. Get ready - there are some on this board who will treat optimism like it's a communicable disease...
  10. I agree that all indications are that Beane would love to get Allen that true #1 receiver. I believe he explored (maybe still exploring) more options than just Antonio Brown via the trade route. I think Metcalf provides the perfect skill set to compliment Allen's strengths; however, I would have liked to see better consistency from him in catching the ball - in terms of technique and concentration. He is certainly another high ceiling prospect. If they are sold on him, I trust their judgement. If they are looking to go offensive weapon first and are not sold on Metcalf, they may, in fact, be looking at Hockenson as someone that has the fluidity, speed, and sharp route running to excel in that intermediate range that Allen loves. With the speed they put on the outside, he would have plenty of room to work. I have to confess that I would love to see Fant in that role.
  11. His official role on TBD is to be the cloud to every silver lining...
  12. Apparently it was his understanding there would be no math involved in this thread...
  13. Thanks OP Now all we need are the following threads: Draft Strategy: Beane Absolutely Must Draft Around Need this Year Draft Strategy: Beane Absolutely Must Draft Around BPA this Year Actually, the list is endless....
  14. Wishing nothing but the best for her.
  15. At least War and Peace was a work of fiction based around some factual accuracies...
  16. Unfortunately, I did. Reader's Digest Version: If Allen continues to play the way he has he will not only not reach franchise level, he will not even reach above average level. He needs tons and tons of offensive help and 24 hour a day coaching (mere experience won't cut it) or he will never overcome his "handicaps" and "terminal errors." The chances for it actually happening are small and if anyone doesn't believe what he does, then you fall in the "rainbows, unicorns, and lollipop contingent ."
  17. And so do their jerseys...
  18. This should be incorporated into one of the optional emoji responses - just to keep from having to type it so often.
  19. Barkley is a beast and clearly worth a number one pick. With that being said, if you are looking for a player to build your team around and be competitive for the next 10-12 (or more) years, it would be a QB, not a running back - particularly in today's NFL. I am not a Gettleman basher. He has a very impressive resume and learned under some of the best. Only time will tell how the QB class of 2018 turns out; however, IMHO, when your starting QB is nearing (and some might say already at) the end of his career and you have the number one pick in what could be an historic QB draft, the pick you have to make for the long-term good of your team is QB - regardless of what an immense talent Barkley is.
  20. He has never liked Allen and continually provides inaccurate information to justify his narratives. When you point out just the most blatant errors in his arguments he completely ignores it, misdirects the conversation, or accuses you of not being able to understand - and then he proceeds to provide the same inaccurate information in his next post. Trying to have a “reasonable” discussion with him about Allen is an exercise in futility...
  21. I absolutely love this kid - his mentality on the field and the way he plays the game. He lives in that 15 to 25 yard range and, while there are times it would be prudent to take that 7 yard dump off, I love that he’s always looking to make that big throw first and has the confidence in himself to do it. A fierce competitor, an incredibly hard worker, and gifted with talent. Show much to learn, but what potential! I feel like he will be our franchise QB, but you never know. What I do know is, that for me, he is exactly the kind of QB I want on the team I root for.
  22. Everybody has their own opinion, and I got that a number of fans were disappointed in the pick. However, what surprised me, was the sheer volume of posters that wanted to completely write this kid off before he ever even stepped foot on an NFL field. Also interesting how some of the most vocal posters, who were so absolutely certain Allen was going to be a complete bust, disappeared late in the season - rarely to be heard again on this forum, if at all....
  23. It has now been explained to you.
