  1. I won't concede anything at all to the Patriots. The Bills are actually a good team. The Patriots may win this weekend; however, they are going to have to come in here and earn it.
  2. Good post. The Bills are a pretty good offensive team: 4th in the NFL in touchdown drives of 70+ yds 5th in the NFL in scoring (TD & FG) drives of 70 + yds 5th in redzone pts 5th in redzone TDs 6th in net yds per drive 8th in net pts per drive 5th in net drive success rate (percentage of down series that result in a first down or touchdown) 5th in TOP The Bills have moved the ball well in their three games. The difference between the games being close or being blowouts came down to 3 things: (1) Turnovers, (2) Penalties in critical situations, and (3) Poor offensive play in the 3rd qtr of each game: Drives Tot Net Yds Scores TD FG Missed FG Safety INTs Fumbles Punts 1st Qtr 11 425 4 3 1 0 0 1 1 5 2nd Qtr 7 281 2 1 1 1 0 1 2 1 3rd Qtr 7 73 1 0 1 0 1 1 0 4 4th Qtr 8 383 4 4 0 0 0 0 0 4 If, on offense, the Bills can eliminate the turnovers and critical penalaties, as well as improve their 3rd quarter play; and, on defense, continue to play as they have, they absolutely can beat the Pats* Always entertaining to hear from fans who will go to any length to explain why the Bills aren't a good team This post is what happens when children try to participate in adult conversations
  3. Neither one are likeable
  4. It does on a fan forum...or is this thread a figment of my imagination?
  5. I do think they try to take away Brown and try to contain Allen in the pocket. If Singletary is back and healthy (big if), he provides that wildcard in the passing game. Also, if Knox becomes more consistent in catching the ball, we could be seeing the emergence of an upper echelon TE. He is an incredible athlete with a surprising physicality to his play. We all know the beast he was on the 49 yard catch/run and the 9 yard end around; however, he also had a 17 yard catch/run early in the second quarter where he took on three defenders, running over a DB, for an extra 4-5 yds. Let's hope he continues to shine this week!
  6. Oedipalonimo!
  7. Yep. I think Beasley and Knox have big games on Sunday. I would love to see the Bills beat them at their own game...
  8. My guess is that, not only will he probably never play in the NFL again, he will probably end up broke - either from squandering his money or law suits.
  9. The gift that keeps on giving...
  10. HaaHaa! I can see the resemblance, but, no, it's Sigmund Freud
  11. I suspect if we had a record of what everyone thought about Allen or any other draft pick ever at the time they were drafted, most of us would be wrong most of the time. For my part, the night of the draft, I was on the phone with my son. We both wanted Rosen; however, we would have been ok with Allen. There was an intial disappointment; however, after that, we both said we trusted this FO and never gave Rosen another thought. Every post I ever wrote from that point was pro Allen. The FO was right.
  12. I feel far better going into this game than I have about a Bills - Pats game in a long, long time. I like their chances and we will just have to see on Sunday. I love the direction this team is headed and I believe Allen will only get better. They might not win on Sunday, but it's coming soon... Go Bills!
  13. Somebody help me, I am trying to remember the last time Shannon Sharpe was relevant in any way?
  14. It would be nice to have him back; however, The Bills can certainly beat the Pats without him.
  15. I expect the Bills to win.
  16. Well, that would be disturbing...
  17. ...and at least one DB carted off the field
  18. I don't need any more reasons to love this kid - but they keep coming...
  19. Love it!!! I know it was not part of the same run; however, how in the world could they not show Knox's annihilation of Williams earlier in the game?
  20. Absolutely. This offense has consistently moved the ball well for 3 quarters of each game. It is not their ability that has hampered them. Critical (meaning when and where they happen) turnovers, mental mistakes (i.e.; the intentional grounding), and penalties, as well as horrific 3rd quarter play are the difference between 22 pts per game and having to win close games - and 31+ points per game and the games not being close. Clean those things up and this team can beat New England.
  21. Both games were winnable last year. The Pats are certainly one of the best teams in the NFL right now (if not the best); however, they are not unbeatable. The Bills do not have to play a perfect game to beat them. They just have to consistently play to their ability on both sides of the ball and not beat themselves with critical penalties and turnovers.
  22. I expect the Bills to make a statement....
  23. I think that can get you arrested in some states
  24. I counted at least five big plays he made doing just this sort of thing - including keeping scoring drives alive. Hopefully, he will continue to get better at learning when not to pull the trigger. However, that is part of his game and he makes far more good plays than bad. I don't seem to hear too much complaining when he does something like evade a rush, running toward the sideline, throwing off balance, 25 yards downfield, over one defender, infront of another defender, right into Brown's hands. He's a gunslinger. Better get used to it.
