  1. Looks like it would have been a tough catch, but one he could have made...
  2. I’m not sure why people feel compelled to tell other fans how to view the team and the season. If there are fans who feel extremely optimistic and want to talk about the Patriots game or possibly making the playoffs, why should they be told to chill out, it has only been two games, don’t get ahead of yourselves, etc, etc, etc.? Let them enjoy themselves and be, you know, fans. As for the team, I’m sure they are focusing on the game this weekend.
  3. THAT is a Buffalo QB! Got to love him!
  4. Why is it that anything positive about Allen has to be qualified with the level of competition he has faced? I don't really hear that very much when we are discussing other QBs...
  5. I think Jackson clearly has talent; however, you are right, Roman has an exceptional ability to create successful gameplans for QBs such as Jackson (go back and watch what he did with Kaepernick and, to a lesser extent, Taylor). In addition, they have played, statistically, the two worse defenses in the NFL. Jackson has far more physical talent than Kaepernick or Taylor, I am just not sure how longterm the success for him may be. It will be interesting to watch. He is certainly lighting it up right now.
  6. I am not a Rosen hater and I think he does have the talent to succeed in the NFL. Unfortunately, all along the way, he has presented himself in a way that makes it difficult to root for him - and, even worse for him - he has found himself in the worse possible circumstances for a young QB to succeed. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for him. It's life. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It is how you respond that most often defines you. Of course, most of us don't walk away from a failed effort financially well off enough to pursue any other dreams or interests we may have...
  7. 2020 crop of wide receivers is really good. I'd rather they package some picks to get the right complement for Allen.
  8. I don't think there is anything that could justify him sliding instead of going for the first down. Here he is starting his slide...
  9. I remarked to my son this past weekend that I feel strangely confident in 3rd and long situations, and even when there are penalties that put the offense in 2nd and 15 or 20 situations. It has been a long time since I felt that way about this team or a QB for this team. I have said it before, he is exactly the kind of QB I have been waiting for - and I think he is going to be special.
  10. Jets. The Browns somehow managed to become full of themselves before they actually accomplished anything.
  11. Let people have a little fun... You would think people would be a bit more congenial after two straight wins, on the road, to start the season.
  12. AB is just not a decent human being and I do not really care at all how his story ends.
  13. ...or an insurance adjuster
  14. I never understood people tempering hope or optimism. Why not have an abundance of both until it is clear there is no more hope or optimism for the season? At least then, you can fully enjoy it while it does last, rather than letting it go by because of a fear it will end anyway. Love what I am seeing so far and I have complete faith in where they are headed - until I shouldn't. Go Bills! And before I hear "the last 20 years" refrain, I have been a fan for 52 years and I have seen far more bad than good. Still full of hope and optimism at the start of each new season.
  15. Yeah, his injury was at the end of the fourth quarter. However, he only had three carries going into the fourth. It would be nice if he had a big game vs the Pats. It is similar; however, the Saints also had more playmakers on that offense. I certainly am not terribly concerned about it. They are clearly moving the ball on offense. I just felt he would have had a few more touches throughout the game - particularly in that third quarter when the offense was struggling a bit.
  16. I was one of those that liked Rudolph coming out of college. I didn't think he would be an upper echelon QB; however, I did feel had the ability to be a top 15 QB. It will be interesting.
  17. I am actually interested to see how Mason Rudolph fares.
  18. The reduced snaps for Singletary (48 to 25) and his low number of touches in this game was a head scratcher. Given that there is a big drop off in production in offensive skill positions after Brown and Beasley, you would think they would want to get the ball into the hands of another natural playmaker more. I don't think there is any question that Singletary has that natural playmaking ability. I really love what they are doing on offense and this would be my only real question mark so far.
  19. You complained and complained about Allen not reaching 60%. Now his accuracy is in the 64% range and it hasn't improved enough, and is still questionable, because he is not reaching 70%... Perhaps you should leave Allen out of your assessments of this team. It is clear there is something preventing you from evaluating Allen in an objective way. Stop. You can clearly make evaluations of this team after the first two games.
  20. In two weeks... Ed Oliver, meet Tom Brady...
  21. They are a good team. They played a good game. They won. Get used to it.
