  1. What a sad life you must lead...so much angst, bitterness, unhappinesss...over a game, in which another team picked the player you wish you had on your team...two years ago...and transferring all that anger and resentment onto Allen... You know, maybe it really isn't about a game. Emotional outbursts often are not about what they appear to be on the surface - but, instead, about something much deeper you just never dealt with. Find a good therapist. You might feel better.
  2. The Bills offense has a habit of keeping opponents in the game. It is not just Allen, there is plenty of blame to go around.
  3. The Cowboys aren't exactly an upper echelon defense. Not even close...
  4. They were not very good against either of the two good teams they have faced
  5. Dak is the reason Dak looks like like crap...
  6. I don't dispute that. However, don't discount the argument for one QB and offer it up for another. Be consistent.
  7. You are. Who cares who you are talking to. Stop trying to qualify it and have the cahonas and intellectual honesty to own it.
  8. Aren't you one of those who have criticized other posters as making excuses for saying the exact same thing about Allen?
  9. Better than your goal of just celebrating every quarterback as better than Allen....
  10. W. vs. Mia (5-1) 0-4 W. vs. Phi (6-1) 3-2 W. vs. Wash. (7-1) 5-0 W. @ Cle. (8-1) 2-3 W @ Mia (9-1) 0-4 W vs. Den. (10-1) 1-4 L @ Dal. (10-2) 3-2 W vs Bal. (11-2) 3-2 W @ Pitt. (12-2) 1-4 L @ NE (12-3) 5-0 W vs. NYJ (13-3) 0-4
  11. Agree, although, a tough road the remainder of the year: 8 of 12 games against teams in the top 12 in pass defense (DVOA) and 7 of them top 10 overall defenses (DVOA). Poor bastard...
  12. I am not a fan of Rosen for reasons other than his football skills; however, I am not a hater either. From purely a talent perspective, I always thought Rosen could be successful in this league. He has had the misfortune of landing on, perhaps, the worst team in football in each of his first two years in the league. It would be hard to accurately judge any QB in those situations. I think he has played well, considering the circumstances and, if things do not improve for him over the remainder of this season, I wonder how much damage these first two years will have caused - both to his psyche and to the perception of his abilities on the part of GMs and coaches around the league?
  13. They were also playing on the road aginst the 6th best defense in PPG. The Pats* played on the road against the third best defense in PPG a couple weeks ago, turned the ball over once, and scored 16 points.
  14. I posted this in another thread; however, I think it bears repeating in this thread: They had 3 drives inside the Jets 40 (2 inside the 30) with no points; 4 drives inside Cincy's 40 (2 inside the 30, 1 inside the 15) with no points; 7 drives into NE territory (4 inside the 40, 2 inside the 25, 1 inside the 10) with no points, and 4 drives inside the TENN 40 (although one was to end the game at the TENN 20) . That is 18 drives into opponents territory (15 inside the 40, 6 inside the 30) in 5 games with no points. They have moved the ball (12th in YPG), and they are money in the redzone (7th in scoring, 4th in TDs); however, they have had a problem finishing a number of drives in opponent territory outside of the redzone. I have watched every one of those drives and it is not all on Allen. He certainly has been part of it with turnovers, sacks, and bad plays; but, penalties, poor play by the Oline, dropped passes, and turnovers/mistakes by others have played just as big of a role. They have done more to stop themselves, from moving the ball consistently and scoring more, than opposing defenses have. Most of the offense has only played 5 NFL games together. I think they will come together more as a team, particularly when Williams and Singletary are fully integrated, the more they play together. If they (Allen in particular) can cut down on turnovers, play more consistent and make fewer critical mistakes, I believe this team could be in the top 10 in both YPG and PPG.
  15. That strategy seemed to work out just fine for Indy versus KC last week
  16. Good story and I think he is going to surprise a lot of people...
  17. It's not as if the offense hasn't helped in any way...
  18. That is absolutely correct. 18 drives ending in opponent' territory (15 inside the 40) with no points over the first five games. It is not all on Allen, I have looked at everyone of those drives and there is plenty of room for blame: turnovers, penalties, drops, sacks, etc. They can move the ball. Their problem has come in finishing those drives for scores.
  19. There are a number of reasons why they have not scored more points than they have and, believe it or not, Allen isn't the only reason. But I know you have to be ecstatic that, no matter the reasons for how then might end up tied or behind in the fourth quarter, you have a QB on your team that plays really well in the clutch and is one of the highest rated 4th quarter and redzone QBs in the NFL. Right?
  20. I bolded it, italicized it, and underlined it because this is the core of much of the criticism of Josh Allen: People continually looking only for those things that confirm what they believe.
  21. Don't you know? Even when he does well, he really doesn't. It's like a mirage in the desert. There is a narrative about Allen, and I don't think it will ever go away - even if he wins. I was reading an article on the TBD site today, "Pro Football Focus says Bills' wide receivers need to do more," (why? I have no ide as PFF is particularly bad at most of their analyses) and this little tidbit is illustrative of the narrative: However, the play at the quarterback position might not be setting them up for optimal success... Though Allen has generated a high adjusted completion percentage thus far (77.6%), that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s been accurate. Only 17 of his 163 passing attempts this season have been deemed as 100% on the mark.
  22. They could start by making the rules applicable to everyone... #LookinAtYouJonathonJones
