  1. I think he is sincere in his appreciation and would probably like to stay. However, it is a business and he is going to go where the money is.
  2. "Reality" for Democrats is relative and ALWAYS involves hyperbolic, worst case scenario, language and projections. People are relegated to two classes: either you are being victimized or you are victimizing others, and the end of civilization is always right around the corner...
  3. Shouldn't you be out buying toilet paper and other end of the world supplies?
  4. Nobody does; however, as usual, you shifted the focus to avoid the point of my post. There is taking something seriously and then there is fear mongering. You know the difference.
  5. Some people see the glass as half full, some people see the glass as half empty, and Democrats see the glass as inevitably shattering into a million pieces and everyone dies of thirst...
  6. I doubt it is possible. I suspect there are many more cases out there where the symptoms are just not severe enough to warrant concern that they have the COVID-19 virus.
  7. Something I think we can all agree on....
  8. By your own argument here, maybe you should refrain from offering an on opinion on anything other than being...y'know...a teacher...
  9. The numbers didn't come from DeWine. They came from Dr. Amy Acton, Director, Ohio Dept of Health. Here is a link to their press conference if you are interested. If you go to about the 38:30 mark, she talks for several minutes about the data and how she arrived at her "guesstimates" of the timeframe for the peak of the virus, the rate the virus is spreading, the percentage of the population that will be infected, etc. This is where she "guesstimates" about 100,000 people in Ohio (1% of the population) are currently infected with the virus. Elsewhere in the press conference, she states, at the time of the conference, there are 9 "confirmed" cases, 4 requiring hospitalization, and no deaths.
  10. Nope. That was just for Ohio. From News 5 in Cleveland 3 days ago: "We know now, just the fact of community spread says that at least 1%, at the very least 1% of our population is carrying this virus in Ohio today," said Dr. Amy Acton, Director of ODH. "We have 11.7 million people." "Whenever you know of 2 people that have it due to community spread, then you can assume that 1% of your population has it," said ODH Press Secretary Melanie Amato, citing a 2017 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report from the CDC. "According to the Governor Mike DeWine’s Office and the ODH, cases are expected to double every six days." Yet, Ohio only has 5 confirmed cases and no deaths...
  11. It came straight from DeWine He also said they believed that numer was going to double every 6 days - which means there should be about 150,000 by now. That doesn't really reconcile with the death rates being reported or your statement that hospitals are not seeing an influx of COVID-19 patients. If there are 150,000 + people walking around Ohio with only five "confirmed" cases and no deaths, then either they are spreading disinformation (which only serves to make people panic even more) or it's not as deadly as they are portraying. They cannot have it both ways.
  12. And Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever!
  13. And the same people lecturing us on referring to it as the "China" Coronavirus or as coming from China still use the term MERS when talking about past viruses. Probably because 95% of them have no idea it stands for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome... Shouldn't Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar be out there trying to get such a clearly anti-Muslim reference banned...or just renamed as the Israeli Respiratory Syndrome...?
  14. The National Emergency is a natural by product of how things have progressed. It doesn't equal hysteria. However, none of that had to do with your original post that I responded to. Your rambling on and on about Trump being unfit because he hasn't been tested is what I was referring to. Of course, you know that. In typical fashion, when you have nothing substantive to say or cannot intellectually defend yourself, you divert the topic...
  15. And the torrent of hysteria from the left just keeps on flowing... Well, the answer to that question would be yes; however, it has nothing to do with being tested...
  16. That seems odd since DeWine stated they believed at least 100,000 people in Ohio were infected with the disease and that it would double every six days. Seems like you would be seeing an influx, no?
  17. Nope. Native of Buffalo, but thanks for playing
  18. I agree, it must be tiring for you. I don’t believe your autonomic arousal system was meant to run at full capacity 24/7...
  19. Don’t you ever tire of looking at everything Trump related as being a world ending crisis?
  20. You can lie to us; however, don't lie to yourself. Very unhealthy...
  21. And I repeat, you have no idea how many of the Chinese in your country are positive for the disease. 80% who get it have mild symptoms. If they do not go to the hospital and do not get tested you will never know.
  22. Your next big hope for Trump to be removed from office. It must be awful to be so terrified of a Trump reelection...
  23. The fact is, you have no idea how many Chinese may have been infected and may have brought the disease to Italy if they never sought medical treatment in Italy. If they did bring the virus with them, to say it would have been contained within the Chinese community and not spread outside of it is naive at best and willfully ignorant at worst.
