  1. The extreme reaction is from people like you who live in a world of false dichotomies and a complete lack of understanding of human nature. This isn't an all or nothing proposition. There are ways to phase back in the workforce while still doing all we can to fight the virus. It is uncertainty that drives fear and people need a sense of comfort, a feeling of security, and a light at the end of the tunnel, even if it materializes later, rather than sooner. Why do you lock your doors at night? Because it makes you feel safe, even though it wouldn't really prevent anyone from getting into your home and harming you if they wanted to. If you ever had children, how many times did you tell them everything was going to be alright, or that you would always keep them safe, or any other comforting words that you either knew were unlikely or even false? Because people need that sense of certainty in their lives. You can call it false hope. I call it strong leadership.
  2. You link two things in your response: A left leaning writer in a legal newsletter and a hit piece in Vanity Fair. Pretty high brow-stuff....
  3. During the WHO briefing yesterday, an AP reporter asked Dr. Tedros about Trump. The day before, Tedros had tweeted praise for Trump's handling of the virus. If you are interested, it is at about 56:20 of the video. I just love the question. So typical. Tedros couldn't have really meant what he said. My favorite part of the question is, even though Tedros hadn't expressed any concerns with the decisions Trump has made, the reporter basically asks, "How concerned are you?" AP Reporter: I just want to ask you, Dr. Tedros, the tweeting that you did yesterday, you were pretty praiseworthy of President Trumps efforts. I'm just wondering, you said that he's doing a great job.I'm just wondering, you know, that President Trump has, from the beginning, minimized the importance of this, at the very start, and is now talking about Churches that might be packed in the United States come Easter time. How concerned are you about some of the decisions he is making and do you really think he is doing a great job across the board? Dr. Tedros: I stand by what I said. Tedros then goes on to praise Trump for doing exactly what the WHO has outlined and been asking government leaders to be doing. He also praised the role of medical and scientific communities in the US in the response - you know, the people Trump never listens to according to our friends on the left. One of his quotes: "President Trump's commitment, you have already seen it, the whole world has seen it, and that type of leadership is very, very important."
  4. Exactly. First he said it was because the CDC guidelines and federal guidelines do not match, implying he was aware of what was in the guidelines for each. Next he says there are no federal guidelines. On par with most of his posting.
  5. Most of us pray as well, just for things that are more benevolent and helpful.
  6. So, the federal guidelines are more strict? Does that mean that Trump is now doing too much? Asking for a friend...
  7. Absolutely. Democrats need to collectively look in the mirror and say to themselves, “We have met the enemy of the American people and it is us.“ Recognizing the problem is always the first step toward finding a solution....
  8. The left-wing media is pushing real hard to not show Trump’s briefings because they look at it as free political airtime and his ratings are going up. Not for any other reason.
  9. Shhhhh.... Never let the facts get in the way of a good tantrum...
  10. If you stopped talking out of your ass, we would probably never hear from you again....
  11. That's rich, coming from you. Pot, meet kettle.... And what countries are those, exactly? China, who can never tell the truth about anything? South Korea? I don't really see many countries out there, with any real numbers of infected, slowing down the spread. Italy? Spain? France? Germany? UK? We have a similar or lower infection rate when compared to any of them, and a lower death rate (based on confirmed cases) than all of them, except South Korea. That can all change. However, if you are going to criticize this administration, then, to be intellectually honest, you need to criticize every government of every country out there (outside of South Korea) that is experiencing any substantial number of infections.
  12. I hope they do - I'm sure that will go over big. Democrats just don't understand that the vast majority of people don't want to hear that S%*t when they are in the midst of losing lives and losing income. And they completely overlook the fact that most Americans are smart enough to realize that, for the Democrat's attacks and criticisms to be benificial to them - which is the only reason they do it - there needs to be a rise in the death toll and fall of the economy of near catastrophic proportions. What a thing to hope for... Their hatred and rage burn so deeply and so bright, it completely blinds them to reality and reason.
  13. What, nothing in there for the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts? I'm so f'n done with Congress....
  14. If he can figure out how to get back out of his house after his self-quarantine...
  15. 1. And yet 60% of the public thinks he is doing a good job with this. Only 38% don't - and you know who you people are: The die hard left who turn everything he does into non-stop crises of world ending proportions. Of course, when confronted with the fact that most Americans disagree with you here, people like you don't take the time to self-reflect on the possibility you might be wrong. Instead, you double down on your delusional self-perception of being more "enlightened" and smarter than everyone else. 2. Right now, someone needs to figure out something to keep this economy from collapsing. I trust Trump to do it more than I do any "politician."
  16. While you are sitting in your safe space, look up the term "projection."
  17. As usual, the point of my post went right over your head. How do you even function at such a high level of emotionality. You are like one of those dolls where you pull the string on her back and she cries hysterically, except you pull your own string...over...and over...and over...and over...and over... Seriously. The constant emotional instability and incoherence you exhibit in your posts is concerning. You need to go back to your safe space before you have an aneurysm. I'll say a prayer for you at Easter Mass.
  18. Good post, as always. I agree with your three points. In regard to Allen, he certainly needs to show more improvement and consistency; however, I would also add in the receiver group and Oline to the "consistent 24+ points per game" equation. Edge is certainly the area on defense in which I would love to see an addition of a talent such as Ngakoue.
  19. "What distance will you guys go to defend this idiot? I hope it's more than 6 feet" Oooooh...soooo dramatic. Where has all your rooftop shouting been for the: 600,000+ people who die each year in this country from heart disease? 500,000+ people who die each year in this country from cancer? 175,000+ people who die each year in this country from influenza, pneumonia, and chronic respiratory diseases? 125,000+ people who die each year in this country from strokes? 100,000+ people who die each year in this country from dementia? 125,000+ people who die each year in this country from diabetes? or all the other people who make up the almost 3,000,000 people who die each year in this country? Oh, I forget. It's not really about people dying, now is it? It's about using tragedy for political gain. Carry on now with your childlike histrionics....
  20. I am actually pro choice (up to 20 weeks), pro death penalty, and I don't believe we should allow our economy to collapse over this virus. You are like a hysterical child.
  21. If a majority decides retroactive abortion is moral and legal, then I have a few nominees...
  22. You really have no clue as to the potential economic consequences here, do you? You know, it is okay if you are ignorant. Just know that when you start typing in a post, much like opening your mouth to speak, your ignorance is on full display.
  23. Yep. Welcome to the economic version of the dust bowl...
  24. And, eventually, the world will end....
