Can a referee be corrupt at an individual level? Of course. Can a conspiracy exist at a macro level? Practically speaking, it is highly unlikely. I think when you ask human beings, with all their biases and other imperfections, to make split second decisions in moments when things are moving very quickly and within environments that are emotionally charged - you are always going to run the risk of those biases or other imperfections affecting the process, consciously or subconsciously. And, sometimes, people are just not very good at what they do...

Every Cole Beasley catch vs. the Cowboys

Throws like the one out of the endzone is where the strength of Allen's arm will pay far more dividends during his career than 40-50 yard throws downfield...- 28 replies

Good Stuff! Riddick and Stephen A. Giving Props

Nice to hear some love coming Buffalo's way at the national level. As an aside: I love how people seem to be unable to talk about Josh Allen without a reference to his accuracy - even after a game where he completed almost 80% of his passes.- 48 replies

Dak Prescott had 300+ yards game!

When a QB throws the ball 49-50 times, he should have over 300 yards... -
So please tell me again, how McD is Dick Jauron
billsfan1959 replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, over the last three weeks, they have run uptempo, no-huddle offenses with small leads - and played more conservative only when they had comfortable leads late in the game - which is smart football. -
All I know is that we are going into December, with four games left, and the Bills are only a game and a half behind the Pats*** - with a chance at winning the Division. No matter how unlikely it might be that they win the Division, it is a lot better than where they typically are this time of year...

That Point Differential thing, Wk 12 Version
billsfan1959 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Continuing on that upward trend in point differential and the Bills are squarely in the group of teams most would consider top teams in the NFL. -
Josh Allen - week THIRTEEN report card

A+ He is exactly the kind of QB I have wanted for this team for a long time. -
Some of that was his own doing. He had this strange, almost fetish level obsession with undersized linebackers...

Colin Kaepernick became a circus for any team that employed him. Quite honestly, he wasn't good enough to offset the circus that came with him, and he didn't seem to have any interest in actually concentrating on what he was being paid to do: play football. I don't recall any other football player taking a knee during the anthem or being vocal about racial injustice that has a hard time staying employed by the NFL. It was not "widely" suggested that Lamar Jackson play wide receiver. It was a suggestion by some - and it was not based on his race. It was based on his athleticism and questions regarding his potential as a "passing" QB (Were you as offended when there were suggestions by some that Tim Tebow should play tight end?). There weren't calls for Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton, Dak Precott, Deshaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes, etc. to become wide receivers. You are right, history is not too far in the past. However, if views and perceptions by most Americans were still the same as they were not all that long ago - none of those men would be playing in the NFL. @fansince88wasn't suggesting their aren't racial issues in this country or that they haven't played a role in virtually every aspect of society. He was simply saying it is not nearly as pervasive as it was. We are human beings that, by nature are imperfect (and will never reach perfection) and there are still plenty of examples around us of racism, sexism, etc., etc.; however, we have, and are continuing to, evolve as a society. Things have gotten better and will continue to get better. To quote Victor Hugo, "...we recognize one thing: that the human race has been badly manhandled, but that it has moved forward.”

Next two weeks tell us all we need to know
billsfan1959 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right. If they can't play head to head with teams like Baltimore, Dallas, and New England (and they did come close with NE despite an offensive meltdown), then they are not ready to go very deep in the playoffs. This will be an interesting stretch and I wonder if they are going to keep Daboll in the booth and go more uptempo? -
So let me get this straight: (1) You want to condemn those who denigrate an entire group of people by denigrating an entire group of people? (2) You post a video that is supposed to be some clever dagger into the heart of the "Southerners" who took offense to your posts; except, everyone who responded to you is from the North. You are just not very good at this are you? Another shining example of why cousins shouldn't marry....

From Kelly 2 Allen - WGRZ extended interview
billsfan1959 replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great interview. IMO, Allen (like Kelly was) is better in an uptempo offense. He seems to play more instinctively, gets into a better rhythm, and I think he has the mind for it. All year long, he has been pretty successful when operating out of the no huddle and against Miami, they ran it more extensively - and pretty successfully. I am hoping they continue that trend.
